Overall I enjoyed the plot and the characters. The plot was well thought out, however, I feel like nothing really happened until the last three chapters. I enjoyed Cecelia as a character, I liked how she was willing to go against the norm and she wouldn't let anyone (especially men) tell her who and what she could be.

Cecelia Teague is the brilliant mathematician with a sunny disposition compared to her other Red Rogues counterparts. Despite her tragic upbringing, Cecelia has a way of always looking at life where the glass is half full. In contrast, Ramsay is Lord Chief Justice to the High Court and he takes his job very seriously. Ramsay has a very stern attitude, further compounded by the fact that he indulges in absolutely nothing. But his eye has snagged on Cecelia and she's a very tempting package with her ability to enjoy life's little pleasures and both her alluring appearance and personality.

These two wind up entangled in a bit of an odd situation where Ramsay is exercising his authority to rid a certain establishment of its ability to do business and it happens to be the same place that Cecelia has recently inherited through her anonymous benefactor. Their morals clash, but only because Ramsay is convinced that this place is tarnished and tainted whereas Cecelia looks upon it as an opportunity to provide much needed aid to those who cannot otherwise make an honest living. Ramsay is unwilling to bend his will and it infuriates him even further at how attractive he finds Cecelia. Underneath all these hard edges and walls around his heart, Ramsay slowly softens towards Cecelia because she is unlike other women. She stands her ground, she states her rebuttal very eloquently and she has so much love and compassion within her. It's impossible for Ramsay to resist despite his best efforts. I found both of these characters to be intriguing and engaging, it was impossible not to root for them.

I liked that these two lonely souls found each other and the sort of comfort that is worth fighting for and keeping. There are some interesting twists and turns that I didn't see coming. Their chemistry is intense and magnetic. If the little tidbits here and there are any indication about where things will lead for Francesca in the next book, then it promises to be another exciting installment and hopefully some long awaited answers, too.

DNF. I was excited for this book. The cover and description made it seem like something I would really enjoy. However, I started it and stopped after the fifth time I wrote "ew" in my notes, which was about half way through chapter one. After that I skimmed the book and got the gist. The heroine was fine and I was good with her introduction in the prologue. I pretty much hated the hero from the moment he was introduced. He was literally introduced objectifying the heroine and comparing her to food. Literally he sees her as "a living sin... a wicked brew of both innocence and indulgence. The female equivalent of a truffle." Ew ew ew ew no.

I looked over some reviews on Goodreads to see if it would be worth pushing through and finishing and EXCUSE ME the only not straight and not white characters in the book are the villains, Oh hell no. THAT IS NOT OKAY, especially in a book from a large publisher. Sometimes no representation is better than bad representation. I do not see myself returning to this book or author.

This review will not be included on my blog. Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martins Press for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I enjoyed the story of Cecelia and Ramsay! Watching them either argue or fall in love depending on which persona Cecelia was using was entertaining! Plus, Phoebe was the crowning touch. Thank you for the advanced copy! I can't wait to see if little Phoebe has a future story after all the Red Rogues have their story told!

This is only my second Kerrigan Byrne and I can't wait to devour her back list. I absolutely loved How to Love a Duke in Ten Days and couldn't wait to read the 2nd book in the Devil You Know series.

All Scot and Bothered is Cecelia Teague's story: the quiet mouse of the Red Rogues who favors spectacles, truffles and champagne, and complicated mathematical equations. After inheriting a gaming hell, Cecelia comes up against Cassius Ramsay, the Vicar of Vice and Lord Chief Justice of the High Court, who accuses Cecelia of not only running a whore house but also being involved in a human trafficking ring. Cecelia must track down the people perpetrating horrific crimes and Ramsay must protect her at all costs.

I've always believed people are more than just a collection of choices. It is why their worth - their worthiness - cannot be calculated mathematically."

Cecelia is the best part of this (and Phoebe and Jean-Yves!). Although by the end I loved Ramsay, he was a little to sanctimonious for me to be swooning over. But Cecelia!!!! I love a thick, curvy, outspoken and SMART heroine and Cecelia checks all of those buckets. She is also really funny and I loved her internal monologue. I do wish that the cover more accurately represented Cecelia's full-figured body.

