Crazy Stupid Bromance is a fun continuation of the Bromance Book Club series. If you read the other books, definitely pick this one up. We learn more about Noah, the hactivist we met in Undercover Bromance. We also get a peak at how Mack and Liv's wedding planning is going.

While these aren't my favorite contemporary romance books, they have a huge following so give them a try. For me the "lessons/morals" are just a bit too front and center which I get is kind of the point of these books. That said I know the author is working on additional books and I like the characters enough that I'll totally pick up the next one.

Thank you to Berkely Publishing, Berkely Romance, Netgalley, and the Bookish Ladies Club for the advanced electronic copy.

I love this addition to the series. I also like how Lyssa always brings back her other characters from earlier in the series, so you get to feel like you're journey along with the other characters we have all previously loved! I was really hoping that we would get a story with Alexis and see how life has changed for the better and what better man to pair her with than Noah! Great book all around, excited to see it on our shelves and in the hands of readers!

Love this friends to lovers romance! The characters are so fun, and the plot moves seamlessly with the story. There’s just enough angst, steam, charm, and humor to make this the perfect rom com for a variety of readers. This author continues to impress me with this series! Looking forward to the next book!

This is a really difficult book for me to review. Each third of the book had me feeling a different way, and each feeling was very drastic.

I went back and forth on the rating and I’m going to stick with a 3 ⭐️ which to me means, it’s good

Near the end of the book is when I had an epiphany and realized why I wasn’t loving this as much as I thought I would - it doesn’t fit in with the series and would have been better as a novella between books 2 and 3. It deviates from the pattern of the first two books far too much - there is barely any book club nor bromance! A lot of the story felt trite and mundane.

Don’t get me wrong, parts of Bromance Book Club were great! But there weren’t enough of those great chapters to outweigh the meh parts for me. The parts with the men of the bromance book club are what bring the laughs and the familiarity to this series and it is what keeps me coming back.

There was a great deal more of steam in this book then in the previous two. I did feel like the steamy sections were a bit forced and over the top- but that’s just me. It was difficult for me to keep in mind that the character’s name was Alexis but was also referred to as Lexa. The names were used quite interchangeably and that made it confusing because it seemed like they were two different people.

I wish there was more focus on building up and forming the main relationship because that part was way too easy and seemed cheesy.

There were a few things that annoyed me due to their overuse in the story: the term “padded” as in “she padded down the hall,” Candi repeatedly chewing her lip- how does the girl have anything left?, and the amount of times the women would “hug their torso.”

The parts where the whole bromance book club group were together were amazing, however! The Russian and his love for grand gestures will always bring a smile to my face.

Beginning: I’m glad to have updates on the characters from the 2nd book but I was really not attaching to the new main characters since both were very minor characters in the previous novel. I did not care for the main plot line of the long lost father appearing but also he needs a kidney. I’ve never been a fan of this particular trope so I wasn’t thrilled to see if being the main source of conflict for this story.

Middle: The storyline I didn’t care for took a back seat and we are now more into the “bromance bookclub” world! They were reading the book, discussing topics like toxic masculinity and feminism like the bosses that are, and they are showcasing their bromance! The relationship then progresses and I was there for it! But it did get a bit too steamy for me and felt a little bit too forced like the section needed to check off the “top hot to handle steam” section. But overall the ~romance~ was happening and I was finally invested in the characters!

End: Anddd great. At around 80% in the book, we are now back to the annoying storyline from the beginning that I didn’t care for. The bromance isn’t happening. There is no book club! The review I started writing while in the second section has to be scrapped because I no longer feel those ways!

I realize this review is incredibly too long and no one will probably read it, but if someone is reading it please know that I do like this author and I hope the next book gets back on track to the core of the series.

Overall, I found Crazy Stupid Bromance a fun and light read. I read the first book in the series, but must have missed when the second came out, so I jumped into this third installment without any background from the second. The Bromance Book Club itself and scenes where the club comes together are my favorite parts - their relationships and support of each other runs both heartwarming and hilarious. I did like how the friends-to-lovers romance plotline progressed between Noah and Alexis. Alexis had some really naive and slightly annoying moments though when it came to the surrounding family dynamic plot. I also found Noah's alternating usage of 'Alexis' and her nickname 'Lexa' distracting and making little sense.

I liked this book just like I liked the other books in the series. The two main characters were interesting and I liked that it didn’t drag out their initial getting together. Overall it was a fun read.

Not my favorite in the series. I think book one was definitely stronger. However, the banter and chemistry between the characters are top notch and deserves a mention.

Noah and Alexis are best friends....that’s it. Even though all their friends see the obvious signs of love in the air.

When Candi walks into Alexis’s cafe and claims to be her sister needing Alexis to donate a kidney to their father whom Alexis has never met- Noah goes on high alert and protective mode. His best friend doesn’t need more drama or pain in her life.

The Bromance Book Club jumps in to show Noah how to be there for Alexis as more than a friend. The question is... Can he tell the truth and risk the best friendship of his life?

