Very cute and perfect for the holiday season. I loved the premise and especially the charm & character of Moose Springs. The pacing was a little slow for me and I got bored with the “corporate take over” trope but overall, I really enjoyed the magic of Mistletoe & Mr. Right!

I really enjoyed this Christmas romance! Bring on the Christmas Decorating!

We met Lana and Rick in The Tourist Attraction, and this book continues to increase my love for Alaska. It's been on my bucket list, and continues to climb to the top.

This was a great slow burn closed door romance. But don't fret, there was so much chemistry and mutual attraction (and kissing) between Lana and Rick, and their out of practice awkward dates were hilarious.

This book will not only have you falling in love with Alaska, and Lana and Rick's romance, but you will be cheering for Lana as she proves that she is an absolute strong and powerful female exec. Rick not only was quite swoony, but an complete gentleman. I love seeing that in romance books!

I'm already looking forward to the next book in the series! January cannot come soon enough!!

Lana Montgomery is everything the people of Moose Springs dislikes: she's rich, comes across a tad stuck-up, and oh yeah... she bought their entire town to build upscale condominiums to bring even more tourists to the already packed small town. But if Lana is anything it's determined. She refuses to let the town's collective unease towards her bring her down. She'll do anything to prove to them that she has their best interests at heart-- even if that means tracking down the elusive Santa Moose that stalks the town at night destroying any holiday decorations in its path. After accidentally shooting Rick Harding, the handsome pool hall owner, with a tranquilizer gun, Lana concedes to the fact that she may need a little help in her endeavor. With Rick on her side, Lana is sure the town will warm up to her, she just didn't count on Rick stirring up warm feelings inside herself as well.

Have you ever just fallen completely head over heels for a series? That's how I feel with the Moose Springs books. Morgenthaler has quickly stolen my heart with these characters and stories, and I'm so here for it. Thanks to the first book, The Tourist Attraction, we already have an idea about who Lana is and how the town isn't her biggest fan. She has all these big dreams for this small town that she loves so much, so it's a bit sad to see how little regard the people have for her. We also got a small taste of Rick, but this one dives more into his backstory and I enjoyed learning about him and all that he's been through. He and Lana balanced each other well, and I loved seeing their relationship grow. It was just so cute. There were so many funny moments in this (I mean, if the accidental tranq gun shooting wasn't enough, there's a scene at a creepy B&B filled with taxidermy squirrels), but also tons of heartwarming ones as well. Again, Morgenthaler mixes humor and heart in such a lovely way. Of course, it had its predictable moments, but I for one am so sold on this series, that it doesn't even phase me. If you're looking for a cute holiday read, pick this up.

This book was super cute. It's not quite as laugh out loud funny as The Tourist Attraction, but that's not a bad thing-Rick and Lana are more serious than Graham and Zoey and come with a lot more baggage. There are still plenty of hilarious moments, sometimes with squirrels!

If these books were real life Graham would exhaust me. Rick is who I'd really want- steady, quietly determined, protective but understands when you need to take care of yourself. Lana is a complicated bad ass who cares a lot more about people and the town than she initially seemed to. Seeing these two opposites attract and watching as their relationship grew from its hesitant start to the emotional HEA was a treat.

It's closed door so that's either a plus or a minus depending on your preferences. I prefer open door but this book is sweet enough to make up for the lack of heat. I can't wait to read Easton's story next!

I'm having trouble placing this book. Parts of it I loved and parts I really didn't.

My main issues:
- Lana's stilted way of speaking. I assume it was meant to show how old money and class she is but none of her family spoke that way and it just didn't work for me.
- Lana and Rick had no real conflict for over 90% of the book and then out of nowhere they had conflict. The other 90% was outside conflict -- Lana and her family, and Rick and his.
- The first half felt overly slow while the second half was action packed. I think part of it was the re-intro of moose springs as if the reader hadn't read The Tourist Attraction. But the no-conflict insta-love into mutual-pining love story wasn't too exciting for me.

Over all, it was a cute read and enjoyed the small town bits but would have liked more consistent pacing and less stilted dialogue.

Mistletoe and Mr, Right was the perfect start to my Christmas romance season! Charming, with a well-done city girl x small town boy romance, the characters had me rooting for them! Sarah's writing is fun and light and the book felt like a comforting hug! I wish I'd read The Tourist Attraction before this one though, I felt like the book had A LOT of references to the events of that book! Which is fair, and I'm excited to explore Sarah's backlist!

The first two installments in this series have given me exactly what I needed and expected based on the covers and synopses: charming, predictable romance in a pretty great setting. I enjoyed this one even more than its predecessor.

The characters are generally likeable. Rick is a little too perfect here; he's been hurt, he has a huge heart, he loves animals and anyone who needs caretaking, and he puts up with ALL of the nonsense. Lana is a fairly career-driven individual, though there's a little too much "Montgomerys do" and "Montgomerys don't," which at times takes away from her choices. Her most horrific quality by far is an aggressive use of the word "dearest." I know you think she's 80. If she were, I'd be okay with this quirk. There was a similar situation for me in the first book with the repetition of a word that also totally distracted me. My #1 hope for the third book is that somehow, the characters manage to escape another awful tag line or gimmicky moniker. It's really all I want. Some diversity would be an added bonus, but one step at a time.