How was it that men could hurt women, and they forever went unpunished? I love that Kerrigan Byrne's books deal with real issues and have real mysteries. In ASOB we have fat-shaming, self-worth, loneliness, murder, assault, child trafficking, and a variety of other critical issues. It is not a quick, easy or fluffy book and I love that.

Overall, I really enjoyed this and I love how the ending gave us some teases into Francesca's story.

Thank you to St. Martin's Press and Netgalley for a review copy!

3.5 stars. This was an interesting book, but I had a harder time connecting with these characters than I had in previous books by this author. I think it felt like the MCs were a bit all over the place in terms of characterization. I have to say that I did enjoy Cecelia's character more than Ramsay's though.
The mystery part of the novel was my favorite part. I thought it was well done, and I was genuinely surprised at the reveal in the end. It also nicely setup the next novel in the series.

4.5 Stars!
Kerrigan Byrne is one of those HR authors that are consistently reliable. Even when one of her books isn’t a top favorite of mine, it still tends to be far better than many others in the current genre and I’m invariably entertained.

I’m really loving the heroes (and heroines) of this newest series. They’re not the anti-heroes we’ve come to expect from her previous Victorian Rebels Series, but they’re still dangerous, brooding, and broken. While the previous book (How to Love a Duke in 10 Days) was a top favorite from last year, it was the heroine who stole that story for me. In All Scot and Bothered, I was riveted to hero Cassius Gerard Ramsay and his unleashed intensity. Seriously, riveted.

This was an enemies-to-lovers with a delicious slow burn that made the ensuing romance that much more special. I loved the sexy push and pull between the main characters and they had a couple of the most swoon-worthy encounters that I’ve read in Byrne’s stories. Both Ramsey and Cecelia were strong and respectable characters, but when they revealed their vulnerabilities they were elevated to amazing. Alongside the luscious romance, the author wove within a darker story line concerning human trafficking. Although it never went too deep into that darker element, it certainly lent relevance to present day. The author also injected a little whimsy into the story with the addition of Cecelia’s ward, Phoebe. Not overdone, but at times her young character added a sweet and precocious lightness to the story.

With her compelling descriptions and story development, the author again delivered an entertaining romance with a hero and heroine that I absolutely loved. I’m fairly certain we also saw the hero for the third book play a significant role in this one. It remains to be seen, but if so, he’s going to be a fun one.

When Cecelia Teague finds out that the mysterious benefactor who plucked her from her personal hell as a child, the one who sent her to boarding school, then later university was the owner of a gaming hell, she doesn’t bat an eye. When she’s willed the gaming hell and school for girls, she steps in to run it, but it’s not an easy task. Just moments into finding out about it all, the “Vicar of Vice” and the police are literally breaking down their doors and searching for the whereabouts of a young girl that’s been taken. The young girl is just a latest in a string of young girls, and the “Vicar” is sure that the “Scarlet Lady” is the one behind it. When he meets the newest owner of the gaming hell though, he doesn’t see who she really is. The disguise that was hastily thrown on Cecelia protects her true identity. Too bad she knows who the “Vicar” is, for he is none other than Lord Ramsay, the brother in law of one of her best friends, and Lord Chief Justice of the High Court. A rigid man who only sees in black and white, not the many delicious shades of gray that there are in between.
Will Cecelia be able to fool the big, brutish Scot and be able to run her establishment without him knowing? Welp, not for long. Especially when there’s a plot to kill her and destroy the establishment. Words out, the “Crimson Council” knows that Cecelia’s aunt (the one who was her benefactor and left her the establishment) has left a book filled with the nefarious deeds of many of the men who reside in England. One that could bring down some in the royal house, and the ton. They must recover that book and destroy it before the code is deciphered and their secrets are exposed.
Ms. Byrne has written a humdinger of a story. Full of action and romance, you’ll be hooked from the opening pages. I rather love that two completely broken people can come together with a love that’s fierce and forever. This is the second book in the series, but you don’t need to read the first book, but like me, you’ll want to!
**I received an ARC of this story from the publisher and this is my honest and voluntary review.

I loved this book! I loved the chemistry between CeCelia and Ramsay. There was definite obstacles in their way but they were both strong minded and determined. The way they were “flawed” didn’t seem unrealistic and they did have to overcome a lot. I felt for both of them and I loved that Cecelia was no a damsel in distress. She wanted to have her own career regardless of her husband and his career.

