This is a beautiful devotional book for youth and the whole family. Even if you don't love horses this is recommended for young readers 8-12 others will enjoy and benefit from this book as well. It has inspirational photos of horses along with farms and country scenery too sure to be a joy for any horse fan. This along with the inspiration of Faith in God's word is a delightful devotional book. It is a nice beginning to help in Christian studies and growth in Faith. There is an adult version too (so I hear) and I feel it is something I need to find. I am not sure if it has horses or not, but if it is an unbridled version then I would say it does. Therefore, it is something I would enjoy reading and reflecting in Faith within its pages as well.
Unbridled Faith Devotions for Young Readers Is a faith-based book centered around horses. Tween readers will be drawn into the photographs of the horses paired with the riding stories. Strongly recommended for young horse-lovers everywhere.
Adorable and lovely book for young readers. I highly recommend this book. If your child loves horses, the devotionals that go with the photo will keep them wanting to read night after night. Beautiful spirit in the presentation of the book of devotions.
Ok...first, yes--this is a book that should. be on every parent's coffee table or easily accessible spot for Reading-Children to access. First, the pictures will draw any animal loving child to these pages, but the real gem is the treasure that they will find within the pages. The devotions are short and on target. After reading through this devotional, I think it's age appropriate for Young Readers AND Adults. Sometimes we adults need the simplest "ah-ha" moments to kick us in the right direction again, don't we?
However--what caught my attention most was actually the forward! What an amazing story just in those introductory pages. Those words alone set the reader up for life change. And that's what this whole book is about. So yes, I think Thomas Nelson unearthed a treasure when they found Cara Whitney and I am so very thankful that they choose to share her (and her husband) with the world.
Sweet sweet book! If you have a little lady who loves horses, this is a super-sweet book that they will adore!!
For horse lovers and others, this attractive devotional takes a “big sister” tone to encourage tween and young teen girls to grow in faith. Stories about life on the author’s horse farm lead to insights about prayer, persistence, and identity in Christ. Love the design and beautiful photos! Each devotion features a Bible verse and a prayer prompt.
Insightful, thoughtful, and creative, this devotional ties into the practical world of horses with ease. The messages are positive and the book is attractive in format and color. I think even those who are without horse fever would enjoy reading. Highly recommended.
An excellent devotional for late elementary and middle school readers who love horses.
I enjoyed the way scripture and biblical concepts are applied to an animal that so many youngsters are fascinated with. I remember drawing horses at that age and believe this devotional would have been an excellent way to bring the Word into my life daily.
Highly recommended.
If we're to become more like Jesus- and the best "us" we can be-we must first understand that life's challenges don't make us who we are. They show who we are. Everyone has troubles. It's what you do with them that really matters.
God uses his creation such as horses to show his love for us. This ultimately reveals his character and how we relate to him and others. This daily devotional will show our need for a savior. How we run from God and how we can run to him. It will also give you an appreciation for horses and those that love them and care for them. With scripture leading the devotion and prayer to end, you will be encouraged. The beautiful pictures will remind you of God's glory. Highly recommend.
A special thank you to Thomas Nelson and Netgalley for the ARC and the opportunity to post a honest review
What a delightful children's devotional!
Unbridled Faith by Cara Whitney is geared towards readers ages 8-12, so it's a great starter devotion for young horse fans who are beginning their journey with the Lord.
Combined with full-color photography of the horses & farm, each devo contains a Scripture Verse, Tale from Cara, and a Prayer prompt for the young reader.
As someone who grew up from a very young age thinking horses were some of the most majestic creatures -
I can say I think this will be a delightful read for children who feel the same.
I highly recommend this book for young readers!

I love this devotional. The author does an excellent job of using horse anecdotes and lessons to deliver meaningful devotions. It is perfect for my daughter! I can't wait to share it with her.
This devotion was very simple to understand for young readers. The pictures of the horses help draw in children who may have a love for horses. The scriptures were short and yet relative o the topic of the day.
This is an unusual devotional in that it is specifically directed to young horse lovers. Each devotion begins with a scripture verse, teaches a lesson related to that scripture and then offers practical advice about applying it to one’s life. This devotional is practical and inspirational, with about ninety different devotions. I was also struck by the beautiful photography of the different horses. It is obvious that the author has spent time around horses and gives them human characteristics, relating their weaknesses and strengths to those that we have. I am not a big horse lover myself, but my grandchildren are and this book would be perfect for the the teens and tweens.
This is a wonderful devotional for anybody who loves horses and wants to draw closer to God. It is well written with beautiful pictures and the devotions are outstanding. I will buy a hardcopy of this book when it releases. I loved it and will read it more than once. Thank you HarperCollins Christian Publishing/Thomas Nelson via NetGalley for the ARC copy of this book. All opinions expressed are my own.
