I’m Jewish but am a sucker for a romantic holiday setting, even if it’s a Christmas setting. This book was cute and although it had a slightly different premise than Christina Lauren’s usual books, it still was very much their style. The main character bothered me a bit, but grew on me by the end. Some events were a little implausible, but it ultimately all worked and made for a fun, fast read that made me think about some of the ways I approach my life.

Christina Lauren has done it again! This book was described as Groundhog Day mixed with The Family Stone and that is the perfect description. It was such a cute little Christmas romcom. Set in idyllic Park City, it was filled with everything you'd want to do during the holidays including snow ball fights, shopping, games nights and of course falling in love with the guy you've been in love with since you were 13.

Ok, now I know why Cristina Lauren is the Queen of romance. I just finished this book and I already want to reread it..

While its not your typical romance, it was SO good! The main character, Mae, was awkward and flawed but also strong-willed and sassy. The romance was top-notch. The groundhog day aspect added a sense of urgency and recklessness to the story - which I thought was awesome. The setting was so well incorporated; I wish I read this book in December with a steaming hot chocolate. (New plan: reread in December after it comes out and I can buy it!!)

Seriously, such a fun read.

Thank you so much to Netgalley and the Publisher for an eARC!!

Like every Christmas, family friends meet to celebrate the holidays at their Park City, Utah mountain home. But unlike every other Christmas, Mae gets caught in a Groundhog Day-like cycle. To get out, she must take charge of her life to have happiness. Namely, this means acting of her 13-year crush on Andrew. Can their romance last when their start actually had three chances? Or will it all blow up in Mae’s face.

The romance in Holidaze is just as good as any other Christina Lauren story. What I dislike about it is purely preference. I don’t like when something magical happens inexplicably. In Holidaze, it’s the granting of Mae’s offhand wish and the Groundhog Day-like loop. If it’s going to be fantasy, give me fantasy; if it’s realistic fiction, give me realistic fiction. Don’t give me this in-between stuff.

In a Holidaze (Kindle) by Christina Lauren..... What a fun "Ground Hog's Day" story. This is full of fun characters, laughs, some tears, combined family fun at Christmas...and a great love story with a HEA.

I was given E-book in exchange for a review by NetGalley.

In a Holidaze by Christina Lauren takes sci-fi and romance together in a clever way. The story centers around Maelyn Jones, her family and family friends always spend Christmas at the cabin but on her way back home, she brings to think about how she’s still stuck in a job she hates, crushing on her best friend’s brother Andrew.

She pleas to the universe to show her what will make her happy and by her pleas, she ends up reliving Christmas week until she gets it right. It is funny, sweet and cute and if you like Christmas books with humor and a some science fiction in the mix, I think you’ll enjoy this book and watching Andrew and Mae get a second chance to get it right and develop into a sweet relationship filled with banter, humor and chemistry? Adorable!

Mae is stuck reliving Christmas week until she gets it right and while it is cute, she is a bit of mess but I like that she gets it together at the end. However the conflict was resolved as fast as it happened? Felt like it could’ve been done a bit better but it is a cute Christmas romance book and it’s got the classic happy ending so I’m sure Christina Lauren fans will love it.

One complaint is that the ebook had some formatting issues because the beginning of each other was a bit off and some letters had different colors but I think that’s just a technical issue on the ebooks.

absolutely loved it! This is the second novel I've read by this author and I loved it just as much as the first book I read!
So Mae had a terrible moment of drunkenness and made out with her long time family friend Theo. When it blows up on her kinda when her and her family are heading back home after Christmas they are in a wreck and then Mae starts her Christmas Holiday over again for the second time. And then a third time. She is trying to relive her Christmas over and over but she's also trying to fix everything. And she is eventually guided and confessed her feelings to Andrew her crush since she was 13 years old. The story and the characters are great! I absolutely loved it. There was light hearted humor, with laugh out loud humor and also tender moments where you feel for the characters. There were the AWW moments and filled full of love! I love the story and the ending was the cherry on top! Definitely recommend!!

What happens when you wish something would never end? That is what Maelyn Jones is about to discover. For her entire life, Mae and her family have been spending Christmases with a couple of other families at a delightful Christmas cabin in Utah. Mae knows that this will be the last holiday that they will spend together. And for a book that is said to be Love Actually meets Groundhog Day, Mae’s wish is that this holiday vacation continue to occur year after year.

