I enjoyed this historical romance with all of the characters. The two main characters were Honey Farthingale and Thomas Halford, the Earl of Wycke

Honey Farthingale has a secret that if got out would be very bad. With this secret she has decided to not get married ever. But she is the next one that is getting the book of love. She doesn't want this book because everyone that has had the book find love.

Thomas Halford the Earl of Wycke is determined to find out why the young Farthingale keeps run from him. So he comes up with a plan to get her.

This was a fun story to read. It had action, secrets and drama. It also had a few laughs and giggles to.

Another Great book by Meara Platt! I love how she makes you part of the book by getting me emotionally involved with her characters. Reason why she is one of my favorite authors!

I really couldn’t get on with this book and the story. I felt no connection to the characters and couldn’t get very invested in their romance. It took me a long time to read this as it just did not hold my attention at all.

I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book and all opinions are my own

I wasn't a fan of this book. Even in a book that focuses on a romance there needs to be some kind of tension or problem and there was nothing in this book.
Honey (seriously that is not a freaking name) has a SECRET so she will never marry except Tom falls into insta-love with her so her secret means nothing.
There is nothing special about honey or tom. Nothing interesting so there is no real reason they seems to fall for each other hence insta-love.
At least this book was short.

Who can resist one of Meara Platt's Farthingale stories? They are pure enjoyment. Pull up a comfortable chair, pour your favorite drink, and sit back and enjoy. You won't be disappointed.
This is Book 6 in The Book of Love Series and I have enjoyed each and every one of them. Each book can be read as a stand alone, but some characters do cross over in another book.
Thank you Meara for another wonderful story!

The Kiss of Love is the sixth book in The Book of Love series, this time following the romance of Honey Farthingale and Thomas Halford, Earl of Wycke. Honey has a secret, and she knows that as soon as it is revealed, her budding romance with Thomas will be stopped. However, she still finds herself going to his house party, on his insistence, and he won't accept that they can't be together. Thomas has had feelings for Honey from the start of the book, and knows that once she reveals her secret, everything will be okay, but he's coping with his mother's debilitating illness, and hosting guests, both welcome and unwelcome. By reading the 'Book of Love' together, Honey and Thomas start to understand each other just that little bit better, and soon it seems like their happy ever after might just be a possibility.

I hadn't heard of this series before this book became available on NG, nor have I read the other books in it, but I found myself wanting more with this book. I don't know what it was, but I just didn't enjoy it as much as I could've done. When it starts, it's in the middle of a scene, and we have missed a lot of the past between Honey and Thomas, with none of it really being explained at all. Honey and Thomas are alright characters, and their romance is good, but, personally, I found the whole 'Book of Love' plot line a bit of a bore. Also boring, was the whole mean-girl attitude of Lady Sarah, who fully deserved a slap, and honestly, was a horrific person. Her getting her comeuppance was one of the best parts of the book. All in all, an adequate book, but I won't be rushing to read any more from this author.

This is the first book I have read by Meara Platt. I LOVED IT!!! The story is filled with love and compassion, lust and heat and of course the nefarious person. Ms. Platt's writing is unique. I found that the book does not contain fluff or fillers to complete the story. It is the main course all the way. I really enjoyed the main characters Honey and Tom. They both were dealing with heavy burdens in their lives. Somehow, they gave each other hope and peace. I like the way Ms. Platt dealt with Tom's mother's declining health it sounds like it could have been Alzheimer's disease. Ms. Platt wrote realistically with feeling, sensitivity and understanding how it affects the patient and the family members. This is a wonderful emotional and at the same time fun to read book. The dynamic relationship between Honey and Tom made me smile. They playfully teased each other which lightened up the story. This is a must read. You will not be disappointed. I highly recommend it.

Another wonderful book by Ms. Platt. If it has a Farthingale in it, you know it’s going to be a fun story to read.

Honey Farthingale and Thomas Halford, the Earl of Wycke are a perfect couple together. The Book of Love just helped them on their way to realizing it. You get so involved in the story, you won’t realize when you are finished, because you want it to continue on. I highly recommend this to others. You will love it, just as I did.

This book didn't work for me. I found myself skimming threw pages. The characters spoke and acted to modern for a historical romance. There wasn't much drama in the story. I had no problem with the writing just the overall plot was dull.

I enjoyed reading this story about the Book Of Love. This one is about
Thomas Halford, the nineteenth Earl of Wycke and Honey Farthingale.
Tom has invited Honey to spend a few days before his weekend party.
The two realize that they love each other and marry, while other events happen.
I would recommend this story!!

I know this is not the first book so I did feel a little confused at first. All in all this book fell kind of flat with me. I think I wanted too much from it or went in with too high expectations. I just didn't connect with the story or any of the characters. Again, it could very well be personal preference but this just wasn't for me.

This book was a wonderful addition to the series. I had already adored Honey and Tom from the previous books and was excited to read their story. It was perfect! This book had love, humor, and some sadness. It was a well balanced book that flowed smoothly. The characters are all well-written and loveable. Meara Platt is a very talented writer. I have enjoyed all of her books that I have read. This book makes me want to reread this series and the Farthingale series. The excerpt for Holly and Joshua's book has me wanting to read it immediately.

