This reminded me of something Studio Ghibli would have produced, both in art style and subject manner. It's quirky with lots of hokey jokes and two bumbling idiot policeman for comic relief. It's got some Avatar: The last Airbender thrown in there as well with the questing and relationships between the main characters.

'Milo's World Book 3: The Cloud Girl' by Richard Marazano with art by Christophe Ferriera finds Milo and Valia witt a new mystery to solve.

When a strange girl is found floating in the lake, it's only the start of weird occurrences. Next large brambles (that look like Jack's beanstalk) connect to the clouds and menacing creatures who don't like light are stalking the countryside. The girl is the key to solving things, and Milo and Valia end up going up the brambles to restore order.

I've read one other book in this series, and I like the unusual storyline. Some of the characters are a bit too caricatured for me. I do really like the art a lot. It's a fun, unusual story.

I received a review copy of this graphic novel from Diamond Book Distributors and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you for allowing me to review this graphic novel.

Third book in an adventure series, but this one can stand alone, given the story line and enough information. We see these adventurous kids are up to the task of saving worlds. Excellent artwork enhances this story. Highly recommended.

This was my first graphic novel ever, and I really liked it. I haven’t read book 1 and 2, but that doesn’t matter, because I understood the whole story. It was a good story, where the action came very quickly at the start of the book. In that way it was immediately exciting and I couldn’t stop reading.

It’s a very quick read with lovely characters. I especially loved the grumpy policemen, with their humor. And I loved to see how their opinions changed through the book.

Overall I really liked this graphic novel, and I would love to read more

Thanks to NetGalley and Diamond Book Distributors for providing an advanced copy of this graphic novel in exchange for an honest review.

Strange vines breaking through the clouds and a girl floating in a lake. It can't be a coincidence. Milo and Valia must work with the mysterious new girl to save her magical land and their own in the process. An adventure that is part Avatar the Last Airbender that gives me serious Studio Ghibli vibes, Milo's World Book 3 is action packed from the first page.

I really liked the dynamic between the three characters. It reminded me of a classic manga adventure with a great sense of humor and subtle hints at a possible romance? I haven't read any of the other books, but seeing how in the description it was listed as a self-contained story volume it wasn't difficult to get up to speed and not knowing the history of the characters from the first page didn't hinder the story at all.
