This is a fun workbook for character drawing help. This book gives details on how to draw Garfield -- that wonderful orange cat -- as well as details on how to draw his friends including Odie. This is a great book for anyone really that wants to learn to draw these characters. You don't need to have drawing skills, but the older and more skills the better, yet with the steps here it does help. The book provides 32 pages and the information is step-by-step with helpful illustrations.

I enjoyed seeing the how to draw of Garfield and his friends. I only attempted one or two. (I'm a lost cause when it comes to drawing) anyone of any age will honestly enjoy this book.

This is a great guide for budding cartoonists and comic fans alike.
Scott Nickel takes a good approach to drawing Garfield and (though he won't admit it) his friends. This is a book for all ages--I could see letting a child use it up to an adult.
It's a lot of fun, and will have you longing for the days when you used to borrow all the Garfield books from the library.

This is a really cool book!! We all love Garfield and are so excited to be able to draw him and all his friends. Very fun addition to our art time!

I think this book already presupposes that you have drawing skills, which many kids and adults do not. I don’t think the steps are broken down enough for the lay person. But I appreciate the effort because Garfield is very very cute!! If a kid is a fan of Garfield and already artistically gifted, s/he would love this. 38 pages so don’t expect a lot of different options.

Garfield's Guide to Drawing the World's Best-Looking Cat is a fun tutorial guide for drawing Garfield and friends. Due out 1st Sept 2020 from Lerner, it's 32 pages and will be available in paperback, library bound edition, and ebook formats.

This is a concise step by step tutorial featuring Garfield and associated characters. Aimed at younger artists, the text is easy to read and the drawing instructions are clear and accessible. The instruction starts with a tutorial of how to draw Garfield's face and head, and progresses through different poses up to composites with multiple characters in one drawing. Many of the drawing pages have finished drawings of Garfield with his snarky running commentary ("Nermal is so cute. I hate cute").

This would make a great selection for school or classroom libraries, as inspiration for a maker group, or a superlative gift for a young artist or reader, possibly bundled with some drawing materials to do their own stories.

As someone who is very much a novice at drawing, I though this book did a great job at showing how to simplify drawing Garfield and friends into simple and achievable steps. I loved the richness of the full color pages and the variety of characters included.

Load up on your lasagna! You will need all that energy as you draw Garfield and his gang with this book. Simple directions, clear layouts, and a few extra drawing challenges make this a great book for beginning artists. Surely great for Garfield fans!

This was a great workbook. My kids and I spent some time tonight drawing Garfield and Odie and it was easily laid out to follow. Definitely a book we will be returning to to work on more of the characters.

This is a fun book. I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised. This book is good for any age and any artistic ability. I give it 4 out of 5 stars and recommend it.

I did not find this book useful at all. The information is not presented in a clear fashion and the small amount of instructions are confusing. There is very little information about actually learning to draw Garfield and friends.

Bottom line: I still can’t draw Garfield or his friends.

This book contains detailed steps and illustrations on how to draw Garfield and his friends. It also contains instructions on how to draw the group in action and, of course, Garfield’s many moods. It’s targeted for the 7-11 age group, but there is no age limit for a Garfield fan.

I think parents and teachers will also find this book useful. Children can create their own fun stories by drawing these characters and adding dialogue to match their moods.