Overall, this is a straightforward romance between two characters who seem to really appreciate the opportunity, and I enjoyed reading about it.

After recently reading The Tourist Attraction, I was very excited to be approved for Mistletoe and Mr. Right. If you've read the first book (which you don't really NEED to do, it just helps & gives background), this book covers Lana and her adventures into trying to save Moose Springs by doing exactly what the locals don't want to have happen - increasing tourists in the area. While she does this, she begins to fall in love with the very quiet but very handsome Rick, who runs a bar in Moose Springs and who blushes whenever Lana looks at him. Rick is a local, living a small town life.

I enjoyed this book, but not as much as the first book. I enjoyed the consistency within the dramatic points where the female does something fairly illegal to the male & hijinks ensue. I thought the Santa Moose plot line was hysterical, and I truly enjoyed the depth that Lana's character was given. She wasn't the typical rich, party girl in the first book, but she also wasn't given much attention or personality. In this book you really get to see how she feels about her family, the business, and the town.

I wish the Santa Moose has a more distinct ending. That plot line truly fell flat. I wish Rick had more of a personality. Outside of being a genuinely nice guy, there wasn't much given to him at all. Even from his POV the thoughts you're privy to are just so surface level. Lastly, the ending was way too forced and rushed. The pacing of this book was all off for me. For these reasons, I enjoyed this first more, but I will be reading the third when it comes out!

Overall, a cute, Christmassy story coming out in the Fall. Go check it out!

I really enjoyed this sequel to The Tourist Attraction! Such a funny romantic book! Once again I found myself in love with Moose Springs and all of the people!

Mistletoe and Mr. Right is a sweet romcom that is also often laugh out loud funny. It features the snowy location of Moose Springs, Alaska and takes place the two weeks before Christmas. While the book features many of the local characters introduced in the Tourist Attraction (the author's first book in the Moose Springs series) this book focuses on Rick and Lana. They are two lonely souls determined to remain that way. But **spoiler alert** in true romcom fashion love wins out, a Christmas decoration destroying moose is exposed and the future of Moose Springs may be saved. Treat yourself to this book and add the first book in the series to your TBR pile.

I received Mistletoe and Mr. Right from Netgalley as an eARC in exchange for a review.

Mistletoe and Mr. Right follows Lana, wealthy heiress to a real estate power family, and Rick, townie owner of a run down pool hall. Lana has been infatuated with Moose Springs since was young, and Rick has called Moose Springs home his whole life. Lana and Rick's paths have crossed many times, but this holiday season sparks fly.

This was a very cute, feel good romance. Rick and Lana both had very clear personalities. The story moved along very well with plenty of conflicts and resolutions. I was disappointed there was not more plot regarding the Christmas Moose, since it was implied to be a larger part of the story than it turned out to. The biggest reason this story does not get a higher rating is because I have a feeling I won't remember this story by Christmas time.

Mistletoe and Mr. Right has all of the makings of an amazing Hallmark Christmas romance wrapped up in a book: a small town, an adorable couple, and a quirky story.

Lana Montgomery loves Moose Springs. After years of coming to the small town, Lana decides to build luxury condominiums in the hopes that it will drive tourism to the town. Unfortunately for her, the townspeople all hate the idea. While Lana tries to persuade the town that she is on their side, Lana also finds herself falling into a fling with Rick, a handsome man dealing with his own past. Moose Springs means a lot for Lana, but does it also mean disappointment or heartbreak?

After reading this novel, I am officially ready for Christmas, Hallmark movies that make me smile, and a nice cup of hot coco. Lana and Rick's romance was incredibly adorable. It's everything a romance reader like me wants - lots of flirting, fun banter, and SO MUCH sexual tension. I mean, rawr.

I also think the backstory with the Santa Moose was very cute and fun. It gives the story a nice quirky twist that makes it different from other romance novels. But the quirkiness did not stop there. I loved all of the banter from all of the characters. The inhabitants of Moose Springs are so entertaining to read about (especially Graham, which means I am definitely going to read Morgenthaler's book about him, The Tourist Attraction).

My only annoyance was how often Lana used "dearest." I get that it's supposed to be like her thing, but the way I read it in my mind was almost condescending. Although, I can get that other people might feel differently. Overall, really enjoyed this book and am now fully prepared for the holiday season.

I didn't read the first book in this series, but I don't think it was necessary to. I definitely will, but I don't think I missed anything. I did think this was a little long and took a bit to get going, otherwise it was a nice read!

Thank you to NetGalley and SourcebooksCasablanca for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I would recommend reading the first book in the series before this one. It gives the background for both of these characters, and the MC from the first book feature prominently in this one.

I would recommend if you're looking for:

-holiday romance
-small town romance
-opposites attract
-friends to lovers
-slow burn steam
-single father
-a moose intent on destroying holiday decorations
-a BNB stuffed full of stuffed squirrels

Cute is the best word to describe this book. The romance between Lana and Rick is quiet. All about knowing the other person, the secret glances and observations as you fall for someone. I did miss the tension and banter of the first book, but Lana and Rick's romance is a a beautiful story of two people coming back into the world, both of them hiding away. It is a closed door romance.

