Book number four in the series does not disappoint!
This series has grown to become one of my favorites.
Lilly and the gang return in this latest offering and it was even better than I expected.
The characters are easily some of my favorites to read about.
The whodunit had me hooked from the beginning and I did not want to put this book down.
One of my top five mysteries this year.
I highly recommend this series.
I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

I enjoyed this book. I liked the characters, they're colorful and kind to each other especially the dogs. The dogs are great also. The book is well paced without any slow spots. The investigating is well done and the reveal is exciting with all the characters involved. PawandOrder #NetGalley

I received this ebook for my fair and honest review. I loved this book! I haven’t read the previous books in this series but the author did such a good job that I was able to jump right in and enjoy the book. The character development was very well done and the world building was excellent. I will be reading everything by this author!

Paw and Order by V.M. Burns
This is such a great book. I love how Ms. Burns deftly writes characters who are real, entertaining and so incredibly likable. Each book in this series just keeps getting better. The Chattanooga setting is so fun too! The mystery was easy to figure out who did it but the reason they did it was a surprise! I just love Joe and Red.
I highly recommend this book to everyone. It is truly a cozy mystery with no sex or swearing.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher and NetGalley. The views given are my own.

After I finish reading a Dog Club Mystery, or any other of the author's series, I find myself with a range of emotions - happy for reading such a wonderful book, sad since I have no other mystery of hers to read and hopeful because I know another book will be coming! Paw and Order evoked such feelings. A new "man" comes into Lilly's life in the form of a lovable poodle named Rex. The problem is someone may be willing to kill to get their hands on Rex and his murdered owners fortune. Lilly and company are on the case to make sure this doesn't happen!

Each of the characters in the series is so well-written that any could have a series of their own. Dixie, the feisty dog trainer, Stephanie (Lilly's daughter who is an attorney), Red (Lilly's boyfriend) and the other "team" members work together beautifully. It's wonderful to read a book that has diverse characters. All of the characters are relatable and believable. The romantic and humorous touches in the book enhance the story without overshadowing the mystery. A perfect book!

I'm hopeful and ready for the next mystery!

Ms. Burns has written another winner in the 'Dog Club' series. I like the way that Ms. Burns writes and conveys the way dog shows and training are handled. I've shown dogs for many years, so I have no trouble envisioning the dog show setting for this book.

Although I had part of the mystery figured out, I still wasn't quite sure who the murderer was. It kept me reading until the end. I'm looking forward to the next one in the series.

I’m always thrilled to find a new story in one of my favorite pet cozy series! It’s not often—more like never before—that Lilly Ann Echosby finds a tiny silver poodle with bloody paw prints that lead straight to it’s murdered owner! I immediately fell in love with the (now) orphaned male poodle, Indulf aka Rex, who becomes fast friends with Lilly’s female toy poodle, Aggie. The plot plunges into action as someone tries to dognap tiny Rex who Lilly is fostering until someone decides where his forever home will be.

With best friend, Dixie, and attorney daughter, Stephanie by her side, Lilly is close on the trail of the killer and determined to protect Rex’s rights, also. Author V.M. Burns pens a lively tale of greed and corruption, and blends humor and compassion into scenes to provide a satisfying mystery and a story pet lover’s will enjoy!

I honestly reviewed a digital arc provided by NetGalley and Kensington. Thank you.

The dogs steal the show with this one ;) I loved all the pooches. The storyline is good and while it can be read as a standalone, you might want to pick up the earlier ones for more background on the characters.

Paw and Order by V.M. Burns is the fourth book in her Dog Club series and was the best one yet.

Every time I begin a book by Ms. Burns I feel like I have stepped into the world of old friends. Lilly, Dixie, Stephanie, Red and Joe have all become "real" to me and I am so glad to be in this comfortable world again. This time Lilly has two murders to solve with only a few suspects. There is trouble with Stephanie and Joe's relationship but Lilly's determined to stay on the sidelines while they work it out. The pace of the story is perfect with descriptive details that just make me feel right at home and rooting for Lilly and the Dog Club members to solve the mystery.

I enjoyed reading this cozy mystery, and even though I started with Paw and Order and not the first book in the series it didn’t matter as the book is fully fleshed out and you basically catch up with what you’ve missed. Entertaining and likable characters, set in a great Southern place, Chattanooga, and the best of all....dogs. I think our patrons will enjoy this series, and I’m looking forward to the next one.

When an eccentric billionaire is murdered at a fundraiser for a poodle rescue group, Lilly agrees to foster his adorable miniature poodle puppy who is now orphaned. Lilly renames the puppy Rex (after Rex Stout), and all is going well with Rex fitting in with Lilly's other poodle, Aggie (after Agatha Christie), and the other dogs in their dog training class. But almost immediately Rex is the subject of an attempted puppy-napping, and it's clear someone seems to really want this dog. The members of the dog training class jump in to help, both with finding the would-be kidnapper and the killer.

Paw and Order is a wonderful, sweet cozy mystery. Lilly's family and friends are supportive, fun and engaging. I loved all the dog-related action and events. Paw and Order is part of a series but I think you can begin here if you choose.

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the ARC. The opinions in this review are honest and my own. #PawAndOrder

Through NetGalley, I received a free copy of PAW AND ORDER (Book 4 of the Dog Club Mysteries) by V.M. Burns in exchange for an honest review. Lilly Ann Echosby feels like she has almost adjusted to being the owner of Aggie, one little poodle with a huge personality, and to being an active member of a dog club. When a wealthy benefactor is found dead at a fundraiser, his little poodle puppy is left homeless. Lilly, being of soft and squishy heart, ends up taking the wee beastie home and renaming him Rex. Soon, mysterious figures repeatedly attempt to steal little Rex while the man’s never-before-seen relatives hound Lilly for ownership. This raises Lilly’s hackles; now, neither she nor Aggie will rest until they sniff out the truth and make their newest pack member safe.

I liked this book and enjoy the series. I recommend this book to fans of the series, to fans of V.M. Burns, and to fans of cozy mysteries featuring murder, dogs, dog clubs, dog events, new beginnings, adult children, and mature sleuths.

Lilly attends a poodle fund raiser her BFF Dixie has coordinated and meets an eccentric billionaire and his small poodle. When the man is murdered at the event, Lilly fosters his dog and falls head over heels for him. But it seems Lilly isn’t the only one who wants the pint size pooch, as someone attempts to steal him from her yard and then the dead man’s cousins lay claim to him as well. Lily, Dixie and the rest of the dog training class, both human and canine, join forces to sniff out the killer.

With a wide range of suspects and clues to keep your mind puzzling out the mystery, this is the best entry in the series yet! If you are a dog lover, you will be in heaven as there is one dog for each regular character in the series.
