The F List by Alessandra Torre is a bit of an ugly look at the reality that is fame and hollywood and what it takes to be an influencer or celebrity.

Emma goes from rags to riches and chases the allure of fame, think Paris Hilton, Kim Kardashian, any reality TV media mogul. You can tell she is a kind person who is trying to find her happiness but she is searching for it through tangible or monetary means and in general is not a very happy person. More than that, as a reader I found her kind of unlikeable. She made decisions and her character went in directions where i found myself cringing and going "Oh no!" or "Don't do that".

Cash was born in to the spotlight and from the beginning of the book you can tell he wants something normal, and real, but he doesn't seem to know how to get it.

I found i didn't really like either of the characters and I kept waiting to get to a part of the story where they went from enemies to lovers, but the content of this story is pretty PG. I was not expecting that having read a couple other books by Alessandra Torre. I think this was an interesting look at Celebrity, and a relatively quick read, but I struggled with the characters and their motivations and the style this book was written in, with inserts from 3rd parties that I felt did not tie together to a larger theme.

Emma was from the wrong side of the tracks and all she ever wanted was to be famous. So when she won $1,000,000 on a scratch ticket, she told no one and then changed her name and her appearance and never looked back. She hired people to help her become famous by being an internet influencer. Then she did a reality TV show with five other influencers and among them was Cash Mitchell. Emma had been in love with him for five years. But she was the nasty girl while Cash was the golden boy.

This is a cute romance with a really unique storyline ... which I loved. Even though Emma was supposed to be the girl that everyone hated, I couldn’t help but love her. There was a heart of gold underneath all that snark. And even though everyone thought Cash had this idealistic life, it couldn’t be farther from the truth. Cash’s brother Wesley was a great addition to the cast of characters. A quick read that shouldn’t be missed.

As usual, Alessandra Torre's writing is original, well researched and well-paced. For more than the first half, I felt a bit more detached from this book because I had a hard time relating to the mindless, influencer, social media culture this book is set in. In spite of this Torre does a good job of showing the deeper side of these characters and that come out more and more as the book progresses. I loved the ending, it was the perfect antidote to all my misgivings about the shallow world the book was set in.

Alessandra Torre’s “The F List is a light, quick, and fun read that focuses on a behind the scenes look at social media celebrities and influencers lives and relationships. This book is full of drama, romance, and insights. In a world where celebrities are seen and heard everywhere, this look into the costs of getting views and likes was interesting.

The focal relationship of the story is between Emma, a sometimes-mean-girl who lucked her way into fame with a lottery ticket and a scathing tongue, and Cash, the silver spoon good boy with dark secrets. As Emma navigates the world she’s forced her way into, they meet and it is far from even like-at-first-sight. When forced together into an MTV “Real World” type reality show, they have a chance to learn more about each other and romance blooms - but that would hardly make for good tv. Cue more drama, producers and roommates with their own agendas, and secrets that don’t stay secret long.

This genre is not something I naturally gravitate towards, but the summary and reviews hooked me. I’m glad they did and I’m glad I gave this story a chance, as it was ultimately a lighthearted romance with characters I became invested in and was rooting for. Pick this one up!

The F List is a Hollywood/celebrity romance that is as addicting as your favorite reality show. Alessandra Torre is one of my favorite authors and wrote an amazing story that you won't be able to put down. Cash and Emma are some of the hottest celebrities but put them in the same room and its trouble.

The first chapters were great at giving readers a backstory on both Emma and Cash. When we meet Emma, she is shy and timid. She didn't feel beautiful because of her appearance and that played a huge role in her affecting her personality. She wants more for herself and wants to feel wanted by someone.

Cash is a hot celebrity that always has a gorgeous woman on his arm. All the ladies love him because he is actually a nice guy. He meets Emma at a party and comes to the rescue.

The story picks up 5 years later. Emma is now an Instagram influencer and is offered the opportunity to be on a reality show with none other than Cash. They don't have the best track record. Most would call them enemies. As they are forced to be in close quarters, tensions rise between Cash and Emma.

This book is different than some of Alessandra's book as there is no sex. But the anticipation is amazing! So worth the read.

I give The F List 5 stars. This enemies-to-lovers romance is unputdownable. You can't help but fall in love with the unpredictable Emma and swoon-worthy Cash. This book just made it on my 'favorite reads of 2020' list!

A fun, entertaining enemies to lovers story, although I must say, that for pretty much the whole book they’re enemies. Even though they’re secretly attracted to each other, they would never admit it. Emma was brought up in a trailer park, Cash grew up in Beverley Hills. Cash hated the spotlight, Emma lived for it. Two opposites with so much in common. For one, they both had lousy parents, and secondly, they both needed, no wanted, more followers on their social media. After a lousy fake date with Cash, Emma ends up publicly trashing him, herein starts a public hatefest that culminates in a celebrity reality TV show that has them, and 4 others, sharing a house for 6 weeks. It’s fun, it’s emotional and the characters, no matter how flawed as individuals they are, were all consuming for me, I loved them. Faultless writing, and a fun addictive storyline. I could not put this book down. I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. This is my honest review.

