The premise of Mistletoe and Mr. Right sounded good so I requested it for review. I didn’t read the first book in this series and maybe that might have made an impact on my enjoyment of this book, but I don’t think so. What I loved was the quirkiness in this story, what I didn’t love the heroine’s overuse of the word dearest (seriously made me want to barf and eye roll at the same time), and the fact this couple had ZERO chemistry.
There’s no doubt Lana was a strong heroine in charge of a huge project important to the town of Moose Springs. Rick is a quiet, beta type hero, dependable and nice. I just didn’t feel anything between them
There were a lot of fun, quirky moments; hello penis sculpture, crazy taxidermy squirrels, and a dart accident caused by eggnog, but the book didn’t hold my interest and I struggled to finish it.
While this book didn’t work for me, the town and the residents did so I will definitely check out the next book in this series and have plans to read the book I missed.

Mistletoe and Mr. Right is the second book in the Moose Springs series.
I really enjoyed The Tourist Attraction and it made me fall in love with the small town.

I thought the second book was okay. I didn’t love it. Sadly I didn’t love the main characters and that made the book drag for me.
I also never realized how much I apparently hate the term dearest until I read this book 😅

I love romcoms but I definitely need chemistry between couples for it to be a good one.

Overall it was a cute read and I definitely plan to continue reading the rest of the books. I’m looking forward to Enjoy The View.

Thanks to Sourcebooks Casablanca and netgalley for the early copy of this book.

The 2nd book in The Moose Springs series is a Christmas romance set in the small Alaskan town. It's full of funny hijinks and mishaps, that includes some squirrel taxidermy, a moose that is terrorizing the town and alcohol caused tranquilizer dart accident.

Lana is a rich business woman who has fallen in love with the town of Moose Springs. She loves the town so much that she wants to share its charm with others. With help from her family's business, Lana plans to build luxury condos that feel like a resort, overlooking the beautiful Alaskan landscape. Sounds amazing, right? Well, not to everyone. Not to the town of Moose Springs. Not only are the town's residents against the condos being built, they are against Lana.

Desperate to win over the town. Lana declares that she will find and stop the menace that has been wreaking havoc on the town for so long, Santa Moose. The elusive moose has been the bane of the town's existence for many Christmases.

Along with the hope of gaining the residents' approval/love, Lana also sets her sights on Rick. The shy, handsome, local pool hall owner. It should be a match made in rom-com heaven, but it wasn’t. The relationship was stiff. Every interaction between the two was supposed to be sweet and endearing, but I just found it awkward and lacking. The two lacked chemistry.

For the most part it was a very PG romance novel. Definitely has a Hallmark movie feel to it. Especially the “intimate” moments. I am not a fan of the fade away or … (dot, dot, dot,) when it comes to sex in romance novels. It doesn’t have to be extremely graphic with the descriptions, but what is a romance novel without a little bit of smut?

While it didn’t hit the mark for me, overall it is a sweet, goofy, Christmas romance.

Thank you NetGalley and SOURCEBOOKS Casablanca for gifting me this E-ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Welcome back to Moose Springs, everybody! We've got creepy taxidermized squirrel B&B's, giant penises carved out of snow, Moose that rival the Grinch Who Stole Christmas in lack of holiday spirit, and one evil overload who maybe has the hots for the handsome pool hall owner...

In the sequel to the wonderfully quirky yet romantic The Tourist Attraction, we're privy to Lana's love story. Lana was one of my favorite characters from The Tourist Attraction (I may of even shipped her and Graham a little--don't hate me!), so I was EXTREMELY excited for her to get her own book. She's the #girlboss I aspire to be, ruling the world one tiny Alaskan town at a time. But it gets difficult, mixing business with pleasure. Lana's got her eye on a place she can call home and maybe a sexy divorcé she can make a home with, but when her Moose Springs condos project seems to be stalling and the town's dislike of her is more potent than ever, what will she do?

I LOVED this book. I know I've been seeing a lot of mixed reviews, and I think it's just people comparing it to the excellent original in the series. Mistletoe and Mr. Right definitely is as quirky as the first book, and the banter isn't quite as strong, but the loveable characters, exciting plot, and same old Moose Springs antics kept me hooked until the end! And Lana is a goddess we do not deserve. We get the conclusion to a happy love story, but there's still enough unfinished business in the town that I am SO ready for a book three ...or four? This is a great read all year 'round, but especially in the holiday season!

I love these characters , Lana is a confident strong female and Rick is lovable softie!! Moose Springs continue to be a quirky Alaskan town that I really wish was real. I don't know if it is just me but every time I read a book set in Alaska it seems as if Alaska is its own character.
Good easy read that made my heart happy! can't wait to continue in this series.