What I also loved was that our hero was a Scot. I have a weakness for anything Scottish. Who doesn’t want to fall in love with a Scot right? And a heroine who enjoys chocolate and has some sexy curves? Sign me up.

I love how Bryne approaches historical romance. It feels fresh and the stories are in depth and I feel like I am transported. I did not read the first book in the series, but I bought it on my Kindle. I need to know all the stories in this series.

If you love great character development, a good story, and amazingly steamy scenes. This is the book for you.

Cassius Ramsey, Lord Chief Justice of the High Court of England, didn’t get where he is by showing mercy. He’s had to make his own way in a ruthless world with his strength and cunning, so he’s very much used to having his way in all things. His latest mission is to investigate the happenings at a notorious London gaming den which he suspects is connected to the disappearances of several young girls. It also happens to be owned by the woman he can’t stop thinking about and who is, even more inconveniently, his sister-in-law’s best friend.

Cecelia Teague has lived the majority of her life under the support of an unknown benefactor, enabling her to attend a prestigious boarding school and then university. Now, in the course of one afternoon, she learns her benefactor was in fact her late mother’s sister, who has been murdered, and has left Cecelia her gambling den as an inheritance. Cecelia is caught between her regular life in which she is a mathematician increasingly attracted to the stern Lord Ramsey, and the people who now depend on her and her business, which is under attack from the very man who is the source of her infatuation. Cecelia would dearly like to keep her two roles separate, but with her aunt’s enemies now setting their sights on her, that is unlikely.

I had such high expectations for this book, and it left me with such mixed feelings. I really enjoyed parts of it, but others were a slog to get through, like it was taking on a bit too much. Given that there was so much going on here, it was sometimes difficult to stay invested with the story taking several abrupt turns. Ramsey was a rather tragic character for me, but oftentimes his treatment of Cecelia and his mistrust, though understandable, made him difficult to like. That said, I did appreciate his protectiveness and the huge amount of character development he showed, especially given the amount of emotional upheaval he faced. Cecelia was the perfect combination of sweetness and strength that made her an excellent match for Ramsey, though at times her behavior was totally nonsensical and annoying. Also, the male nicknames were heavily in use here and just seemed rather silly to me although I can’t put my finger on why. So much strife could’ve been avoided if Cecelia and Ramsey had been more honest with each other sooner, which I know would’ve shortened the book considerably, but it also would’ve lessened my frustration with its characters. At times, it almost seemed like these weren’t the same Cecelia and Ramsey we met in the previous book and that was a little jarring. Overall, I did like this couple together and I enjoyed much of the story, it just wasn’t quite up to my expectations given my love of the first book in this series. Nonetheless, I look forward to Francesca’s book.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Cecilia Teague had a rough childhood, but eventually found a new benefactor and two wonderful friends. She is highly intelligent, sweet, caring, and optimistic. She is curvy and bespeckled and does not fit the physical image or have the title of a society lady. And her benefactor just left her a gambling hell and a mystery to solve that could be making her a target. To keep her reputation intact she will have to keep her identity hidden in her new business pursuits.

Ramsay, the Lord Chief Justice of the High Court is rough, arrogant, ruthless, cynical, and unyielding. And he is determined to take down the gambling hell and end what he thinks is their part in girls going missing. Unfortunately, the new Scarlet Lady also garnered his attention in another way and he hates being attracted to her. And he also has an unhealthy attraction to Cecilia who is friends with his brother's wife. He has been celibate for years and has no intention to marry or trust a woman again. He has self-worth issues and has been conditioned to believe he is nothing without his job title. He is pretty hard to like at the beginning of this story, and I was not sure he ever would be.

They both appreciate their freedoms. Men have always treated her like she was either lacking or too much. Women have always deceived him. And while Ramsay and Cecilia are finally starting to talk and get to know each other. He and the Scarlet Lady are at war. But he does not realize they might be fighting on the same side until she is targeted.

There is an underlying mystery, suspense, threats, and even unsolved murders. Cecilia and her friends are forced to keep secrets. It is hard to know who is friend or foe. Ramsay is a man conflicted in many ways, and he has a hard time feeling a pull towards any woman, especially when that threatens his control. And once he realizes that she is being targeted, his protective instincts begin to kick in.

