This is a romcom which keeps you interested to the end, because of the dynamic between Parker and Liam, who seem so different at the beginning. I also loved the range of characters who you get to meet, particularly the younger members of the family who are sparky and irreverent. In fact, you get to meet three generations in this book and Parker's Mum is certainly a one off.

Love Me Like You Do has plenty of coincidental meetings and the odd surprise but this all adds to the slightly fairy tale air it has. You get the impression that fate is at work somewhere, although I am sure that Parker wouldn't believe in any such thing. Both Liam and Parker have hidden depths and a back story to make them come alive. This is a great escapist read to while away a weekend.

While the start of the book really caught me and I found I sailed past the 25% mark, why did I then find it so hard to get back into this book which, frankly, wasn't very long at all? It was an okay story, a good romcom, but some of the instances in there (like the ex and what he's up to on the hospital second floor) felt very cliché and coming from out-of-nowhere and a lot of it felt convenient... It's okay for a full-on one-sit read, I suppose. Definitely for fans of frothy romantic comedies

A topsy turvy life has kept me from reading the last month or so. Yesterday when I needed something to relax me, I opened "Love Me Like You Do" and immediately fell into joy. I smiled and laughed my way throughout loving a new take on all our favorite rom com movies. Predictable? Yes! Did I care? No! Living vicariously through Liam, Parker, and the friends and family surrounding them was the perfect antidote to a stressful time. Have fun! Relax and enjoy yourself for a few hours, leaving your cares by the wayside.

A really fun read. The character build up was fantastic and the plot was a little different to ones I’ve read before. Very enjoyable

This is truly a clean rom-com, which isn't easy to find!
While I felt like there was a lot going on in this book, my overall thoughts were this was a quick read, with laugh out loud moments and characters that I genuinely wanted good things to happen to.
"Love Me Like You Do" has family drama, quirky friendships and fun friends to lovers setting. This was my first time reading anything by author Aimee Brow, but I would totally read more of her work.

My Review:

This was good fun and wicked funny, I giggle-snorted most of the way through and laughed aloud several times. I adored these quirky characters, even the obnoxious ones, well, maybe not the exes, but I was totally enamored with the endearing main characters who gave good banter and clever inner musings. Written in a dual POV, the writing was original, irreverently witty, keenly insightful, delightfully amusing, and sparked sharp visuals across my cranium that kept me smirking with glee.

The storylines pulled from several genres including my favorite, women’s fiction, as well as romantic comedy and considerable family drama. I relished every clever word of this engaging tale and am now stalking, coveting, and scheming to amass all her books, past and future. I have a new author to fangirl as she just shot to the top of my favorites list.

This wasn't that great honestly. I just felt that the characters really didn't stand out to me, and I felt the plot just wasn't that interesting at all. It honestly took me a long time to get through it and I just never wanted to pick it up, I mean it was enjoyable at some moments, and it wasn't terrible. It was just a solid book, and honestly highly doubt that would be reading this again, But overall it was decent, it just didn't blow me away. I thought the romance was good, but it was a lot of back and forth between the characters and it felt dragged on, I didn't really get to enjoy them really being a couple very much, because they kept fighting their attraction and it was getting really annoying,

I am disappointed. I was expecting more from this, but all I can see now is just wasted potential.

This was very cheesy, and not in a good way. The female main character is obsessed with fairytale princesses and finding her own Prince Charming, while the male main character thinks that being from Texas is a perfectly good replacement for having an actual personality. These two characters were utterly bland, their romance lacked some kind of spark, there was just no chemistry between them. Really, what they both needed was some therapy, not a new boy- or girlfriend.

The side plot for each main character was also quite heavy for a novel that is being presented as a fluffy little romance with heart. The problems they were dealing with, their exes returning again and again, the lack of depth despite the difficult problems the characters faced, it all worked together to turn what should have been a quick and easy read into a long hard slog.

Love Me Like You Do by Aimee Brown is a wonderful romantic comedy that I loved! Parker is ready to get married on her wedding day, when the groom to be calls off the wedding. Parker runs away in her wedding dress, and into a handsome stranger's arms, who saved her from getting killed. I enjoyed this book so much it was the perfect blend of comedy and romance. Both the main characters were very likable. I will be reading books by this author, and I strongly recommend this book.

