Love me like you do by Aimee Brown

A well written meet cute book. The main character keep being thrown together after Parker gets jilted at the alter and then runs out. Liam stops her being run over by a car after they keep crossing paths.

A very predictable read and it was really slow going

What a great and refreshing romance! It was full of cute, and to my enjoyment, funny dialogue and scenarios! We follow a runaway bride, who runs (literally) into a handsome stranger with a magnetic accent and a past he wants to escape, after being left at the altar. One thing I loved was how strong the side characters were, they had full, fleshed-out roles within the story, that really added dimension and realistic storytelling. I started y saying refreshing because it didn't follow the typic third act break up drama trope while still having tension and romantic interest.

Overall, I really enjoyed this as a fun summer romance. Plus, George the Dog made a fun addition to a romance story !

I've never read Aimee Brown before Love Me Like You Do, but I certainly will be reading more in the future.

This was an enjoyable and easy read and I liked the premise of the book. Parker and Liam were cute and I liked that we got a duel POV- I think it always makes a romance more believable as we actually know what both of them are thinking.

The author approached mental health issues with sensitivity and I appreciated that too.

This was another amazing book from Aimee Brown. I've loved her previous books and this was no different. I loved Parker and Liam's meet cute after she's jilted at the alter and runs out. I loved how they kept being thrown together. Brown has such a sweet storytelling style. I loved the chemistry between Parker and Liam. I can't wait to see what Brown writes next.

Love Me Like You Do is a very easy book to read.

I loved the title and cover, very cute. Reading is pleasant, but also a little slow in places, which will leave you feeling bittersweet.

This is my first contact with Aimee Brown. I like the way she writes, but I have my reservations. However, overall the experience was positive.

I really liked how the author approached the subject of mental health, it was very sensitive.

I also liked the romance between Liam and Parker, it was very cute but predictable.

If you want to read something light and romantic, you already know what you are going to read next time....

Love Me Like You Do is as charming as the title and the cover proclaim, this is an easy to read, feel-good and incredibly lovable romance, which will leave you feeling all the love. Plus, leave you humming ‘that’ song all day, come on you know which one I am talking about ” love me like you do, lo-lo-love me like you do…..” 😊

This is the first I have read by Aimee Brown, it certainly won’t be the last, I really enjoyed her light-hearted and feel-good writing and I am looking forward to reading more.

I loved the constant nod to Sleepless in Seattle – which has to be one of my favourite rom-com’s, and the particular film really worked alongside Parker and Liam’s romance, plus gave me a reason to watch Sleepless again – any excuse! 😉

I thought the author tackled the subject of Parker’s mother’s mental health with sensitivity and compassion.

I really enjoyed the romance between Liam and Parker, theirs is a stereotypical friend to lovers romance, I have to admit that I am not the biggest fan of this particular trope but I enjoyed their cute love story. The secondary characters were all very likeable, I thought that some could have been fleshed out a bit more than they were, but hey this is all about the romance between the two leads, right?

I found the ending to be a little bit rushed for my liking, it felt it could have been answered to unresolved questions before the abrupt ‘the end’ I think that it should have been given a more substantial ending to what was a sweet and enjoyable story.

Overall, a lovely, feel-good and lazy afternoon story about love, family and friendship, a book that will not only have you watching a firm favourite but also get a ridiculously addictive earworm lodged in your head. Well, go on then “What are you waiting for?….“

Loved this story - so relatable as Aimee Brown's books are. She creates such realistic characters and I championed these ones to the end. A great read.