Lana Montgomery is the fancy shmancy investor who finds Moose Springs as a great opportunity to set up her family business’ condominiums. Despite her efforts to be a part of the community, the townsfolk still despise her. So, in an effort to win them over, she volunteers to capture the Santa Moose, who apparently eats holiday decorations. On this journey, what other parts of herself does she come to realize?

OKAY. It was OKAY. So I loved The Tourist Attraction. The banter between Graham and Zoey were just so fun. Lana and Rick though... I just felt meh about their coupledom. Loved being back in Moose Springs, seeing a lot of the same characters, and the fun element of hunting the Santa Moose who stole Christmas. But, it just fell a little short for me. I liked Lana’s determination, her path to finding love, but her overuse of “dearest” wasn’t for me, lol and paired with Rick? I wasn’t that convinced. Overall, still a cute and light read to cozy up with this holiday season!

Thank you SOURCEBOOKS Casablanca for allowing me the opportunity to read an e-ARC of Mistletoe and Mr. Right!!

There are few things that make me happier than Christmas time!! This book was such a fun one and is perfect as we head into the holiday season.

This Christmas romance is the second book in the Moose Springs, Alaska series, although it can be read as a stand alone. I did not read the first book.

Set in Alaska, which I mean come on, is the perfect Christmas backdrop! The story follows Lana Montgomery, a rich socialite who is not the most popular in the small town of Moose Springs. However, she is determined to prove that she belongs and is taking it upon herself this Christmas season to hunt down the towns biggest Grinch of all, Santa Moose. A big hairy Moose best known for destroying all of the towns Christmas decorations.

Enter Rick Harding, who has had a crush on Lana for longer than he cares to admit and has had a tough go of it recently. After being tranquilized by a dart meant for Santa Moose, he realizes Lana needs help on this mission and this might finally be his chance to catch her eye.

So I will say, this is one of the few books that had me truly hooked at the first sentence!! Like seriously, maybe one of the best first sentences ever (you'll have to read the book and let me know what you think)! From there though it is such a light hearted, funny, and heart warming read. This book will truly make you smile and if it can't put you in the holiday spirits, you and Santa Moose belong together.

This book comes out on 10/6 and should absolutely be part of your holiday TBR!!

Rick is a shy Moose Springs native; he’s the owner of the local pool hall but doesn’t talk much. Lana is a top level exec of a multi billion dollar real estate firm. She wants to do a project in Moose Springs but the townspeople want no truck with the project nor with her. Can there be true love between small town and jet setter?
This is a sweet Christmas tale. The characters are charming and delightful. It is an adorable read. There are no graphic sex scenes so it can be recommended to many. It can be read as a standalone though readers will prefer to read the series

This book gave me all the Christmas feels in the middle of summer in the midst of a pandemic and I loved it. I loved how cute this book was - I was hooked from the first sentence! This book was also hilarious. I don’t “laugh out loud” too often while reading, but this book had me giggling the whole way through. The romance was sweet, it was genuine, and it just made me smile. I love this series so much and cannot wait for more from Sarah Morgenthaler!

I wanted to like Mistletoe and Mr. Right but it fell flat for me. The story opens with a penis sculpture in the snow. Sounds fun right? Well I'm sorry but this story was boring. It didn't feel like a lot happened. I own a copy of The Tourist Trap so I'm hoping I'll enjoy that one more.

Thank you to @netgalley and @sourcebookscasa for a copy of this to read and review! This is the follow up to The Tourist Attraction, which is you haven’t read yet go but now!!! This is Lana and Rick’s story. This book starts with Lana trying to win over the town. She is on a mission to catch Santa Moose, a grinch moose who wants to ruin all the Christmas decorations! My favorite part in her quest is when Lana and Zoey go out moose hunting and Lana accidentally tranquilizes Rick instead of the moose. 🤣🤣🤣 This one had a little bit of a slow start for me (I think I was having a book hangover from the last one in the series which I adored) but I really enjoyed this on as well. This author is going to be a must buy for me. Her stories are so fun!

Mistletoe and Mr. Right is the second in the Moose Springs, Alaska series by Sarah Morgenthaler and it is every bit as fun and enjoyable as The Tourist Attraction was.

I'm a sucker for anything Christmas, and heading back to Moose Springs right in the midst of Christmas was everything I needed. Mistletoe, Christmas cookies, a Santa suit, two sizes too small and the light hunting, decoration destroying Santa Moose made for a perfect combination.

Lana was a favourite of mine from the first chapter of the Tourist Trap - getting a whole book about her great. She's the definition of a strong, independent woman and she has been attempting to do life on her own for as long as possible. This book let's us see that she isn't actually as bulletproof and tough as she wants everyone to think. She's vulnerable, scared and a little bit lonely - she isn't a ruthless business woman who can tear apart a town full of people she loves to make a quick buck.