My Thoughts :
We meet Parker, after being dumped at the alter by her cheating husband to be Becker, she runs off and has a near miss accident with a car. Her hero of the day comes in the form of Liam, as he helps her to hospital. Although there is an instant atraction there, parker is sworn off men and only wants to be friends. As we delve into Liam’s life we learn more about him and where he comes from. With Parker and Liam bumping into each other everywhere they go they feel its a sign to become more than friends
As Liam’s feeling develop for Parker, can he assure her they can be more than friends and wont hurt her or is she really damaged for good!?.
Although predictable, another good book and great work from Aimee Brown, having been on my Twitter for years, I still do a double take at her being an Author now.
She has some great charactors in the story and lots of funny moments.
Parker and Liam as the lead charactors are just so easy to fall in love with.
Looking forward to the next read.

This is a sweet love story that will make you smile and warm your heart; because who doesn’t want a love without restrictions?
Parker and Liam didn’t meet in a normal way, she was a running bride and he was the who saved her from being run over. From this moment all their meetings are unplanned but with a lot of chemistry, but, are they ready to give their spark a try? Or after so many breaks is it much better to continue alone?
I enjoyed this book since the first moment, the story is refreshing and with funny situations without being too cliché but sweet and real. I think this is a book that will keep popping in your mind again and again, it’s a romantic story, yes, but you could totally understand the characters situation and feel that is something that could happen to you, not a fairy tale that only exists on the movies. For me that’s what makes this book different, the characters are not perfect and you can feel their doubts about starting something new after their relation failures, but at the same time their chemistry is too strong to ignore.
This is a book that any romantic lover will enjoy and the ones that are not so fan of romance will not be disappointed, the story has a happy ending, of course, but the characters will have their path till the ending, because sometimes you have to be happy with yourself before starting a new relationship, don’t you think?
Love Me Like You Do is the book anyone would love to disconnect for a few hours, believe me!

I adored The Lucky Dress and The Last Dance so am so happy to review Love Me Like You Do. Aimee Brown has really done it again by creating a sweet, realistic Runaway Bride story that also has some laugh-out-loud moments just like the Lucky Dress.

When I reviewed The Lucky Dress, it was around the time of my own wedding and now I am reviewing Love Me Like You Do when I have been married for a year and 5 months.

I remember the film Runaway Bride from years ago and thinking as I watched it "I could never abandon my own wedding." Love Me Like You Do, though shows that some weddings just aren't meant to be.

Parker and Liam make a fun pair and the way they meet is kind of predictable (how many people meet in a hospital ER department).

George was a nice addition to Parker's life, I thought. A cute dog is always a winner for me. I liked Parker's friend too.

Overall, Love Me Like You Do is a refreshing, laid back novel for the hard times we are living and certainly made me spend some enjoyable hours.

I feel like the description calling Parker a "runaway bride" is unfair. She didn't run away on her own volition- her fiance told her at the very last minute that they didn't think they could marry her so she left! What else should she have done?! Also, where the hell were her family and bridesmaids when this happened? Yes, it lead to a meet-cute with Liam, but it was odd. Like, why would she even have to go off with this random dude? Her BFF should have been there with her.
This book had some cute moments. I did love the random run-ins between Liam and Parker, especially when she's dressed as Cinderella and they are stuck in traffic. Also, the movie night gone awry was pretty fun.
I didn't feel a lot of chemistry between the two MCs, sadly. Then again, I never felt like there was a very solid description of Liam, so it was hard to picture him. Except his questionable choice in tattoos.
I think there were a lot of loose ends with this book. Things were never truly wrapped up between Liam and his dad. And what about with Parker's mom? Were there any repercussions from the fire?
Overall, this book was just okay. There was really no steam, the character development was lacking, and I just didn't really connect. I would be open to reading something else by this author, but this isn't a book I would recommend to friends.

Pitch-perfect rom-com!

I just loved this novel, the characters are authentic, the story is gorgeous and it won't fail to bring a smile to your face.

Don't be fooled by at first glance this is so much more than a fluffy meet-cute, it deals with topics of mental health and strained family relationships. Brown delivers them touchingly, thoughtfully, and realistically.

It is impossible not to root for Parker & Liam, they are endearing from the start and the humour weaved throughout the story will have you laughing out loud.

It was a delight to read, now can someone make it into a movie, please?