I liked seeing all of the sides of Ramsay. The in-control and broody Vice Of Vicar, the burly, unrestrained beast, and the lost little vulnerable and hurt boy. He actually won me over and I liked him even when he was being stubborn, prideful, or stupid about feelings. And I enjoyed seeing Cecilia challenge and push him. She wears her heart on her sleeve and that is foreign to him. Their banter is spirited and challenging, and their chemistry is explosive. She wants to be loved for all of her quirks, flaws, and intelligence. He struggles with self-worth and is afraid he is not enough as a man. And no matter what happens with them, their goals and jobs do not seem to be able to co-exist.

This is a suspenseful, fiery, passionate, enemies-to-lovers story with mystery, danger, surprises, and twists. It builds and builds to a climax I did not see coming. This brings back her friends, The Red Rogues, Alexandra and Francesca, and Alex's husband, Redmayne. One more Rogue left and that will be Francesca's story. She already has a tragic past and not so hidden agenda. And we meet a couple of new characters I am sure we will see again.

Heat - 4
CW - fat-shaming, abuse at the hand of a religious figure, violence, death on-page, child abuse, death of child discussed

All Scot and Bothered is the latest installment in Kerrigan Byrne’s Devil You Know series. This book is about Cecelia Teague, a woman who’s lead a tough life as an orphan with a mother that had a scandalous past. She gets the shock of a lifetime when she inherits a gambling hell from a previously unknown relative. This new inheritance puts her in the crosshairs of Cassius Ramsey, the Lord Cheif Justice of the High Court, and a mand that takes his job very seriously. His job puts him in direct opposition to Cecelia who’s desperately trying to keep the gaming hell running, all while acting the proper lady. When passion sparks how will these two make it work?

Kerrigan Bryne proves once again with this book why she is quickly becoming a popular name in the historical romance genre. She never shies away from writing stories with flawed characters or difficult subject matter. Her world feels real and gritty based in a reality I can understand, not overly polished until any real humanity is gone. This book probably deals with some of her most difficult subject matter to date and is why I felt the need to add content warnings to the start of this review. Don’t let the hard topics scare you away though, this book is so much more than a scary look at the underbelly of Victorian life.

Cecelia is the kind of heroine I want to read in my romance novels, she is real and flawed and still able to find joy in life. She doesn’t need to change in order to attract the attention of a man, in fact, it’s her size and shape that attracts Ramsey to her initially. Her intelligence, wit, and determination are what have the hero and me as the reader falling for Cecelia almost immediately. Cecelia is an educated woman, and more than capable of standing up to the world on her own. She doesn’t need or particularly want a hand out from anyone.

Ramsey was a bit harder to get a handle on. He’s tough as nails and taciturn. He believes in justice and is nearly feral in his need to solve a case involving missing children. In his pursuit of the crime, he meets Cecelia and initially believes her to be a part of the plot. Though he’s suspicious of Cecelia he cannot deny the passion and attraction that makes his blood boil. He’s a man used to being in control but Cecelia makes him come undone, and it’s in these moments of his need for the heroine that Kerrigan shines the most. Kerrigan’s ability to take a flawed man, break him down with passion and love, and build him back up is some of the best writing you will ever read. Not just in romance but best writing, period.

This book is a lot more action-packed than some of her previous offerings and I liked it’s faster pace. There is more violence and gore in this novel which may not be to some reader’s taste, but I think it was appropriate for the subject matter. The relationship building Kerrigan does between Ramsey and Cecelia is wonderfully filled with tension and passion that kept me reading late into the night. I highly recommend this book to any fans of historical romances that aren’t all about the dukes and pretty ladies, for anyone that’s looking for a heroine that reflects real and relatable women, and for anyone that loves a heaping dose of sexy times.

Link will be live on release day.

Cecelia Teague is part of the Red Rogues. She is always the most hopeful, kind and positive. She was always bullied about how smart she was and her weight. She has come into her own. With the help of her benefactor, she had her education paid for. From the school she met Alexandria and Francesca. Mess with one and you mess with them all. Ramsey, half brother to Redmayne, was beginning to learn that. He was also known as Lord Chief Justice or the Vicar of Vice. He was on a mission to bring down the Crimson Council, who traffics in young girls. When their two worlds collide, fire works are ignited. Underneath all that is a virgin and a man who has locked down his sexuality. The spark has been lit and the explosion is amazing. But evil is trying to do them in. Ramsey's is a Scotsman who has no problem protecting what is his. Cecelia is his and now he just has to make her see that he loves her.