The Kiss of Love is the sixth book in The Book of Love series but can be read as a stand-alone. I haven’t read the entire series, but I always enjoy this author's books. The characters are always so charming, and the Farthingale family is always fun and entertaining! This series is based on a book the cousins are sharing that tells of courtship. They believe that whoever has the book and is reading it will find their true love. This was a fast-paced book to read and full of charm.
Honey Farthingale didn’t want to take the Book of Love when her cousins gave it to her. She just learned something about herself and believes it will make her unmarriageable. She is trying to come to terms with it, but Thomas is too tempting for her to deny.
Thomas Halford, Earl of Wycke, has admired Honey from the time he saw her across the room at a Society event. He has been watching her all Season but can’t figure out why she affects him so much. His mother’s health is fragile, and he decides to have a house party at his estate to help her. He convinces Honey to come and his admiration grew as he watched her assist his mother. Can he convince her to confide in him her secret as to why she won’t marry?

Thank you netgalley for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This was a truly, sweet, no angst romance. Tom and Honey fall in love with each other pretty quickly and do not hide it from each other. Even when Honey reveals her secret it doesn't do much to shake up their love. While I prefer my romances to be slow burn with a bit of angst. Their insta love seemed to have worked for the story.
Overall, well written and entertaining.

The Kiss of Love by Meara Platt is book 6 in The Kiss of Love Series. This is the story of Thomas Halford, Earl of Wycke and Honey Farthingale. I haven't yet read the previous books, so for me this was a standalone book. Thomas's mother has health issue that has created issues within him and his family. Wishing to give his mother some enjoyment he host a house party. This leads him to get closer to Honey who is the only debutante that runs from him. Thomas is highly taken with Honey and he just becomes more smitten with her each day. Honey has learned a devastating secret that makes her settle into becoming a spinster along with settling down to help with her family. But it doesn't stop her from attending one last house party and a chance to enjoy Thomas before taking off to her spinster life. I really enjoyed this book and the handling of each of their secrets.

Sigh. These stories keep getting better and better if that is possible!
A heartwarming, lovely story about Honey Farthingale and Tom Halford, Earl of Wycke. The book of love makes an interesting appearance in this story and ends up being read by Honey and Tom.
Tom had held a house party at his country house with the hope it would help his mother, who had been experiencing dementia. Of course it was not called that then but it was evident she was getting forgetful.
Honey is such a compassionate, beautiful soul, who helps watch out for his mother and Tom is just drawn to her. She is determined to live her life as a spinster because she knows he secret she holds will make her unmarriageable. But she does want to experience a kiss.
Tom cannot figure Honey out. Women love him, mother's stalk him for their daughters and those daughters do everything to get his attention. When Honey asks him for a kiss, he is eager to fullfil her request!
Delightfully charming story that I could only sigh several times as I followed their journey to their happy ever after.

The Earl of Wycke, Thomas Halford, has fallen for Honey Farthingale but he hasn't quite realized it. You always have a fabulously, fun romp when the Farthingale curse and the Book of Love are both involved. Will Honey's tragic secret destroy their chance for love?

Honey Farthingale has sworn off marriage but is very attracted to the Earl of Wycke. When Thomas starts paying attention to Honey she sees no reason why she could Steel a couple of kisses after all it is just a kiss. Thomas Halford has not found a woman that he was interested in. Looking to find someone that is intelligent and interested in more than what to wear to a ball. He finds that in Honey, but she has a secret that she does not trust him enough to tell him. He more Thomas chases the more Honey pulls away. Honey has been fighting her attraction to Thomas and is definitely falling for him. This was such a sweet story. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and the book of love! Definitely recommend reading this book!

Honey Farthingale has convinced herself that she cannot marry, yet when she meets Thomas Halford, the Earl of Wycke, she begins to rethink her life. For Thomas, Honey is like no other woman he has ever met but when she swears that she does not want to marry, he begins to wonder about the secret that lies behind Honey’s decision.
Both Honey and Thomas are two likeable characters whose romance, is instantaneous. The secondary characters also add to this sweet romance, as does the health issues of Thomas’ mother. The story draws in several of the characters from previous stories, adding to the enjoyable romance. I must admit that I times, I found the dialogue between Honey and Thomas, a bit gushy, especially from Thomas.
An enjoyable romance, which at times, could have been a bit less predictable.

Could One Kiss Be Enough?

Honey had a terrible secret, and she swore she would not marry. She wanted just one kiss, but would one kiss be enough? What was Honey’s secret, and would her earl care about it? When Honey decided to accept the earl’s invitation to a house party, she played a dangerous game. Surely, she would lose her heart. She would also expose herself to catty women that did not like to see the earl give her his attention. They would go to any lengths to cause mischief. I enjoyed reading this charming romance. It had some lighthearted moments that made me smile. It also had some moments that made me a bit sad. Thomas’s mother had dementia, and that is never an easy topic to address.
