I received an arc of this title from NetGalley for an honest review. A story told from the point of view of the bed and his little kid who doesn't always treat him well. Funny with many lol moments.
This book is so sweet and imaginative. I love when kid’s books are witty and take on a tired topic (bedtime stories), but in a new and fresh way. I can see this book being read before bed in many homes over the years! Highly recommend.
This was adorable. I think this will be a good book to read as my child gets older and it becomes more relevant. Although she is not a bedtime fan currently. I would buy this to add to our collection.
A very cute story told from the perspective of the bed of a child and all it puts up with (having stickers put on it, getting bounced on, kicked, smelly things living under it, exc...) in a day. Whimsical illustrations and a funny and relatable story makes for a great book to share with young readers.
This is such a creative and unique children's story! It is a silly and funny story that kids can really connect to. I read it with my daughters and they loved it!
What a great story to reverse psych kids on bed time! While I enjoyed it, my son didn't as much. The pictures were great and it is well written.
My 8-year-old and I laughed out loud as we read Time for Bed's Story. Such a great read that teaches both compassion and respect of not only others but also one's things. I'm not sure about you, but my kids definitely need to learn to look after their rooms better. And what better way then through the eyes of their bed, the least appreciated thing in their rooms!
Time for Bed's Story
by Monica Arnaldo
Back of the book: “In this engaging, laugh-out-loud funny picture book, a child's bed tells it like it is. Bed has something to say. Bed knows you do not like bedtime. And Bed gets it. But look ... YOU are not so great, either ... Bed is fed up. Bed's patience is wearing thin. For years, Bed has put up with the kicking at night, the jumping during the day, not to mention the storing of all manner of stinky items. But enough is enough. Now it's time to consider Bed's feelings ... In a story that's never been told before, Monica Arnaldo's hilarious picture book explores the point of view of an unusual narrator: a child's bed. Irreverent and full of personality, Arnaldo's Bed is also full of love and compassion, making for a relatable and, ultimately, endearing story. This playful and highly original book offers a lighthearted way to approach discussions on communication, perspective, and viewpoint. It can be used to promote critical thinking in young children and an understanding that there are at least two sides to every story. It also contains character education lessons on compassion, respect, and empathy.”
Impressions: This was a cute book but lacking a real point. It told the two sides of a story but my kids missed the point and I did too.
Liked: I think the idea of a bed telling a story about life is fun.
Disliked: I wish the book had a clearer lesson or point.
Learned: Beds have feelings too 😊

I received a copy of this book via NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.
This book is absolutely adorable!! I can't wait to use it during storytime! Parents, this book is the perfect going to bed book for the 4 and up crowd!
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an electronic copy to read and review.
This book was hilarious! I can't wait to have a physical copy for my classroom and to read to my own children. It is a cute story about how Bed feels about you and about bedtime. It is such a funny book to read to young kids.
As a teacher, I can see using this text as an example of writing from a different perspective.
A sweet and playful look at the life of a young boy as told by his bed. Through thick and thin, the two share a unique (and ultimately loving) relationship.
As a parent of a small child who is always making excuses not to go to bed, I saw him easily within these pages. Bed presents as his own character here and tells of his hurt feelings when his child refuses to go to bed at night. He shares his struggles - kicking and stickers and stolen blankets, to name a few - and tries to convince his kid to be happy to come to bed. Cute artwork throughout and a sweet lesson.
Bed Has Quite the Tale to Tell
This is a fun story told from the perspective of a child’s bed! Bed is a little upset and figures the child is old enough to reason with now. Bed goes on to detail all the abuse that it takes during the night and day as well as that the child doesn't want to even go to bed at bedtime. For a piece of furniture, Bed's features are very expressive. If you have a child who is having a hard time settling down and going to bed (or perhaps jumps on the bed or in any other way does destructive things to it), this book might help open up a conversation. It's also just a funny book. So if your child appreciates humor, he or she may appreciate even if they don't need any sort of a “bed” lesson.
This story is such a delight. One of my favorite picture books of the year so far. It's told from the perspective of the bed, which is such a fun twist. The illustrations are whimsical and really fun. It gave me a lot of nostalgia to books from my childhood. The story is engaging and really funny, and I think my students would absolutely love it! This is a title that I'll be recommending to families and friends for years to come.
Omg!!!
This is so cute!
So real!
So amazing!
I would love to read this little storybook about what our beds say to us again and again!
This has so cleverly done with amazing illustrations and simple lines. Nothing is overdone or underdone. It's just the right balance I would say.
Loved it.
Thanks #NetGalley for the ARC.
I liked this book. It had nice illustrations and would be good for teaching children about different perspectives. I would use this book in my classroom and at home. It would make a good bedtime story.
A short and colourful, cute story about bedtime for children. I disliked the page on which the kid is being called 'not so great either' and think the point could have been brought across differently as well, but all in all it's a sweet read that will resonate with parents and children.
We thought this book was clever. Told from the perspective of the bed, about how the kid makes bed's night time experience difficult. It's amusing and written in a way that makes my kiddo giggle. I like the perspective change.
A book narrated by the bed, which complains that no one cares about it. And then it lists some things that do it, and suggests changes.
Very funny!
This was adorable!!!!
Bed has something to say. Bed would like it if you were more appreciative of them. Because first you kick in your sleep, then you drool, then you steal all of the blankets. So maybe we could get along better? Maybe?
This book was absolutely adorable. I adored the art style and the facial expressions on the Bed. I also really appreciated that the child was drawn in such a way that we aren't sure if the child is male or female, because it doesn't matter. The child plays with dinosaurs and dolls, and has stickers on their bed that are hearts, flowers, rainbows, and dinosaurs.
I think that this would be really funny for a storytime with kids. I can just imagine them all laughing about the child kicking in their sleep or stealing the blankets. I would definitely recommend for children ages 4-8.
