This series makes me so happy and want to pack my bags for Alaska. Lana is a fierce businesswoman who puts up a brave front that masquerades her loneliness and the challenges of her family business. She meets her match in Rick, the pool hall owner who secretly pines for her and is willing to help her save their small Alaskan town from the moose trying to destroy the holiday cheer. Rick can’t help but taking care of those around him, including Lana. Their mutual crushes are sweet and they are quickly able to see beyond one another’s facade.

I LOVE the animal characters in these books and Morgenthaler has me cracking up reading about each one of them. We get returning appearances from Jake, the best dressed blind border collie, but also meet Darla, a well-dressed (and furnished) hedgehog, Roger the upside-down grumpy cat, a Christmas-hating moose, and a whole village of taxidermy squirrels.

If you’re a fan of Hallmark movies that warm your heart then pick up Mistletoe and Mr. Right which is out today!

Mistletoe and Mr. Right follows businesswoman and socialite Lana after her big business announcement at the end of The Tourist Attraction. The residents of Moose Springs aren’t happy with her - they don’t want the town to change, and don't appreciate her trying to change it, even if she’s trying to save it. Except for local pool hall owner Rick - he may not want the town to change, but he sure does want Lana. Lana’s determined to prove herself to the town and since it’s Christmas, what better way to than to catch the mischievous Santa Moose? Hilarity, hijinx, and romance ensue as Lana and Rick find a new way to belong in Moose Springs - together.🎅🏼

Here are a few of the things I loved about this book:
-It was utterly delightful! The characters are interesting and perfectly quirky and I was completely engrossed in this charming story
-It was hilarious! Mistletoe and Mr. Right features maybe the most hysterical (and terrifying?) first date I’ve ever read. And the Santa Moose? Morgenthaler’s imagination is genius!
-Moose Springs springs to life off the page! Morgenthaler makes it so vivid, I wanted to hop on the next flight to Alaska!
-The romance was so adorable to watch blossom, only troubled by real, relatable human problems that had me cheering them on all the more!
-It's set at Christmas! It was festive and fun and what better setting for a snowy Alaskan romance?

I ADORED this book! The Moose Springs series has definitely become one of my favorites of all time, that I know I'll reread again and again. Thanks to Sourcebooks Casablanca & NetGalley for the eARC in exchange for my honest review.

🌟🌟🌟 3/5 stars

This was a cute Christmas story that is great for the holiday season. Mistletoe and Mr. Right is about Lana Montgomery, a rich socialite who works for the Montgomery Group. Lana wants to build luxury condominiums in Moose Springs, a small Alaska town and her favorite place on earth. Unfortunately the people of Moose Springs are against the building of her condos. Rick Harding, the pool hall owner in town, has always had a crush on Lana. As Rick and Lana grow closer, Lana tries to find ways to change the town’s perception of her, as well as convince her family to approve of her investments in Moose Springs.

I did not read the first book in the series, The Tourist Attraction, and I could see myself really loving that book based on that couple’s interactions in this book. Mistletoe and Mr. Right was a cute story, but I did want a little bit more chemistry from the lead couple. They were both great characters, but I wasn’t invested in their romance. I feel I would have enjoyed the book as a whole more if I had read the first book, so I highly recommend starting with The Tourist Attraction before reading this one.

Overall, Mistletoe and Mr. Right is a sweet Christmas story with plenty of holiday cheer and hijinks.

This is such a cute book, especially for Christmas time. I loved the humor and chemistry between Lana and Rick. You could sense their attraction to each other while reading.

Though this book wasn't heavily focused on the steamy part of romamce, you still saw the love between the characters. This book had a much more serious tone and theme about loving yourself and finding a place in which you feel comfortable with yourself.

Lana is one of the most hardworking characters I've ever read from. She has privilege, but she does not shove that privilege down people's throats. She uses her wealth and resources to help others and to save the town that she loves the most, even if the town's people don't care for her.

Rick is a man of loyalty and sweetness. I enjoyed his character's shyness, but also protective demeanor. But he had to do something stupid at the end to almost ruined his relationship with Lana. That was my only true negative about this book.

This book is about hope, love, friendship and trust. Absolutely adored this book and cannot wait to read the next book in the series!

Penis snow art and moose who hate Christmas decor kick off this delightful romance. Rick and Lana are both such lovely and lonely people. They are attracted to each other btu Lana works for her family’s billion-dollar multinational corporation and never stays in one place - though that’s what she wants most, to have a home - and Rick is a lifer in his small Alaskan town.
What stood out in this romance is how vulnerable they are willing to be with each other. Rick really struggled with his divorce and how it affected his self-worth and Lana is used to hiding her feelings as in her family, you don’t show fear. The drama is external, they fall in love in the meantime.
Ulysses isn’t back from the first book, this is a new moose who returns each year to destroy all Christmas lawn decor in town. Lana volunteers to find them and tranquillize them (despite having no experience with this) as part of her campaign to get the town to like her. Various funny events occur throughout the book. I read it all in one sitting. Mistletoe and Mr. Right will delight contemporary romance readers.

