Unfortunately, this was one of those books that I was so hopeful that I'd love--but it just fell short for me. 

The writing wasn't bad--in fact for the first few chapters I found myself really engrossed. It was just a little bit into the book I found myself not enjoying the story and I got bored. 

This is a case of--others may enjoy it... It just wasn't my cup of tea.

I loved this book, there were times that I laughed so much I’m sure my family think I’m having some sort of giggling midlife crisis, but this is what Mary Jayne baker does best and there are so few authors who have a genuine unedited talent at proper, good-natured, witty Yorkshire humour…..Yes, I may be biased, but my Gawd, it’s so good to actually read a book with tongue in cheek humour I actually understand.

I loved the premise of this ‘The Never have I ever Club’ is something we could all do with having in our lives, how many times have we said ‘Ooh, I’d love to do/see that or go there and we all have a bucket list right? I know mine is a bit random and quite boring eat food, walk around Yorkshire, visit Whitby and more eating especially cake/biscuits. Told you a bit boring. I love that Robyn with Will’s help creates this club where everyone can chare their lists, but as with all great plans along comes a spanner in the works – or two – first Robyn starts falling for her best friend and neighbour, secondly, her ex who also happens to be the twin brother of the guy she is falling for. Bugger!! What is a girl to do? Well read it and find out, my lips are zipped shut – unless you have biscuits 😉

Will and Robyn are a really lovely couple, they are the stereotypical ‘friends to lovers’ I liked how their relationship developed from neighbours and friends to the couple they became. I wasn’t a huge fan of the Robyn and the twin’s triangle that was going on, Will is such a nice guy he won’t step in and actually profess his love, even though his twin brother and Robyn’s cheating childlike ex still wants her – with him he is seeing what is happening between Will and Robyn and it’s a case of he wants whatever his much nicer brother wants.

I do think it was a little longer than it necessarily should have been, the overall story is a pretty short one, and I did think that some parts were dragged out a bit too much, but not enough to make you want to stop reading.

This has some amazingly memorable characters, not only Robyn and Will who have great chemistry, they have a brilliant friendship theirs is one of those friendships where you know it’s for life no matter what form that may eventually be, they click together. I loved the secondary even though I did instantly take against Ash – what a tosser!! I felt like shouting at him to grow up you overgrown child. But apart from him riling me up I loved the interaction between the friends.

The Never Have I Ever Club is a really great read – as I said I personally thought it is a little too long, but just my opinion. I really enjoyed this one though, it’s light-hearted and incredibly fun, it will leave you feeling very happy and cheer up the most stressed-out day.

This is the first book I read from this author but I really enjoyed it. I am looking forward to reading her other books! I enjoyed the characters and it was a fun read.

Hooked on this author and her books. What can I say. I liked this book. Must read. Do it. If you do anything else. Read this book today. Great read and enjoyable.

This was a fun read, albeit a little slow at times. I enjoyed the characters and found myself laughing a lot which is always a good sign in a book. this is my first book by Baker so I'm looking forward to reading more in the future.

This was a wee delight, just what I needed as the weather grows darker and colder in my part of the world. Baker is a new author for me, but I will be seeking out her other work because she can write great characters, favours showing over telling, and the humour shines through. I started off thinking this might have been a bit of a light version of Marian Keyes' "The Break", but Ash running off to Australia to find himself was only really a minor subplot. I loved the club and all its characters, and Will was adorable. Any book that references the "My Lovely Horse" episode of Father Ted is okay by me.

I enjoyed this book, but it did feel a little slow at times. I would have liked to see the club come into the story a little earlier than it did, but it was nevertheless an enjoyable part to the story.

Overall I think the book was a little longer than necessary. It could have been shortened by about 20 per cent, and some of the unnecessary side plots removed.

There were a couple of instances where I didn't love the language and slurs used by some of the characters. I don't think it's a reflection of Mary Jayne's thoughts, but it was still quite uneasy reading for me.

Oh this was sweet. The plot was interesting, though extremely, draggingly slow burn. I don’t mind slow burns but this was extraordinarily slow. I really enjoyed the characters though and the plot was well thought out. Robyn, Will and Ash were fascinating, as well as Freya, Eliot, Felicity and Winnie. I feel like I fell into friendship with all of them which is lovely. I loved the setting and the ending was great, though I wish there was an epilogue because I love epilogues for one-offs.