Mae’s simple wish leads to a sudden car crash as she is driving away from the cabin. She blacks out. Next thing Mae knows, she is back on the airplane headed to Utah - only to repeat the same holiday week time and again. Truthfully, Mae would rather forget one very specific event of said week, a disastrous kiss that shakes the foundation of perfect memories.

Unfortunately for Mae, as she is destined to repeat the same fiasco over and over again, she is determined to break this continual loop that is beginning to drive her crazy. While trying to figure out why a simple wish would land her in a time traveling loop, Mae is also realizes that keeping conversations straight is rather dizzying in the varying timelines.

With a mix of drama and humor, along with a rather Hallmark-like romance, have fun suspending belief as I did in this delightful book by the prolific duo that is none other than Christina Lauren.

Many thanks to Gallery Books and to NetGalley for this ARC for review. This is my honest opinion.

This holiday book is full of wonderful characters and great friendship. The main character Mae grew up with Andrew and Theo, sons of her parent’s best friend. Mae had a crush on Andrew since she was a teenager but everyone, even Andrew, thought that she was in love with Theo, the younger brother. Mae finally worked up the courage to tell Andrew how she felt and unfortunately for Mae, he did not immediately feel that way. Will Mae and Andrew’s friendship survive?

I enjoy the story; it is full of friendship and warmth. The book reminds me of “Love and Other Words” my favorite Christina Lauren book. I read this book on June 7, 2020. It was refreshing to tune out the chaos and heart break happening around the world for just a moment and reading this book helps. Thank you NetGalley and Gallery Book for this ARC. I look forward to posting my reviews on various sites and purchasing this book upon publication to add to my Christina Lauren’s Kindle collection

In A Holidaze by Christina Lauren is an excellent, entertaining, and creative holiday romance that kept me entertained from beginning to end. I have read several books from this awesome author duo and have enjoyed every one. This book did not disappoint. It can be sometimes hard to create a holiday-themed novel without taking it to the tacky route, and this book definitely kept the Christmas theme fresh, enjoyable, festive, and welcoming.

I enjoyed the concept of "Groundhog Day" added into the romance plot, and felt that it added a nice level of complexity to the light, romantic read. I enjoyed Mae and felt empathy for her troubles in life. I enjoyed her personality and her growth throughout her "unique" experiences. I appreciated the chemistry and also the secondary cast of family and characters. I also truly enjoyed the wonderful ending.

This wonderful romantic, comedic, snowy, and fun novel has most certainly placed me into the Holiday spirit. A wonderful addition to an excellent author portfolio. I look forward to additional books from this amazing double duo!

I am a huge Christina Lauren fan and I was so happy to get a copy of this arc via netgalley for review! It isn’t your typical book by them, but I loved it anyway. Think Groundhog Day meets hallmark movie. Boom- all the feels!!! I kept waiting for the shoe to drop, or an explanation of some sort, but we don’t get one. You draw your own conclusions and of course a HEA.

I am a huge Christina Lauren fan and this book did not disappoint. It was as if Unhoneymooners and Love and Other Words were combined into a beautiful holiday romance.

I'd recommend this book if you're looking for

-best friend's older brother
-elements of a second chance romance
-Groundhog Day time loops
-a beautiful cabin and holiday adventures
-Slow burn tension

This book made me wish it was Christmas and I could wrap myself up in a blanket with a cup of hot chocolate and read it. It takes you right to that holiday feeling. All of the supporting characters are fun. The book will have you on the edge of your seat with the time loop element and wondering if Mae will get her happy ending. I was laughing out loud throughout, unable to put it down. I loved Andrew so much. Couldn't recommend this one more!

Y’all! This book was not what I was expecting. It’s different from other books out there. A sweet story with a side of romance.

I’ve never read a book like this. Seen tv and movies like it but never read anything before.

I was a little confused at first and even though she clarified the ages I still felt like I was reading people in college for most of the story.

I enjoyed all the characters in this book! I wish we could have had more interaction from the characters because at times it was very wordy with internal dialogue and did have me questioning where the connection came from.

I thought this book was going to go one way but I was wrong. I like how everything came together at the end.

Not my favorite Christina Lauren but I liked it better than their previous book. The story felt a bit rushed, like there should have been more trials for Mae before settling in but I enjoyed the vibe the characters had.