I received a copy of this title from the publisher for an honest review - 3.75 stars rounded up to 4. All Scot and Bothered is the second title in the series, but can easily be read as a standalone. All Scot and Bothered features Cecelia, who was raised by a miserly vicar who punished her for what he perceived as the sinful ways of women by denigrating her for both her looks and intelligence in addition to locking her in a cellar. After being rescued by a mysterious benefactor who paid for her education, Cecilia has made a life for herself when she suddenly finds out a previously unknown aunt has died and left her a legacy. She is unprepared to learn that the legacy is a gambling den and includes custody of a young girl; even more shocking is the idea that her aunt's death was not natural but instead caused by a mysterious enemy.

While coming to terms with her inheritance, Cecilia finds herself at odds with her friend's brother-in-law, the remote Cassius Ramsay, the Lord Chief Justice of the High Court. He is determined to put Cecilia's new gaming den out of business and bring down the owner; little does he realize that the woman he has vowed to bring down is one of his sister-in-law's best friends and someone he desires. After an explosive series of events, Cecelia and Cassius find themselves on the run with only each other to rely on. Will they be able to track down the people behind everything before it is to late?

Overall, I enjoyed this book. Like many of Ms. Byrne's titles, Cassius is a bit dark and tortured and it comes through in his protectiveness. I wanted to shake him sometimes with his frustration. I loved Cecilia's determination to see the positive in life despite her past and her caring for those closest to her. I enjoyed the relationship that developed between the two and thought they balanced each other very well. I look forward to the final title in the series to read more about Francesca' and her story..

Great story! I love this new series and love the Red Rogues. 3 friends from school, all female, all redheads. Book 1 eas about Alex. This is book 2 about Cecelia. Book3 will be Francesca.
This story about Cecelia and Ramsay was fast moving, full of action. The back and forth between them was great banter. They stood on opposite sides and then together.
I was so absorbed in the story before I knew it I was at 85% thru the book. I couldn't believe it. Cant wait til Francesca's book.

I’ve loved reading Kerrigan Byrne stories since I first read The Highwayman which was recommended by a blogger. With her Devil You Know series, the premise of three red-haired girls who became best friends during a traumatic time, was intriguing. I loved how they gave each other male nicknames, called themselves the Red Rogues and the first book is a favorite of mine. I would have loved to see more of the Red Rogues together in this book as I love their personalities.

It was such a heartbreaking beginning to the story for Cecilia, who lived with abuse and in such horrid conditions. Thankfully she was saved by an anonymous benefactor and enjoyed an excellent education and a much different life than her childhood. She’s a genius at math and was bullied for being a female, intelligent, and curvy. This attitude towards women hasn’t changed! Even with her traumatic childhood, she’s full of love and caring towards others vs becoming hard-hearted.

Ramsey is the half-brother to Redmayne, Cecilia’s friend Alexandra’s husband. He’s a hard, focused, lonely grump who goes from hot to cold over and over with Cecilia as he thinks he knows who and what she is. He says he wants justice and morality but comes across as somewhat pious. His childhood was beyond harsh and it’s amazing how he made so much of himself although I didn’t quite understand how he had so much money or property in his position.

There is a mystery about missing girls, an intriguing coded book, crimes at the highest level of society, familial questions, friendships, along with a passionate connection.

Towards the end of the story, I was so proud of Cecilia, for standing her ground for what she believed in. No one, male or female, should have to change who they are or what they believe in, to fit in.

I enjoyed the banter between the two and how Ramsey would be so high-handed and Cecilia could make such simple comments and make him reconsider his outlook. At other times, no matter what Cecilia said or did, Ramsey couldn’t help but be overwhelmed with sensual thoughts. The ending seemed to be a bit rushed with so much going on and I was left wanting more. Hopefully the third book in this series about Francesca will include all of the characters and I can see how their lives have changed after finding love. I would love to have a long epilogue!

I did enjoy the fact that Cecilia was described as thick, large, and tall for a more common body type. And the fact that Ramsey thought she was perfect was just so sweet and it made up for the aggravation I felt for him many times in the story! I loved how his mind worked and he fought caring about Cecilia thinking he wasn’t worthy, and yet couldn’t help protecting her at all costs.

Ms. Byrne writes such engaging historical aspects, beautiful descriptions of people and places and strong female characters. She shows the rough and dirty side of life and that many can rise above their traumatic situations.