Robyn Bloom is heartbroken after her boyfriend, Ash, dumps her and runs off to Australia. Months later she’s still struggling to get over Ash and living next door to his identical twin brother, Will, isn’t helping, until she has a brainwave: The Never Have I Ever Club. The purpose of the club is to ‘carpe diem’ and tick off some of those bucket list items. Suddenly the inhabitants of this small Yorkshire village (most of a certain age) are trying burlesque dancing, life drawing and Swedish Massage! However setting up the club and working with her neighbour, Will, makes Robyn realise what she really wants is...Will, which isn’t as easy as it sounds especially now that Ash is home from Australia determined to win Robyn back...

This is a fun story about love, life and seizing the day. I loved the idea of the club and some of the bucket list suggestions were brilliant and hilarious. However for me the book was longer than it needed to be. There were side storylines that just didn’t need to be there and didn’t really add much to the overall story. I would have been more than happy with a story that covered the adventures of the club and the ‘will they, won’t they’ between Robyn, Will and Ash, everything else felt like unnecessary noise.

The Never Have I Ever Club was a fun and romantic story with some important heart warming messages.

A a cute romance with some unexpected moments and some heart warming cross-generational moments too.

I loved the whole premise of the Never Have I Ever Club, and how it brings to together a disparate group of people with a wish to tick things off their bucket lists.

The array of characters and their quick wit had me laughing so loud at some points, I honestly couldn't put it down!

I've tried getting into this book twice now. Although I find the writing voice hilarious (at times), I can't get into it. And I wanted to! Maybe I'll give it a go again. I think you have to be right in the mood to read whatever book it is you're reading. My TBR list a mile high and I want to be swept away...

I'm sorry to say this book was not for me, it was cute and funny. But not all the time, i was lost by the idioms the author used, maybe it was the language? i admit i know nothing about British slang and that issue paired with a very very very long book didn't sit well for me.

Long story short Robyn is getting over her ex, Ash. Problem is his identical twin, Will, lives next door and they have been friends for ages. so it's up to her to rekindle that friendship after the breakup.

then Ash is back in town and his mind is made up to win Robyn back, only she doesn't want to, all she wants to do is hang out with Will, as friends obviously.

so she founds the Never Have I Ever Club, a club for the village people to experience new things. this is where the book gets obnoxiously long and just kind of boring for me.

This is a friends to lovers book, with a twin triangle add-on.. i admit i loved that trope, it wasn't gross or farfetched. i honestly believe some people might enjoy this story, just not me.

Unfortunately, I have not been able to read and review this book.

It’s hard to wrap one’s head around the idea of falling for one twin and then, the other. But other than that, this book was a fun, easy, and funny read, featuring a cast of lovable characters and a well-paced plot. While I liked the absence of long-winding introspective chapters, I did have a bit of trouble following how Robyn and Will’s love for one another bloomed (no pun intended) (Robyn’s family name it Bloom). By now, readers of my reviews know that I love books that sharing something insightful about the human psyche; I didn’t feel anything really was to be taken away from this read other than it was well-written and fun—so a good escape for anyone not really wanting to think (which yes, even I can admit that it’s good, sometimes, not to think).⁠

I am a huge fan of Mary Jayne Baker and couldn't wait to read this book. It was funny witty and charming. The never have I ever club was brilliant and I laughed at some of the antics the characters got up to. A great easy book to read.

This was a good new take on second chances. However, it was hard to connect to the story but I believe a lot of people will enjoy this book.

Robyn Bloom has had some disappointments. She’s not alone. Together with neighbour, Will, the club is born - the Never Have I Ever Club - the bucket list club everyone in the village wants to join. Will romance also blossom for Robyn and Will despite some added complications? Entertaining and engaging romcom with likeable protagonists and a good dose of humour. Very enjoyable.

So this isn’t my typical genre, but I’m trying to give other ones a try. I liked Robyn and her story and it was a quick, fun read

Another absolutely brilliant title from MJB. Exactly the pick me up I needed in these strange times.

I wanted a fun quick read and this book fit that description. There were a lot of funny parts. The storyline itself was a bit predictable.
Robyn Bloom grew up with a tight-knit circle of friends. Dumped by her boyfriend Ash before he moved to Australia, Robyn feels lost and needs something to focus on. After volunteering at a senior center, Robyn gets an idea to form a bucket list club to help out her community along with Will, her childhood friend and neighbor (and also her ex boyfriends twin brother). Just when she starts having feelings for Will, Ash comes home begging for her to take him back.