Rick is an angel - that is the best way to describe him. A man who knits socks for his pet hedgehog and does his best to take care of a grumpy teenager who has suffered far more than he should have.

Rick and Lana were perfect for each other, they completely complimented one another as a couple. They make up for what the other lacks and even if they think it could just be a holiday fling at the start it's very clear they are made for one another.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and am so thankful that I was provided an ARC. I can't wait to read the third instalment in the Moose Springs series.

An e-ARC was provided by the publisher in exchange for an honest review, all opinions are my own.

This book is a great winter read. I will say it had a slowish start but once the ball started rolling, it did not stop. Rick and Lana are two lonely souls that find and perfectly complement each other. Definitely recommend!

Thank you to NetGalley and Sourcebooks Casa for the e-arch of this title.

Mistletoe and Mr. Right by Sarah Morgenthaler is an absolute joy. I loved The Tourist Attraction and Mistletoe and Mr. Right is a sequel that replicates all the things that made the original book special and adds some holiday magic to the mix. In my opinion Morgenthaler has pinpointed all the things that make a successful rom com.

Some things I loved about this book:

- Lana is a standout heroine. She's a fierce business woman who is vulnerable and caring and has a wacky family.
- Rick is a strong, quiet hero with a heart of gold. You've got to love a guy who continues taking responsibility for his ex-wife's nephew and menagerie of stray animals, even after she abandons him.
- A small town with all the quirky characters I expect from a small town romance.
- The Alaska setting - I am a sucker for an Alaskan setting and this one delivers.
- And finally the animals! Sarah Morgenthaler always has the best animals in her book. I mean moose, cats, dogs, and even a hedge hog! (I am in love with the hedge hog in the story.)

As far as steaminess goes this is a fade to black romance. I tend to like steam but I think there is enough sexual tension between Lana and Rick that I didn't really miss it.

So what are you waiting for - go get your copy today!

I really really really wanted to love this one. Especially after how hard I fell for Graham and Zoey in THE TOURIST ATTRACTION. But Rick and Lana as a couple just didn’t work for me.

Lana is a force of nature. She’s intelligent, driven, compassionate and goes after what she wants. Rick is just… nice? They just didn’t really have any chemistry and I had the hardest time wanting their HEA.

Is it bad that my favorite parts of the book were when Zoey and Graham were there with their adorable banter?

The quirkiness from THE TOURIST ATTRACTION is here again in MISTLETOE & MR. RIGHT and there were parts that left me giggling out loud. Like the taxidermy squirrels. And the tranquilizer gun plus spiked eggnog.

That being said, I’m incredibly excited for Easton’s love story in ENJOY THE VIEW and will be returning to Moose Springs, Alaska for more of this quirky town we’ve come to love.

Moose Springs, Alaska – Present Day

The citizens of Moose Springs do not like socialite Lana Montgomery because she is rich, and they are suspicious of her ideas to make their lives better. How can someone who didn’t grow up in a small Alaskan town tell them what to do differently? But one person in town does like Lana: bar owner Rick Harding. He has watched Lana try to blend in as she flits around town suggesting and bringing about changes. Right now, she is determined to find—and tranquilize—a marauding moose that is destroying Christmas decorations. Lana is intrigued by Rick. He is stoic and quiet, plus he will always step in to help others, including her. After some time spent together talking to each other, feelings develop. But Lana is on a short leash with her family as they want her to leave Moose Springs by the end of December to get back to “family” business matters. Can she bear to leave Rick and their fledging romance behind? Do they have anything to offer one another—besides love?

Christmas is approaching and Lana is gunning for a moose playing hide and seek in MISTLETOE AND MR. RIGHT by Sarah Morgenthaler. Yes, this book will definitely tickle your funny bone and make you smile. Lana is all business when it comes to Moose Springs. She works for her family’s corporation and has been overseeing the building of condos while living there. Her family is making noises about wanting Lana to return to Chicago and concentrate on other projects. But she loves living in Alaska and promises she won’t leave until she catches the moose, while secretly she wants to stick around to see the town transformed into one that is more vibrant and making money. Right now, very few tourists visit. Lana wants to change that. Or is it because Rick has caught her eye? They have spent many nights chatting in the bar, and he’s easy to talk to, as well as being easy on the eye.

Rick has been somewhat bitter over his divorce. He did just about everything to keep his wife, but in the end, she wasn’t satisfied and moved on. Rick must admit that living in Alaska isn’t for everyone. It’s cold and isolated, plus you must deal with wild animals, such as the moose that’s been terrorizing Christmas decorations in Moose Springs. Lana claims she likes staying in Moose Springs, but how soon will the novelty wear off and she hightails it back to Chicago? As their feelings for each other heighten, maybe a Christmas fling is in order to “scratch the itch.” Yet, the attraction they have for each other appears to be deeper than just a temporary fling.

