I have only just recently discovered Noelle Holten as an author. And am I glad I did.

I have fast fallen in love with DC Maggie Jamieson as a character. I love everything she represents in a person. She is strong, loyal and although confident in her police work she shows vulnerability within her private life.

If you read the second book 'Dead Wrong' you will know it ended on a huge cliffhanger. This is the follow up to that and give us the answers that we as readers needed.

I loved the plot line for this book. There were so many twists weaved through the words, that I found my guesses and theories about the peroetrator bouncing around like a pinball machine. I can honestly say, that i didn't figure it out until Maggie did.

I absolutely adore the fact that this book ended on a cliffhanger too. So I cannot wait for book four.

I will be recommending this series to so many people, because if you love crime thrillers, police procedurals then this is the next series that you need to binge! You can thank me later.

This third book in the DC Maggie Jamieson series follows straight on from the last one although it could be read as a standalone.
Maggie is called to the discovery of a body in a local park, to her horror at first glance the victim looks distressingly like her friend and colleague Dr Kate Maloney.
The murder victim is dressed in the style of clothes Kate favours, her hair has been dyed and her eyes and mouth have been sewn shut.
Knowing Kate has been dealing with a stalker Maggie is even more concerned, is she in even more danger now?
When further bodies turn up looking exactly like Kate things really start to get serious.
Who is this killer who silently stalks his victims, watching them, learning their habits until he is ready to strike and turn them into replicas of Kate.
Can Maggie discover his identity before Kate finally becomes the victim he has pursued from the start.
A tense thriller, a bit creepy in parts, a thoroughly enjoyable read.
I shall look forward to number four in the series.

This series just grows on me, a well written book that kept me on the edge of my seat from beginning to the end.

This is the third book in the DC Maggie Jamieson series, and the series just gets better and better. Ms Holten is one of my favorite authors and I can't wait for the next book in the series. Recommended.

Kate is a good friend of DC Maggie Jamieson’s and she’s determined to keep her friend safe from the killer who she believes is the same person who’s been stalking and sending Kate letters and gifts. Maggie is working with DS Nathan Wright and together with the team from the Major and Organised Crime Department at Stafford they throw everything they have at this investigation in an attempt to protect Kate from the man the newspapers have nicknamed ‘The Living Doll Killer’.

‘Dead Perfect’ is the third in the DC Maggie Jameson series and is so hugely exciting that I couldn’t read quickly enough! As soon as I started the first page I could feel the tension building and knew I was going to enjoy this sensational thriller. The story begins from where book two ends and I ‘ve been completely engrossed through all the action, drama, suspense and twists and turns until the final breath-taking pages. I think I’d be right in saying that Ms Holten can’t leave the story there, we need to know what’s going to happen next and I’m waiting for book four with great anticipation.

Boom! Maggie Jamieson is back. This author sure knows how lack a wallop. I’m so grateful I’m getting to read all these authors.

I have been meaning to read this series for awhile and  have finally took the plunge with book 3 in the series. I enjoyed it so much I have already purchased the other two books.

I had no problem reading this as a standalone although there were back stories that have occurred in previous books that were easy enough to follow so didn't hinder my enjoyment. That said I do prefer to read book series in order to maximise my understanding and enjoyment.

I particularly  enjoyed the characters in this novel, the lead character Maggie Jamieson is a no nonsense DC who doesn't suffer fools gladly and the love hate relationship with the female reporter was a big plus.

A good police procedural novel with some very good characters that gives a lot of promise for an entertaining series. I am now looking forward to the other two books in the series.

Dead Perfect by Noelle Holten is the third book in the DC Maggie Jamieson series. It’s starts with Maggie being called to a woman’s body in the local park. When she sees the body, she realises that the killer is not an ordinary one. The bodies eyes have been sewn shut and her clothes and her hair has been dyed black to resemble someone else. The body looks all too familiar to Dr Kate Moloney.
Maggie goes out of her way to protect her friend and colleague by inviting her to stay at her home to protect her until the killer is caught. She also has some feelings towards her but, does not know if she feelings are mutual. When she moves in Maggie feels a bit more at ease until, more bodies turn up and things are getting closer to home.
Thank you NetGalley and Harper Collins One more chapter for a copy of Dead Perfect. The is another good episode in this series but, not my favourite of the three so far. Don’t get me wrong this has a great story line that keeps you tuning the pages and has some great characters but, towards the end I found it a bit unrealistic at times. 3.5 stars from me.

