I received an e-ARC of this book from Chris Monroe, and Lerner Publishing Group through NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.

This was my first time reading a Monkey with a Tool Belt book and I had no idea this was a Netflix series, so that was cool to learn. This was a cute story about a monkey and his impressively stocked tool belt solving problems everywhere.

My kid and I have been a fan of Chris Monroe's "Monkey with a Tool Belt" series for a long time, and we weren't disappointed with her latest installment, "Monkey with a Tool Belt Blasts Off!" It encourages creativity, resourcefulness, kindness and humor.
Chico Bon Bon, with the help of his friend Clark, are off on another silly adventure, with snack of course. The illustrations and text are engaging and fun, and I really enjoy the almost comicbook style of some of the pages. This story is a great blend of silly, inventive, and witty. Highly recommend this book and series to young kids!

This was first time reading the monkey with a tool belt series. It was cute and engaging for kids. I can see why kids love this series- it seemed to be written at a kids level (in a good way) and followed the same though process of kids.

Even in space snacks are important! And you must be sure to be able to have the machines fixed RIGHT AWAY! This book was too cute. Monkey with a Tool Belt Blasts Off is a fun adventure that lends itself easily as a story time read for a classroom. Silly adventures and an array of characters leave a lot to see and observe within the book itself even outside the story. It is a sweet story and one that lends itself to future adventures with the same characters!

My son is a huge fan of The Monkey with a Toolbelt series and this book did not disappoint. Some of the pages can be a little long winded for younger readers but the illustrations were bright and colorful.

I could not get this book to load onto my Kindle. I hadn't realized the book is based on a TV show. I would probably use it for children at school who might be motivated by tools and the show, but again, I was not able to see anything other than the cover.

Monkeys, elephants, space - trifecta for elementary readers. Chico the monkey heads for the space station to fix their broken malt machine. His friend, Clark the elephant, came along. Multiple varieties of animals work together throughout the story. They discover the problem with the machine is an alien that hid in it when their spaceship broke. Chico fixes it and they send Zootie home.
The text font is small and difficult to read on some pages but the story is true to the odd premises presented.

A comic book styled picture book about Chico Bon Bon and his friend Clark who try to repair the Moon Malt Machine at the space station and meet a cute alien. The illustrations are good.

Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the eARC

In this adventure of Monkey with a Chico Bon Bon and his trusty sidekick, Clark are charged with fixing the Moon Malt Machine on the Space Station. He’s ready for anything, but Chico can’t seem to find out what’s wrong with the machine. All of its parts work okay, and nothing seems to be clogging the machine. After fixing other things and coming back to the machine, WOOSH! Something bursts from the machine and takes off. Chico and Clark must scour the station to find out who or what this thing is and how to get it back to its home, which is definitely not the Moon Malt Machine!

What an adorable book! This was my first experience with Monkey With a Tool Belt, but it certainly will not be my last! I love everything about this cute story, but especially the art. I agree with every character in the book that the alien is the cutest ever! Like a space hedgehog that can fly a ship. I want one. Apparently this is a Netflix series, too?! Going to have the check this one out.

This one is out in August, so keep an eye out and grab it from your favorite, local bookstore or request it at your library.

Super cute story. Monkey with a Tool Belt Blasts Off! has some of the most intricate beautiful illustrations I have ever saw. This book is more of a just for fun type of read but can be used to teach lessons on work, teamwork and also friendship. A few of the pages are a bit wordy and busy but overall I think my students would enjoy this book!

This book was a little hard to follow with the different types of illustrations and speech bubbles. I liked the story line, but it was drawn out and too long for younger readers.

My preschooler laughed out loud at this story! He even made us read it twice in a row. We will be adding this one to our library.

There is an emergency at the Superstar Space Station and Snack bar, the Moon Malt machine is broken... How will the crew function without it? Will Chico, his trusty tool belt, and co-captain Clark save the day or will the community never enjoy a malt again?

My toddler loves watching Chico Bon Bon on Netflix, so when we had the opportunity to read Monkey with a Tool Belt Blasts Off we leaped at the opportunity. Both my toddler and I loved, loved, loved the illustrations. The watercolored inspired feel was vivid, imaginative, and beautiful. The comic book style story was a cute, fun, and easy for my son to follow. I especially love Clark, he’s compassion is enduring and gives the reader the warm fuzzies.

My son immediately asked to read it again, always a sign of a good story. We both highly recommend Chico, Clark, and their friends.

Chico Bon Bon and his aide Clark are on their way to the Snack Bar in their spaceship Banana 5 to fix the galaxy's best Moon Malt Machine. But soon they realize that there is something more than a mechanical problem.

First off, the Illustrations were great. It reminded me of Dav Pilkey's Dog Man and Captain Underpants. Although this one wasn't as humorous as the former, it still managed to keep me hooked. The characters were endearing, the verse was set up well, the author seem to have taken a great creative liberty and the results of it are evident in each page of the book.

My favorite character has to be Clark. While Chico was on serious mode, Clark provided the much needed comic relief. His antics were fun to watch and he is portrayed as a soft hearted soul, which really made my heart melt.

I wish to see more of their adventures in future. They seem to make a good pair. Happy that it turned out to be a wonderful read.