This is the third book by Aimee that I have read and this time we get to meet one of the previous characters again. Liam was also in The Last Dance and he proved to be such a popular character he got his own story this time. It's not necessary to have read the previous book as this is completely standalone story, it's just if you have, you already know he is one of the good guys!

The book begins with Parker fleeing from her wedding and after a near miss with a car seeing a bright light she thinks she's died and gone to heaven. I found the opening sequence to be so funny - and it sets the tone for the rest of the book. Parker certainly has some good lines although she's got some other responsibilities she has to face up to, like dealing with her Mother who is diagnosed as now having dementia when she already has mental health issues. All of the mental health references were really sensitively written.

The one character that truly annoyed me was Becker - he who jilted Parker, and so he really did need to be cast in a bad light, and he totally is. It got so that I couldn't stand to see his name on a page knowing I would have to listen to him and his drivel.

Many references to Parker's fave film Sleepless in Seattle (and one of mine too!) and two girls of the younger generation have all those acronyms that were popular in it. Like thinking Parker and Liam are MFEO. Are they? Well Idk, you will have to read the book to find out......

A nice amusing escapist read - what's not to like?

Aimee Brown is back with another knockout romance. A wedding gone wrong. Chance encounters. Tons of flirting. Competitive mini golf. Truly, Brown has found all the right moments—sometimes tender, sometimes wacky—for an enchanting read.

Parker and Liam are seemingly made for each other. Brown immediately infuses their scenes together with palpable chemistry. There’s a definite connection, even if they’re both hesitant to pursue it, and Brown knows how to deftly build up tension along the way. Both have previous love-related complications that realistically make them cautious about getting serious with someone new. Yet Brown has made it impossible not to root for both of them to find a shared happy ending.

But it’s not all brownies and princess parties.

Brown has no problem exploring serious topics in her books, and her skill for considering complicated topics in a real manner is fully on display here. Some of the side action looks at both mental health and difficult family relationships and these moments are particularly touching. However, the action never becomes too heavy. These characters and their lives, the good and the bad, are fully realized, and Brown knows how to weave in plenty of solid jokes and wickedly funny scenes that feel genuine to their circumstances.

Love Me Like You Do: come for the romance, but stay for the authentic characters, the gorgeous story, and the pure fun.

Parker is reeling from being dumped at the altar when she bumps into Liam for the first time and I felt an instant connection between them.

The story is split between Parker and Liam's points of view. Parker is a kind-hearted ER nurse with a close-knit family and a habit of being in embarrassing situations, usually whenever Liam is around. I really liked how authentically herself Parker was, she didn't make any apologies for loving romantic films and for knowing what she wanted.

Liam has had a tough start to life but despite this is charming and thoughtful. I really enjoyed finding out his past and how it links with the events in the story.

I really enjoyed this fun, whirlwind romance, which I can really imagine on the big screen. I give this 5 out of 5.

This Ebook, which I downloaded onto my Kindle, is just so classically romantic. With all the chivalry a girl needs mixed with a good dose of feminism. Parker is a strong women with a mind of her own but has gotten lost in the security of her long term relationship. She is then ditched at one of the most inappropriate moments of her life, only to tumble into the arms of Liam. Liam appears as a Southern rogue, with a super soft and sensitive side. He is loveable from the get go, but has his complications which just get in the way of where he wants to be in his life.

The Ebook tells the story equally through their eyes, which allows you to really get to know them as characters, which I always love as your are a little more absorbed into their personalities, making you care about what happens to them through the Ebook. The Ebook was easy to read and could probably be picked up and put down with ease, however, I literally could not put this Ebook down, I think I read it in around two days, which with three children meant a sneaky read in the morning with my coffee before they had breakfast and some very very late nights. It was such fun and so well written that it was a total pleasure.

This Ebook had everything I wanted from a love story, and enough other things going on that you weren’t bored. The story not only follows the possible/impossible romance of Parker and Liam, but also tells you their stories as individuals and of the people around them, who are equally as interesting as them. Another interesting little point in the Ebook is the reference to Sleepless in Seattle - it has been a lifetime since I’ve seen this film but I know the feelings it gave me when I watched it. You can kind of tell where Brown has taken her inspiration, and she really has managed to capture the spirit created in these classic love stories. As well as being a great Ebook, I would love to see it as a film! With Josh Duhamel as Liam and Isla Fisher as Parker!