Thanks to the author, publisher and Netgalley for allowing me to read this new work.

While I really enjoyed this book, it does have a bit of a complicated plot. I was pretty much able to follow but also felt like there are more answers to be had, especially about the Crimson Council. I loved see Cecelia and Ramsay go head to head though.

Cecelia was taught at a young age to not be afraid of what she wants. Her horrible father was trying to break her in the beginning but after Cecelia was rescued, she started on a path of knowledge, friendship and enjoying life itself. I loved seeing a heroine with a curvaceous body type. Cecelia is trying to enjoy life and what it has to offer alongside her friends.

Ramsay is all about his work. He is the Lord Chief Justice and works all day and doesn’t really have a solid family besides his brother, Duke of Redmayne. He doesn’t indulge and doesn’t really enjoy life. Also doesn’t trust women. So when Ramsay and Cecelia butt heads you can see a brewing tension between these opposites. I loved seeing their romance come to life. They are opposites but compliment each other well.

Okay, so, I’m all for a complex plot. I love them but I also felt like there are so unanswered questions. I totally understand the majority of the plot and the secret codex and what Cecelia was trying to decipher but also felt the Crimson Council hasn’t met their end just yet. Maybe more in the next book? I had a feeling of who the “bad guy” was and was wrong so I will say it wasn’t a super predictable story in the end. There were also times when my heart was racing then slower times to give the characters time to breathe. It really wasn’t a bad plot but I’m pretty sure I have some unanswered questions.

I can’t forget to mention Jean-Yves and Phoebe. Jean-Yves has been a long friend and companion to Cecelia. He has been the father she so very much needed. Then there is Phoebe, a new addition to Cecelia’s life. She is an adorable and curious child and I hope we see more of her.

Overall, I’m so excited about Francesca’s book. Can’t wait for her to get her revenge and hopefully a happily ever after.

I received this from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This is book 2 in the devil you know series. In this one we get Cecilia’s story I did enjoy her story a great deal. It was quite in enjoyable looking forward to book 3.

I am loving the Devil You Know series. The women are strong & unique while the men are great matches. Cecilia & Ramsay are not a disappointment. Cecilia has been an outcast most of her life & gotten by with her warmth & kindness despite of it all. She & the Red Rogues are thick as thieves & have a bit of a new adventure in this book. Ramsay is a child that was left behind by his parents that has found his way to a position of status through hard work, determination, & strong belief in right & wrong. To him, there is no gray area until he’s confounded by Cecilia. I highly recommend reading this book, & I can’t wait for the next one.

<i>arc provided by the publisher via netgalley in exchange for an honest review</i>

This was my first book by Kerrigan Byrne and I had a good time with it! I really enjoyed their writing so I will definitely be looking into their other works in the future.

All Scot and Bothered follows Cecilia Teague as she gets handed down this gambling den/School For Young Ladies after her aunt passes away. What she doesn’t realize is that her aunt’s enemies are now her enemies, including the burly Scotsman Lord Ramsay.

Their story was a rollercoaster to put it lightly. They started off not knowing each other to Ramsay not knowing that The Scarlet Lady is also now Cecilia to them becoming unlikely allies to more. I will admit, Ramsay got on my nerves often. He was quick to anger and cruel words and I understand that he had a horrid past but it still was no excuse for how he treated people and Cecilia most of all. I did think their romance was believable by the end and I was rooting for them.

I loved Cecilia. She was a badass but she was also soft and kind and genuinely wanted to help those less fortune because she knew what it was to be lonely and bullied. I loved the way she stood up for herself and didn’t let anyone, not even Ramsay stop her from achieving what she wanted from life. I loved that she was willing to let Ramsay go so that she wasn’t forced to change her life for a man. I also adored Phoebe and that little plot twist!!!! I should’ve seen it coming but I’m glad I didn’t, it was a sweet reveal.

The Red Rogues were amazing and I can’t wait to delve into the other two ladies stories! I loved their friendship and the fact that they would do quite literally anything for each other. I aspire to have friendships that close.

Overall, I had a fun time with this one. It was dark, gritty and full of horrid situations but we also got to see love and what it can do to help lift someone up. The smut was hot and the chemistry was angsty and satisfying.

I definitely recommend this one if you’re into historical romance! Just be aware of the possible triggers that this book contains.