I loved this book and returning to Moose Springs, Alaska! In the installment of the series we get to follow Lana, who has bought up the town, is her love story. I love the characters and falling in love with them and getting glimpses of old favorites from the first book. And Santa Moose is great!

Another home run by Sarah! This was so adorable. I was worried that it wouldn't live up to Zoey and Graham but honestly, I didn't even think about The Tourist Attraction. Lana and Rick were lovely and Santa Moose was kind of hilarious! Can't wait to see what happens with Easton!

Ugh this book. I could not get on board with this couple. They had no chemistry and I simply couldn’t buy Rick as a leading man. I wanted to love this book but I just didn’t care about them or their HEA. I did of course love the squirrel taxidermy, moose antics, and the return of Zoey and Graham.⁣

I really really enjoyed and loved book 1 so I don't know if I set too high of expectations but this was just a like. The banter with the leads Rick and Lana who we meet in Book 1 wasn't as good. We still get crazy moose aka Santa Moose who hates Holiday decorations. We also get the side characters and just a bit of Jake aka the cutest dog ever.
Maybe it's because Lana I can't relate too. It got too into the weeds of selling the condos and town business, but yeah its still good! Just not book 1 wonderful. I can't wait for book 3 and more of Sarah's writing!

overall, 3.5 stars!

I expected a perfect winter cosy story, one to cuddle up with and just cry over because it gives you that perfect feeling. But instead I got a mainstream romance novel that happened to be set during winter. I was sorely disappointed, and sadly I was unable to connect with any of the characters, nor did I enjoy the plot.

We all know how I feel about books set in Alaska. 😂 This was a fun second book in a series, with some laugh out loud antics that kept me flipping the pages. I'm excited to see more from this series and this author.

I have to say when I was asked to read the second book in the Moose Springs, Alaska series I was hesitant. I wasn't a big fan of book one and I wasn't sure I was interested in reading a second book.

Lana has loved Moose Springs since she was a child, but she's never fit in. After she bought the town to save it her popularity has sunk to an all-time low. Now she's juggling trying to keep the financial safety of the town with trying to catch a feisty reindeer.

Rick has had a thing for Lana for a while now, but after his divorce a couple of years ago he doesn't want to put himself out there. However, more and more he's finding time to spend with her, and learning her sunny and cheery demeanor is a facade for loneliness.

Rick and Lana were so cute together. I loved it. I was happy that Lana got a happy ending after she got her best friends together. It was nice to finally see behind the cheery party girl exterior.

I did have an issue with this story being such a slow build and then cutting off in the end with no resolution.

I enjoyed Mistletoe & Mr. Right a lot more than book one. I enjoyed the characters and seeing how Moose Springs was doing. If you enjoyed book one, I think you'll definitely enjoy book two, although I think you should wait until the holidays to read it.

Mistletoe and Mr. Right by Sarah Morgenthaler takes on the perspective of Zoey’s ever-loyal best friend, Lana. There were some challenges to get up to speed with references from the previous book, such as the relationship dynamics between characters and the background story on how Lana came into power with taking over most of Moose Springs businesses. And so, it took me a bit longer to connect with the story than normally.

However, I loved that this romance story took us into a relationship between Lana and Rick and how their relationship progressed, rather than the typical romance story about the lead up to how the couple finally got together. I like to see the uncertainty that comes sometimes with new relationships or the challenges when one of the couple’s friends or family do not support the match because that made their relationship more realistic, which then helps me further connect with the characters.

I like the humour that the author infused throughout the story; keeping it light when deep topics were touched upon. On the other hand, when Lana’s cousin was in that accident, it also provided a necessary depth that redeemed the story for me.

So lovely to return to the the town of Moose Springs, Alaska with both its inhabitants and visitors. We were introduced to Lana, the rich socialite, in the previous book. She is delightful and nothing like your assumptions of a socialite. Than there is local Rick, who’s had a tough few years. Rick has always felt as if Lana is his dream girl. This is what I consider the perfect holiday romance. There are fascinating characters and a lovely romance. This book has laugh out loud moments as well as fulfilling emotional scenes. I love reading books about small town and all the quirky characters and their interactions. I cannot wait until I can return to Moose Springs for the next story.

Love the premise, love the characters, like the humour, but find the writing style really tough to get swept away by. I liked it more than the first book - because the hero isn't an alphahole and I understood why he and the heroine together, but it didn't follow through on the promise of the opening and some snatches of snappy dialogue just weren't enough. And it still hasn't resolved some of Lana's issues, so I wasn't 100% onboard with the happily ever after. I know there's a third book in the series coming, but I don't know how you sort out the resort issue more properly in a book that's not about Lana. Fine, but doesn't live up to its potential.