Omg I loved this story!
I've never read a book by Aimee Brown before and will definitely be reading more if this is anything to go by.
Parker and Liam story just hit me with all the feels. I loved the fairytale elements woven through the story along with the classic film references. Parker is a jilted bride who runs into Liam literally whilst fleeing her wedding. I loved the encounters between the pair there were some hilarious moments and well as some that tugged on the heartstrings.
I adored the storyline and the characters in this book. I would love to know more about Liam and Chris. A cracking story

Love Me Like you do by Aimee Brown is about Parker as she is about the man of her dreams... or is she.... Turns out he is having second thoughts and feels that they should call off the wedding... problem is, all the guests have already arrived and they are suppose to be walking down the aisle as they speak. Mortified by her fiancees sudden bought of cold feet, parker flees the wedding. As she runs from the wedding a good samaritan, Liam, passing buy sees that she is about to get hit by an oncoming vehicle and pushes her out of the way.
After the first awkward meeting, it seems that the fates are determined to throw Parker and Liam together, and they keep bumping into each other in the oddest times and places.
Liam finds himself being more and more drawn to Parker with every meeting and Parker is solidly putting Liam in the friend zone.

I thought that overall the book was very cute, and we finally finds out what happens with Liam from The Lucky Dress. I will say that I did enjoy this book exponentially more than The Lucky Dress. The characters were far more like able and the story was a lot less about self absorbed characters and instead were about people who seemed genuine and real.
The story was a cute, quick read and makes for a good feel good book that you can knock out in no time.

What a cute book! I loved everything about this story - especially the little connections between the characters. The writing flowed smoothly and I felt like I was one of the characters. A relaxing weekend read!

This was good fun and a wicked funny read, I giggled most of the way through and laughed aloud several times. I adored these quirky characters, even the obnoxious ones and I was totally enamoured with the endearing main characters who gave good banter and clever inner musings. Written in a dual POV, the writing was original, witty, insightful, amusing, and sparked sharp visuals that kept me smiling throughout.

A sweet romantic story about finding the person you're meant to be with when your least expecting it. But not realizing they're perfect for you until it's too late. Or is it?
Parker and Liam are well-conceived characters that I enjoyed getting to know. The supporting characters compliment the main charcters perfectly and add just enough to the story to make it entertaining. The storyline was easy to get involved with and follow. Telling the story from both Liam and Parker's point of view gave the story depth and made the story come to life with wonderful visuals from each of their points of view.
I enjoyed this book from beginning to end. It's a classic rom-com that made me laugh numorous times throughout the book. This is not the first book that I've read by Aimee Brown and as long as she continues to write books I will be reading them! I highly recommend this book for a fun escape from the depressing headlines in the world right now.
I am grateful to Netgalley and the publishers for the opportunity to read an ARC of this wonderful book in exchange for a honest review.

The long awaited Liam book!!! I’ve been excited about this book since Aimee said that it was coming and I was so excited to read it! It was absolutely wonderful; exactly what a rom-com should be. A hysterically awful meeting, a great get-to-know-you story, and a HEA. It was awesome to get to know more of Liam, his last, and just “hear his voice” more, and it was fantastic to see him get his HEA.

A good blurb will always draw you in, and the blurb for Love Me Like You Do certainly did that!

Parker finds herself on her wedding day, the happiest day of her life, fleeing the scene. Her life changes in that one moment, as she discovers her fiancee isn't ready to get married - shame he didn't mention it earlier!

Liam finds himself in the right place at the right time, as he manages to save a fleeing bride from serious injury. What he doesn't anticipate is meeting a woman like Parker. Even whilst experiencing her worst ever day, he can't help but find himself entranced by her. Following a number of coincidental meetings, they finally agree to be friends - but will it be enough?

Whilst the blurb definitely sold me this novel, I still didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I did. I loved both Parker and Liam - they were realistic and likeable characters. Both had their flaws, neither trying to be perfect at all. I loved their random meetings, and their interactions not only with each other but with others too.

This was a fab easy-read with believable characters. It is of course a romance novel, but it happens so naturally that it's really enjoyable to read. It's a novel very much centred around family, second chances and love. I am more than happy to recommend this novel to you all. As the evenings draw in and the temperature cools, curl up on the sofa, snuggle under a blanket with a delicious glass of wine and lose yourself in Liam and Parkers story!

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for providing an advanced copy of “Love Me Like You Do” by Aimee Brown. Thoughts and opinions are my own.