Although she is famous on social networks, people hate her and during her time at home, she will understand that she can be a better person for herself, but also for others.
Cash is a charismatic character, she has her ups and downs, but I have to say that she recovers immediately.
Anyway, you may wonder what the F list stands for? Well, after what I told you, I think it's clear by now: Fame, Fortune and Followers.
The F List is a book that can be read in a short time, flowing and intriguing like every novel by Alessandra Torre.

Laying it out and making it up!

How to review this book? First it’s not what I’ve always read from this amazing author. Its intensity comes from perception, popularity and a intense need to matter. The book made me ask a lot of questions. It’s very well written and kept me guessing all the way to the very end.

There was a lot I did to get to this point, to get 42 million followers. Some of it I was proud of, most of it I wasn't.

There was a group of us, all internet celebrities, and everyone wanted in, which is how six of us ended up living in this mansion, a camera always on, the public always watching. Two months and nine carefully scripted TV episodes that would get us more of the three F's we were desperately chasing.

This book has everything I love in a book. Then you add that it's beautifully written and believable. It is easily a five star read. Written in dual POV my personal favorite this story flows so incredibly well that the next thing you know your 80% into the book and loving every second of it. The believable way the characters interact is perfect. Run, Hop, Jump or use your (1 click) finger to do whatever you have to do and get this amazing book. It'll break your heart, you'll want to scream with frustration and it'll let you discover that love just might conquer all. The chemistry is steamy and sweet and oh so romantic.

Well, I just spent my day reading this awesome contemporary romance novel by Alessandra Torre. The F List dives into the world of online celebrity. This phenomenon has been growing ever since social media and the Kardashians obtained notoriety. The F List dives into the world of two influencers, how they starred in a reality-show, and how they began a storyline for ratings. This cute romance is reminiscent of Christina Lauren novels, so I highly suggest picking up this book if you've read any of their books. I really enjoyed the bird's eye view of "the online celebrity" and I also found that the romance in this novel really was portrayed interestingly. I definitely would pick up another book from this author.

The F List uncovers the ugly truth behind the glamorous lives of celebrities. It shows how much trouble the celebrities have to go through just to have fame. It shows that not everything is as black and white as we assume it to be.
Emma, the female character, is a fierce girl who rose to fame after she won a lottery of one million. She is perceived to be 'the wicked witch' by her followers because she likes to tell things as it is, whitout sugarcoating it. On the other hand, we have Cash, a celebrity kid, who has been under the spotlight since his childhood. Cash is perceived to be a good person who doesn't like Emma, because they have some beef. The story revolves around these two main characters. This book shows how much fame matters in the age of social media. I loved the book and I fell in love with Wesley. I loved the scenes which had Emma spending time with Wesley. This book was so different. It shed light on how social media is basically controlling today's generation. I also loved how the author had used hashtags in place of chapter names. I had never read anything by Alessandra Torre before so I didn't know what to expect from the book. But, I'm glad that I chose to read it because I absolutely loved it.

I really enjoyed this one! More than I thought I would actually. I’ve read several by this author and found them hit or miss for me. This was a great look at love in the age of “internet famous”. I thought the dual POV worked well. I loved Wesley and the relationships they both had with him, but especially Emma, whom I’m not sure I would have connected with otherwise. A quick and entertaining read that gave me a day of fun during quarantine!

The blurb had me excited to read this story because it's unlike any I have ever read before. I have to say that this was a well-written and unique romance read but this story turned out to be just an okay read for me. Emma was an okay character but it definitely took me a while to warm up to her. I didn't connect with her like I had hoped. I enjoyed Cash a lot, along with some of the side characters. Their story was fast, light and funny and I enjoyed the back and forth banter between the two. However, some parts felt a bit rushed. I wanted to see more growth from the characters and I wanted to believe in or feel their love and I didn't. It's like I needed more time with them as a couple to make me believe it and with an ending that felt unrealistic, it hurt their story a little. This wasn't a terrible read. I just need more of a connection from the characters and needed it to be believable.

This was my first book by Alessandra Torre and I really enjoyed this romance that is focused on the world of reality stars. The alternating point of view made the story enjoyable because it helped the reader see the back and forth between the two main characters. They story had depth and strong emotion and I will be looking for more from this author! Thank you netgalley for this arc in exchange for my honest opinion.

This book got off to a great start, however, I found the character jumps all over the place. The transitions were not smooth. Emma was difficult to like and painting emphatic sides to her seemed forced. All in all, not a favorite, though I thought it had great potential and I know it will do well.

This is an interesting book about celebrities and social media especially. Two characters who have very little in common initially. One is a golden boy and the other is a poor little girl from the wrong side of the tracks...etc.etc. I love how they got together and how both of the grow. Terrific book!