There is plenty of fun and hijinks galore in MISTLETOE AND MR. RIGHT, the second book in the Moose Springs, Alaska series. The townspeople are a quirky bunch who love their town and view Lana with suspicion. Will she commercialize their town and destroy it? Lana insists that won’t happen, but can they trust her? If you love a cute, funny, and entertaining holiday romance, then be sure to put MISTLETOE AND MR. RIGHT at the top of your to-buy list.

After I finished The Tourist Attraction earlier this year, I knew that I had to read the rest of this series! I loved being able to 'catch up' with Zoey and Graham in this book and get to know Lana and Rick better also.

Unfortunately, I had a harder time getting into this one. It took me a while to warm up to Lana. And I was not feeling the instant chemistry and sparks like I did the previous book in this series. Rick did not feel like the usual male love interest and all that made it harder for me to rooting for the unlikely pairing. I did eventually like them together and was happy with the ending. They were actually a good fit after they talked thru all their baggage.

I may have struggled some with Lana's overuse of 'dearest', but her character had a quite a hard shell that took some work to peel the layers back. Once they were, I grew to really like her. And I also appreciated Rick's relationship with Deigo, I thought that added a little something extra to the story and showed more of who Rick really was.

I enjoyed the shenanigans that the Santa Moose brought about, especially the unfortunate incident that involved some spiked egg nog and a tranquilizer gun! And the date gone wrong was also pretty funny! Those squirrels would have creeped me out too!!

I did enjoy the sense of community and family among everyone in Moose Springs. That town truly sticks together, and Lana's desire to help them all really warmed my heart. I'm looking forward to the next book in this series about Easton and also hoping that Killian will make an appearance again!

Thank you to Sourcebooks Casablanca for my copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

5 stars!! It was just what I needed, a little Christmas in September. I love this author, she's quickly becoming a favorite of mine!! Ugh, I want nothing more than to invade the small town of Moose Springs that Morgenthater has created. Mistletoe and Mr. Right: the story of the how the moose (almost) stole Christmas.
Lana Montgomery is everything the quirky small town of Moose Springs can't stand: a rich socialite with dreams of changing things for the better. But Lana's determined to prove that she belongs...even if it means trading her stilettos for snow boots and tracking one of the town's hairiest Christmas mysteries: the Santa Moose, an antlered Grinch hell-bent on destroying every bit of holiday cheer it can sink its teeth into. And really...how hard could it be?
The last few years have been tough on Rick Harding, and it's not getting any easier now that his dream girl's back in town. When Lana accidentally tranquilizes him instead of the Santa Moose, it's clear she needs help, fast...and this could be his chance to finally catch her eye. It's an all-out Christmas war, but if they can nab that darn moose before it destroys the town, Rick and Lana might finally find a place where they both belong...together.

What is great about these books is that while they are a series, they can totally be read as standalones. THIS BOOK IS JUST SO CUTE, and yet, there is a theme around loneliness that both our characters struggle with that I related to deeply. I had to pause for a moment while reading a couple of these scenes where Lana quietly dives into her own feelings that left me realizing I wasn't so alone in mine. Deep for a romantic comedy right? And comedy there was. A Christmas hating moose, penis snow art, tranq darts, and plenty of spiked eggnog. And can we just acknowledge that Morgenthaler masterfully creates men who have quirky animals they dote on? Cause that's a huge selling point for me (he must love animals). Ugh, love them. All of the characters from the first book are in here once again and it was so fun to revisit them. They are such a fun cast of characters. I really enjoyed getting to know more about Lana and what she's all about. In the first book she came off as distant if not kind of a lack friend while Zoe struggled to keep her vacation together, but in here we learn just how much she values those friendships and connections. She truly wants to save Moose Springs for the better; ready to carve a home out for herself. Rick is such a sweety!! Shy and quiet, it was so fun to read from his POV, to learn about his past and the way he lives a quiet life in Moose Springs.
I can hardly wait for Easton's book to come out I am so excited.

Mistletoe and Mr. Right was an adorable rom com book that I enjoyed. I loved The Tourist Attraction and was excited to head back to Moose Springs to see the familiar characters. This was a fun and light book. It is book two so it’s helpful to read book one but it could be a standalone book. I love a good rom com set during Christmas. A fun read that had me laughing out loud. Recommended for those that enjoyed Beach Read. Thank you to Sourcebooks and Netgalley for my advanced copy. All opinions are my own.

A Christmas Book !!! I adored this book just as much as The Tourist Attraction. Moose Springs is such a cool place in Alaska...the setting of this book is so descriptive I can literally smell the scents through the pages and see the location so clearly in my mind. Lana and Rick come from 2 different worlds, but oh boy..do sparks fly among the snowy mountains! This novel encompassed much more than a cutesy rom-com on its own..such as love and acceptance...easy 5 stars