This story suffered from everything interesting in the synopsis happening in the first chapter while the rest of the book felt like it was just killing time until the couple got together. The main “conflict” between them was a bit ridiculous as Parker was going to be gone for a whole month on a work trip. It felt a little silly how much the work trip was used as an obstacle. It was seriously just a month.

There were numerous editing issues that hopefully got addressed in the final copy. Words were frequently repeated sentence after sentence. There were also instances of the wrong use of words such as ‘tale’ when the context should have been ‘tail.’ All the editing issues distracted from the story. There were also instances of character names being switched (ex. sisters Parker and Harper). Finally, there was a lot of telling versus showing which distanced me from the story. I wasn’t immersed much after the first chapter.

While I found the family dynamics to be one of the stronger points of this book when it came to Parker’s family, I had a real issue with Liam’s. He cut off his father for good reasons but everyone else ignores this and tries to force them back together. If Liam’s father really wanted forgiveness, he shouldn’t have been stalking and pushing into his son’s life like he did. And then Liam casually drops that not only was his dad an alcoholic but he also beat Liam’s mother. Why would such a bombshell make anyone hope for a mended relationship? A dying asshole is still an asshole.

2/5 stars

My thanks to Victoria Joss from Head of Zeus publishers for a copy of this book via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review in order to take part of the Blog Tour for it.

I gave this a 4 stars or 8/10.

As the life that Parker knew implodes around her on her Wedding Day, finding someone new to fall for is the last thing on her mind. Meet Liam a guest at her Wedding, that becomes more involved in events than he intended.

As Parker comes to terms with what has happened to her, she finds herself drawn to Liam against her better judgement. She shouldn't be falling for someone so soon after the non Wedding to end all non Weddings or should she?

This was a lovely story that is the perfect antidote to take us away from all that is happening around us at the moment, it is pure escapism. Aimee Brown has woven a gentle romance around a chance meeting at a Wedding. It is not every day that the Bride ends up falling for one of the guests.

This was the first story that I have read by this Author and I will look forward to reading others by her in due course. It's well written and I found it an engaging premise, that kept me hooked and wanting to know what happened to Parker and Liam.

I first fell in love with Aimee Brown in 2018 when I read and reviewed The Lucky Dress. However, Love Me Like You Do far surpassed my expectations and love for The Lucky Dress! Why did this sit on my iPad so long waiting to be read?

Sexy Texan Liam is opening his new bar, trying to avoid his father (who wants to re-connect) and basically doing his own thing when Parker runs out of her wedding and is almost hit by a car. Parker has just been told by her fiancé (right before walking down the aisle) that they aren’t right for one another when she barely misses being hit by a car but breaks her wrist and shows Liam her electric blue lace thongs in the process. Thus begins a beautiful friendship with every sign and signal from above you can imagine, except, it takes Parker a while to get on board.

I have two criticisms of this novel and that’s it. First of all, the title doesn’t make any sense to me. After reading the entire novel, I’m not sure what the title has to do with the book, but maybe I missed it. Secondly, the cover. I like the cover but it has absolutely nothing to do with the book. Who is choosing this author’s covers???

Moving on, this is one of my favorite rom-com novels that I have ever read. Liam is great, Parker takes some warming up to as far as a female lead. But what makes this book so wonderful is that it is so damn funny. Everyone’s sense of humor differs, but as far as I am concerned, it was perfect. Specifically, the hot yoga session. I don’t remember the last time a book made me laugh so hard. A second runner-up to that would be any interaction with Parker and her young niece, Evie. Again – completely inappropriate, but hilarious.

All of the characters are wonderful and even as secondary characters, everyone adds to the plot and makes this a wonderful read. My favorite secondary character, however, would be George. I have owned Saint Bernards in my life and everything about George was spot-on! The scenes where Liam would come home and George would come barreling down the hallway brought back so many bittersweet memories!

Love Me Like You Do is not an insta-love romance, but truly a friends-to-lovers romance. But I assure you, it’s worth every bit of the wait. For anyone looking for a sweet and funny escape novel, I promise you that this is the book for you. 5 stars and highly recommended!