Crazy Stupid Bromance by Lyssa Kay Adams is the 3rd book in her fun Bromance Book Club series. I enjoyed the first two books in this series, and I thought Crazy Stupid Bromance was equally as much fun and possibly better. This is always a fun series to read, as it centers around a male book club group of mostly athletes, and how they discuss romance novels and teach their buddies how to handle women with care and love.

Alexis Carlisle, our heroine, has opened a successful café, ToeBeans, which not only serves good food, but Alexis makes sure to offer help to people who need it, as well as having cats. You will certainly fall in love with Beefcake, Alexis’s loving cat, except for when there is a man in the house. No purring, but pure torture. Lol When her friend, Noah is in Alexis place, playing games or watching tv, Beefcake always manages to torture him.

Noah Logan, our hero, is Alexis’s best friend. They both enjoy each other’s company, and their friendship; neither of them wants to ruin things with adding any benefits. Noah gets pressured by his book club friends, who try to push him to read a book, to learn how to get Alexis to recognize their true feelings.
This story centers on both Alexis and Noah, and a surprise shock, when Alexis gets a visitor to her café. Turns out the visitor is an unknown half-sister, that Alexis did not know about, as well as learning that the sister has a father, who happens to be Alexis’s father, whom she never knew. Alexis immediately learns the truth; her father is dying and needs a kidney transplant. Can Alexis be a match? If so, would she consider giving one of her kidneys to a man she never knew?

I loved Noah and Alexis together. They were so good, as friends, and eventually as lovers. The best part of the story is always the guys, who try to teach Noah how to seduce her and let her know his feelings. The purpose is for each of them to keep their relationships with their wives/girlfriends strong and healthy. They are all a funny and great group of Hunks and the spa was a riot. With Mack and Liv’s (previous book couple) wedding upcoming, Mack pushes all the guys to learn how to dance and perform like the women do, but this time it will be the men. Lots of laughs and fun.

What follows is a fun, as well as serious story line, with a great couple that we loved from the start. Both Noah and Alexis have their own family issues from the past, but Alexis had it harder, having never heard about her father, and his family; though when her mother died a few years ago, she did try to use DNA to find him. This was a good part of the serious story, with her father, and his family that was also shocked, as only the half-sister found Alexis and kept it a secret until she brought her to meet the family. It was difficult for all, but Alexis rises up.

Crazy Stupid Bromance was humorous, fun, romantic, with a great couple and fabulous Alpha men that had me laughing often. Lyssa Kay Adams did a wonderful job writing this fun story, which you need to read. I know I will be waiting for the next book in this series.

This might be my favorite book in the BROMANCE BOOK CLUB series to date! I am a sucker for the friends-to-lovers trope, and I love how it's deployed in CRAZY STUPID BROMANCE. I fell hard for Alexis and Noah's relationship; their friendship was a beautiful, solid thing -- and seeing them fall in love and build something more together was swoon-worthy and magical.

And of course, the Bromance Book Club dudes were out in fine form. The guys are as hilarious as ever, both woke and still utterly clueless in some ways. I loved their support for Noah. I also appreciated that this book returned to including excerpts from the fictional book-within-a-book that the guys give Noah to read (a feature I felt was sorely missing from the second book in this series).

Lyssa Kay Adams has done it again! I have loved this series from the first book but, this is now my favorite of the series! Alexis and Noah are two people with difficult pasts who are the best of friends, and have been denying their romantic feelings for each other. While this is definitely a romance, this novel also astutely handles topics of identity, family, and loss. The result is a sweet, sexy, and emotional read.

LOVED THIS BOOK. I admit it was a bit mushy for me in some parts but I just couldn’t help but love Alexis and Noah . This book took me on an emotional roller coated from laughs to feeling hot and bothers then ending the book in tears. This series is a must read it just keeps getting better!

While I’ve been a fan of this series from the start, this is definitely my favorite so far, no question! I don’t know if it’s because I’ve grown more attached to the gang or what, but I was fully invested in this one almost immediately and had the best time reading this. I mean, you have a group of macho men who read romance novels together in order to woo and understand their women better and they’re actively working on their own toxic masculinity, BIG SWOON! On top of that this one is hilarious, sweet, sexy and fun. Read it if you like fun.

Noah and Alexis are friends turned lovers and I adore that trope, probably because that’s exactly what happened between me and my husband, but I digress. It’s clear immediately that these two need to get together already, but seeing them fumble through before they found their footing was half of the fun. There’s a great mix of tenderness and heat between them and I loved every second of their journey to romance. Meanwhile, Mack is planning his wedding and Liv is hands off letting him go full on Bridezilla and between him freaking out over the wedding and making the book club help with everything from seating charts to flowers and the Russian in general I was cackling so hard I had actual tears. This series is everything I could want in a romance and more, now I’m just sad I have to wait for another book! If you’ve been sleeping on this series, get it together cause you’re missing out!

