Ever wonder what your bed is thinking? Well, Time For Bed's Story by Monica Arnaldo gives a voice to the inanimate object that we sleep on every night. The art style is adorable! It reminds me of something you'd see from Pixar, the characters and the expressions are on point. The story is really cute as well, it's just a quick run down of all the things our bed has to endure.

The cutest part was when the bed said it got cold because we hog the covers. So sweet. This is really well done and thought out. I'd pick it up as a gift if I knew someone with young children.

I received a copy of this book from netgalley in exchange for an honest review. As someone who personally knows how tough bedtime can be for a parent and a child, it is refreshing to see it from beds point of view. Funny and witty with and ending that will endear this quick read to its young readers. Would recommend for anyone that struggles with their kids at bedtime and wants a different approach to a bed time story.

This was adorable. My kids LOVED it. Such a cute idea. It didn’t have too many words per page which makes it a fun, quick read. The pictures were colorful and darling.

What a great idea for a story... bedtime from the bed's perspective! The story is fun and entertaining and the illustrations were bright and engaging. I only wish that "Bed" didn't narrate the story from the third person perspective. It made reading a little clunky for me, but my sons still loved the story and I enjoyed it as well.

4.5 star

adorable! My daughter loved this book, and it's a great way to anthropomorphize something for an empathy lesson. Really cute, and will pass along the title to our school principal. she will get a kick out of it.

As a youth services library assistant, I love good read aloud books and this one is hilarious. I like to do Miss Jess' Seriously Silly Storytimes and share funny books and songs that parents, just as much as the kids, enjoy. I talk about how picture books can be forms of self care for adults too - whether they are old favorites that bring back thoughts of comfort, or they simply allow us to process our emotions like full, flawed, real people. Bedtime stories are always popular and this one has a delightful and not seen before twist told from the bed's perspective. Love the illustrations, I laughed right away at the cover.

Oh, you struggle with bedtime too? Your child enjoys jumping on the bed or leaving food around? Have no fear, Bed is here to tell it like it is.

Time For Bed’s Story is about the bed and all the inconveniences and ways it’s been mistreated. At first, I felt the tone was more accusatory than explaining the issues. But, the more I read it, the more I understood! I did appreciate how kind they asked for it to not happen again.

I read this to our 4 year old, and she apologized to her bed. I say this is a success!

Bed has something to say.

What drew me to this book was the illustration on the cover. I fell in love with the artist's style, and reading the book made it even stronger. I am sure I'll look up what else Monica Arnaldo did.
Also, I somehow enjoy stories by household objects. It's an interesting perspective I feel drawn too.

It's a short message with a sweet ending.

Very cute book! I read this with my third grader and kindergartner and we all had laughs. I wish the book was longer! Great concept of what does the bed think. What is it like for the bed with you sleeping in it.
Highly recommend.

Great book, not only for children but also for me and for those who don't know me, I am 20 years old. It was so funny and interesting to listen to my bed once instead of talking to it.

While browsing Netgalley books I came across this book and thought my Godson would love it! He is 4 years old and Autistic.I facetimed my friend and asked her would he like to hear a story and of course the answer was a very excited yes! Needless to say he loved this book and thought it was hilarious! What's not to love about a talking bed?! I would definitely recommend this book to any little boys (and girls) who love nothing better than to stall bedtime. It gets a big thumbs up from my Godson too. Win win!

I found this book cute and fun to read. I ran it through the ultimate test: reading it to a child. She laughed, she smiled, and she talked back to the bed. She told me she gives it a 9/10.
Creatively written and wonderfully unique.

Cute illustrations! It was humorous as an adult to read about bedtime from a bed's perspective.

This book is a story about a child who isn't a fan of bedtime, but the bed decides to let the child know what it thinks of bedtime. Bed does not like the stinky shoes under the bed, or the kicking/jumping that happens on the bed, etc. But in the end, they realize their special relationship.

This book develops the feelings of empathy and kindness in children.

Think about how others feel after the way you treat them

So, you don't like bedtime? Well, you're no breath of fresh air, either! This cute picture book is the perfect bedtime story for children who postpone sleep as long as possible. The illustrations are very cute.

What a treat, this is an unique take on a bedtime story as it’s the POV from a bed! It’s funny and an easy read perfect for my toddlers. They enjoyed it! Thanks to Kids Can Press, NetGalley, and Monica Arnaldo for an ARC. This is my honest review.

A cute read aloud looking at bedtime from bed's point of view. It could be used as a bedtime story, or in the classroom as an example of point of view/perspective.

A funny picture book about a timeless childhood experience, with a fresh twist.

The prose in this story is unique, entertaining, and lively. The unique POV focused on a personified bed, makes this stand out among many stories about the challenges of bedtime. The illustrations serve the story well, even offering a bit of a graphic novel style imagery. The book does seem to just cut off at the end, without much resolution in the way of text, though the images try to fill in a bit.

Overall, this book offers lots of opportunities for laughter, creative reading, and mirrors for a child.