Coming off of the Tourist Attraction (Moose Springs Alaska 1), I had high hopes for Mistletoe and Mr. Right

My love for the quirky characters in this entire series has grown exponentially. They are all heartwarming, a bit eccentric and truly care about their town. It is so heartwarming. Lana and Rick are perfect for each other. They balance each other really well. I laughed a lot with the constant banter. My favorite scene is most likely he B&B squirrelly scene. My goodness - that was equally creepy and hysterical.

However, I can only give this book three stars for a few reasons. The first is that I expected more from Lana. She is a powerhouse in the first book. She is driven and focus and super strong. And yet, in Mistletoe and Mr. Right she felt flat. I only got a few glimpses of the fierce Lana I was expecting. Most of the time she is a bit ho hum.

Additionally, Rick came off as a little shallow. If I had to read how pretty Rick thinks Lana is one more time, I was going to make a drinking game of it. I get it. She's gorgeous. Rick is enamored with her beauty so much so that he repeats it over and over and over again. It feels like that is the only thing important to him. And it isn't. He falls for Lana for so many other reasons. Why the excessive need to write it?

I would have also liked a bit more with the ending. It didn't feel resolved but in order to stay spoiler free, I have to leave it at that.

Would I recommend this book to others? Yes. It's a cute Christmas book. It is a fast read with a Hallmark movie feel and I will most definitely read the next book in the series.

Fall is my favorite season. Cute Christmas romance novels are the best. Combine the two.... perfection. Mistletoe & Mr. Right is the sequel to The Tourist Attraction (which is soooo good!!!), so I was stoked when @netgalley let me read it early. I loved this book, just like the first. The characters, the town, THE PETS. It all just made my heart feel warm and fuzzy.

This time we are back in Moose Springs but focused on Lana, the sexy millionaire heiress, and Rick, the lonely local pool hall owner. I loved Lana is the first book so I was excited for her story. Lana just bought the whole town and has to deal with winning over the townsfolk. Rick has been divorced for a few years and is stumbling, trying to raise his orphaned nephew alone. These two are total opposites but also really similar. Much like the first book, they keep finding themselves in ridiculous, but hilarious, situations. Their love was a slow burn and all of the issues they needed to overcome from their pasts made for such a great read. Sarah Morgenthaler is a rockstar.

Perhaps it's the former Alaskan resident in me but oh man did my heart need this book.

This page turner induced a great respite from my previous slump. I love a good holiday book and this one brought it.

There were a few things I struggled through, and it wasnt perfect....(slowest burn EVER) but overall this was a fantastic addition to the Moose Springs Series.

Thank you Sourcebooks Casablanca and Netgalley for the advanced copy in exchange for my honest opinion.

Mistletoe and Mr Right, the second book in Moose Springs, Alaska series is a cute and very sweet romance. All our favourites are back, but this is firmly Lana and Rick’s story. We’ve got two lonely people (who are surrounded by others) who eventually find happiness with each other.

Lana Montgomery is the developer who has loved Moose Springs ever since she vacationed there as a child. She has a luxury condominium project planned to bring wealthy people investing in the town, but most of the locals oppose this plan.

Rick Harding is the owner of the pool hall in town. He’s divorced and is responsible for his ex’s surly teenage nephew (Diego) who lives with him. Rick is steady, dependable and a private kind of guy. He’s really sweet, but out of practice and awkward with Lana because he is interested in her.

These two run in very different circles, but deep down they’re lonely and unsure about their futures. Lana seemingly has it all but she has none of what she wants which is a home and a family and a life with someone. She thinks Rick and Moose Springs could be that for her but Rick thinks Lana deserves more than he could ever give her...

Sarah Morgenthaler’s Mistletoe and Mr. Right is her second rom com set in Moose Springs, Alaska, a small town with a fancy resort, plenty of quirky locals, and some personality-filled moose. Book one told the story of Graham, the grumpy owner of The Tourist Trap, and Zoey, the sweet tourist who dreamed of visiting Alaska one day. In book two, Morgenthaler shares the story of Zoey’s glamorous friend Lana who has been buying up property in the town in an effort to save it. Unfortunately, the locals don’t see it that way . . .

One of those locals is Rick, owner of the pool hall and divorce who has never quite gotten over his wife leaving him. He lives with her nephew Diego, a super-grumpy cat, and a sweet hedgehog. And he has a crush on Lana, who he knows is WAY out of his league.

Morgenthaler has a perfect touch for this type of rom com: she’s nailed both the humor and the sweetness of this new relationship between two people who seem mismatched but are, at heart, both just really lonely. I appreciate her nuanced portrayal of Lana, who is definitely controlled in part by her money and obligation to the family business but is in no way a victim—she’s not looking for an escape, and her parents aren’t abusive, but she does need something more than business.

Rick, though shy, is still confident, and his affection for his friends and family and pets and neighbor . . . well, his loyalty is remarkable and was something I loved in the book.

In just two books, Morgenthaler has made quite a mark for rom-com readers, and I can’t wait to get my hands on her next book! If you haven’t visited Moose Springs, Alaska, yet, now is the time to start!