After loving the previous book in this series I was so pleased to be approved for this.
I have mixed feelings about this book. - yes it was an enjoyable read - I didn’t love it and it didn’t wow me though. The story picks up right after the end of book 2 and focuses on Dr Moloney's stalker and two murders when the victims appear to look very similar to her. I didn’t like the main character as much here, she irritated me at times and I felt her attitude and actions towards her work colleagues and the investigation were not always believable. The book did hold my attention from start to finish, although it left me feeling as if I hoped for a bit more from it. I love the authors cliffhanger endings to her books, which always set the next book up nicely and I’d like to read the next book in the series to see how the main character develops. 3.5 stars

I really enjoyed this well plotted book. The main thing I liked about it though, is the realistic dialogues and relationships that Maggie has. She seems so real; a little bit ‘gobby’, a little bit Impulsive and a huge character. I will definitely be reading more of these.

I really enjoyed this book and will give it a huge thumbs up. With a great story line and excellent main characters - I would highly recommend this book.

After reading the synopsis of Dead Perfect, I requested this ARC since it seemed to be a crime fiction with a strong and promising plot. It started off great and intense especially when the body of an unidentified female was discovered in a park.

Unfortunately, as the story progresses, I lost my interest. The lackluster writing with choppy dialogues did not work for me. I was not aware that this book is part of a series. In a way, I did not feel that it could be read as a stand alone novel. There were not a lot of backstories or references to the last book made in this one. Hence, I was somewhat lost without the proper context. I just was not able to connect with any of the characters at all. Moreover, I knew who the perp was early in the book.

In a nutshell, this book wasn't for me.

This was a good read, the twist were good and kept you guessing. Would not have thought it was who it was.

This was a fun read. Well written. Held my interest. Just an enjoyable read overall.

I would recommend this book to my friends and family for sure!

I didn't enjoy much about this novel. Some of the ARCs I receive have formatting issues which I overlook but this went beyond that.

The Good:

The cover is awesome. 
You don't have to read any of the other books in the series to pick up on the characters, relationships, or the plot.
References to the last book were minimal.
The ending leaves an opening for fans to have another book in the DC Maggie Jamieson series.
I wasn't able to identify who the serial killer was but I was able to mark off all of the suspects as they were presented.
Some of the chapters were of the serial killers actions and some were of the potential victim and main investigator.

The Bad:

The pacing was off. It was really slow until the end.
There was a lot of telling and not showing.
Dialogue could be stilted and awkward at times.

I received this book in May and it's not set to be published until October. There's probably another ARC copy floating around that's gone through another round or two of edits.

Another solid book in the series from Noelle Holten. I had been looking forward to reading this one because book two ended in such a way that the reader was left wanting more. Dead Perfect is another great crime/thriller/procedural. The characters are well thought out, and they all seem to bounce well off each other. The story was fast paced too. Definitely recommended! If I’m completely honest, I guessed early on and was proven right at the resolution. But I read so many of these books that it tends to happen more often than not that it’s possible to pick up on these things. I think maybe 3.5 but rounded up to 4 because the books get stronger with each outing!

It starts where book 2 finished regarding Kate’s stalker.
I do think Maggie lets too much of her personal feelings/circumstances get in the way of the investigation. She goes on instinct but seems a bit too impulsive and I think this clouds her judgement.
Maggie is attracted to her friend and colleague with a serious crush on Kate, and seems childishly disappointed when Kate says she isn’t gay. I think there was a conflict of interest and she should’ve been pulled from the investigation, although the story wouldn't have gone the same way if that happened!
I did think I’d guessed the killer quite early on and I was correct.
A good read overall although I did prefer book 1 and 2. I am looking forward to following Maggie in book 4.

I really don't know what to write about this book. Just buy it doesn't seem enough. Firstly I really was looking forward to reading this book, I have read the authors first two books and loved them. So when I got the chance to read this I was foaming at the mouth to start it.
I did think maybe the author had put to much into the first two books and there was no way she could top those. How wrong was I!
Noelle has delivered again. Being a book blogger, working in publishing and being an avid reader must really add to the authors writing as she just knows what her readers want.
Something Gripping, addictive, chilling yet believable and it's all delivered here. Brilliant and believable characters and I have to say there was a character that appeared in this book that was also in book one and it's good to see her making something of her life.
When the body of a young lady is found DC Maggie Jamieson has a terrible time, she's believing it's someone she knows. She's so grateful when she finds its not her friend Dr Kate Moloney.
It seems the killer has dressed the victim to look like Kate. How sick is that, this shows what sort of monster they are dealing with.
​At the beginning of this book it's almost like Maggie is taking Kates stalker more serieously that Kate is. It isn't really to long before Kate seems to grasp how serious the matter is.
​I love a book that keeps you second guessing and keeps you on your toes the whole way through.


It's dark and creepy in parts which makes it 'Dead Perfect' I'm loving this authors twisted mind.

Book 3 in the series from the brilliant Noelle Holten. This one is very chilling as Kate’s stalker makes his move. A great read, filled with emotion & suspense. The characters are solidly written and believable. Looking forward to the next book