I am looking forward to the next books in the series. Fingers crossed the twins get their own love stories.

Rating: 4 stars

ADORABLE.

This book was everything Christmas and romantic and I just loved it. I was incredibly excited when I got an ARC because I loved The Tourist Attraction and knew I needed to read Lana’s story as well.

I loved how Lana and Rick’s relationship developed. It could have been very insta-love, but didn’t come off that way at all. They were both sweet on each other and had the CUTEST interactions. I couldn’t help but smile at the antics they would end up in. And the conflict between the two (as expected in a contemporary romance) wasn’t silly or over-hashed. It really fit into their situation and understanding of the differences between them. Which made the ending even more tender and I am just smitten with Rick and Lana y’all. Opposites attract trope that I thought was perfectly well done.

Even as separate characters they kept me interested. I didn’t mind which point-of-view I was reading because I was invested with both. The pace moved quickly and even side stories fit in well (hellooooo the cuteness that is still Graham and Zoey).

This is such a good Christmas-time read and am so happy I found this series. I can’t wait for more stories because I want to know about all of these characters. These books are easy to read, add just enough drama, and make you have the biggest smile.

Overall audience notes:

Contemporary romance [Christmas]
Language: a little
Romance: kisses / make-outs; a closed door scene
Violence: a tranquilizing gun accident, a side character in a nearly deadly car wreck
Content warnings: brief sexual harassment of a side character, a near drowning of a child

As a sequel this missed the bus. Tourist Trap was such a success and a cute Rom Com, this didnt have the same warm and fuzzies. We weren’t introduced to the Moose Springs characters as well at the beginning- not a great stand alone book.

Uber wealthy Chicagoan Lana Montgomery may have finally met her match in Moose Springs native Rick. Already divorced and taken in his nephew, Diego, Rick is a bit scarred and wary of getting too serious again. But once Lana steps into his life- it’s all over.
Lana needs someone to tie her to one place and not flying everywhere to work for the family business- The Montgomery Group.
Can their differences and love keep them together or will her town ventures tear them apart?

Mistletoe and Mr. Right by Sarah Morgenthaler is the second in her Moose Springs series and focuses on Lana Montgomery, a powerful real estate mogul who is in line to take over her family's vast empire. But she lost her heart to Moose Springs, a small town north of Anchorage, Alaska when she was a child. She's in town to try and build on her family's legacy and spend some quality time with her best friend.

While campaigning for her newest building project, she meets Rick, a local recluse since his divorce and owner of the pool hall downtown. Sparks fly between the two, but trying to navigate a relationship when one is always on the move and one is settled will prove to be more of a challenge for them than they first realize. There's also a belligerent moose on the run who has a strong dislike for all things Christmas.

I enjoyed seeing the relationship between Lana and Rick develop. It seemed realistic and sweet but never shying away from the difficulties of trying to please family expectations and yourself. Lana's friends in town were fun but I would have liked to see more interactions with people outside of her strong supporters.

I'm looking forward to the next book in the series where I hope to find out more about Moose Springs, the Christmas Moose and if any more of the Montgomery clan plan on visiting Moose Springs.

Note: I received an advance reader copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review via NetGalley and the publishers.

I super wanted to love this because of the awesome premise, but the writing style is just not clicking. Wouldn't be fair to the book if I finished and rated it lowly. DNF.

I DNF'ed at 20%. It was just a little too slow for me and I really couldn't connect with any of the characters. I wanted there to be more of a romance plot and less of a chasing after a moose type of plot. I also didn't think the two supposed love interests could relate to each other enough and the chemistry was poor from what I read. I wasn't rooting for them, therefore I had no interest in continuing this story and decided to put this down.
Thank you to the author, publisher, and Netgalley for allowing me the opportunity to read this. It wasn't my cup of tea, but it could be yours! (My rating of 3 stars was just to put it in the middle since I can't give a true rating)

Mistletoe and Mr. Right is the sequel to The Tourist Attraction (which I haven’t read). While it took me a little bit to get into this one, it was a quick, funny read.

Set in Moose Springs, Alaska at Christmas, Mistletoe and Mr. Right opens with Lana (one of our main characters) discovering a giant penis drawn in snow. Hilarious right? Lana wants to turn Moose Springs into a tourist attraction, but the locals disagree and are determined to run her out of town.

Things I liked:
The setting. I feel like Alaska at Christmas would be perfect… Especially since this novel didn’t really mention the freezing temperatures or the continuous dark.
Rick has a grumpy old cat and a sweet hedgehog he dresses up in clothes! Freaking adorable.
The secondary characters are all likable, quirky and funny. I can see many more books featuring the town of Moose Springs.

Things I disliked:
The chapters were too long for me. I tend to prefer short chapters— especially in a light read like this.
This one isn’t steamy enough for me. I prefer being present for the good stuff!

Thanks to NetGalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca for the ARC of this book, the opinions are my own and are freely given.