Noah and Alexis’s story is adorable, and anything Lyssa Kay Adam’s writes is wonderful. I love this series concept of guys reading romance novels!

Alexis is discovering some long lost family members with her best friend(zoned) Noah, a hacktivist. As she tries to navigate this new family, Noah has some secrets of his own he should be spilling to Alexis.

I though this was a super cute book, but compared to The Bromance Book Club and Undercover Bromance it fell flat. There wasn’t as much in the plot for me and I wasn’t as entranced with Noah and Alexis’s story. If it wasn’t the third book in a series it would be great, but it’s got some harsh competition with Books one and two!

My six word review:
Just some best friends to lovers

I loved the friends to lovers aspects of this book. I really believed that Noah and Lexa cared for each other. But in all honesty, the third act shakeup did not make sense to me, It felt as if the conflict was only put there just to keep the couple apart in the third act. I wish there was more detail in the mental journeys that both of them took.

Answer these questions: What makes this book different from all others? And why should anyone care?
Give enough info about the plot of a novel or the facts in a nonfiction book that they have a context for your opinions. Don’t give so much that your post turns into a book report instead of a review. And no spoilers! Be fair to your fellow readers.
Whenever possible, put the good things about a book or author up front.
Criticize the book, not the author, if you don’t like what you’ve read. Explain why.

I loved the first two Bromance Books, so was thoroughly expecting to enjoy this one and was not disappointed. Friends-to-lovers is a great trope, and one that seems so easy to happen in real life. Noah was very protective of Alexis, and was always looking out for her best interest. When Alexis got in her own way for the sake of helping someone else, this caused a very believable conflict between the two of them. I loved Alexis as a character because she was a strong feminist building a place for women to feel safe, and we all know how much we need people like this in our lives.

Many times throughout the book, I found myself laughing out loud. Lyssa has a real knack for dialogue, and the characters she has created are hilarious in all the best ways.

I liked the references to the previous books, and would have loved to see more of Gavin and Thea as well as Mack and Liv, but there's just enough about them to get to Noah and Alexis's story. The hints throughout about whether or not The Russian even had a wife were entertaining and a great preamble to the next book in the series.

In the Bromance Book Club world, we get to see a loveable mix of offbeat men who aren't afraid to get in touch with their feminine side, and the wonderful things that happen when they do. Each book has been a not so subtle nod to feminist ideals, and the heroes by the end of each book are the type of men we'd like to have more of in our lives. I'd totally date them.

Can't wait for the next one!

In the past...4.5 hours it has taken me to read this book, I have done the following: laugh, cried, gasped, had revelations, and cried (again). I think this is my new favorite of the series, mainly because I have a weak spot for best friends to lovers and this was done beautifully. Highly recommend if you've read the others - the other guys make appearances in this one, but not as much as the other two I feel. Just a note!

I loved this book and love this series. It's the ultimate feminist hetero fantasy: a group of hot, rich, feminist men who are willing to do the work on themselves so that women don't have to? I just wish it were real. Very swoony. This may have been my favorite entry in the series, and I hope there's more to come!

The Bromance Book Club series delivers its third volume with Crazy Stupid Bromance, a best friends-to-lovers, hacktivist-meets-cat-loving café-owner romance.

Computer security technician and ex-teen hacktivist Noah Logan is trying to be the best man possible for his friend Mack (hero of the previous in the series, Undercover Bromance), but the interminable number of wedding activities he’s been subjected to – including being forced to learn an interpretative dance for the ceremony  – is pushing his patience to the breaking point. He’s equally resistant to the notion of being enlisted in the Bromance Book Club, though all of his friends swear by it.

Noah’s best friend, Alexis Carlisle, runs the Toe Beans Cat Café and is trying to cope with the international press attention she’s getting after being one of dozens of women who accused celebrity chef Royce Preston of sexual harassment.  The fame has gotten the café some notoriety, and when she notices a sad-looking customer coming into the café, the social Alexis approaches her and tries to engage her in a conversation. She gets a shock when the customer, who introduces herself as Candi, explains they are half-sisters, and their father – who abandoned Alexis when she was a baby – will die without a new kidney.

Cue Noah stepping in, concerned that Alexis’ biological father Elliott Vanderpool might be trying to take advantage of her.  When Alexis asks Noah to dig into Vanderpool’s past, he discovers that his company is an enormously wealthy defense contractor whose negligence resulted in the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Iraqi civilians.  He also finds out that Vanderpool was engaged to another woman – the mother of his other children – while he was involved with Alexis’ mother. Noah’s hacktivist side is back with a vengeance, but he has an even deeper secret.

For Noah wants nothing more than to convince his BFF that they belong together. Some things cannot be found in coding and wires.  Bromance Book Club to the rescue!

Crazy Stupid Bromance is a very cute story with a soap opera subplot that doesn’t really work all that well amidst the froth.  But the warm relationship between Noah and Alexis pulls the book through.

Alexis is the best.  No doormat but also not the least bit wicked, it’d be easy to reduce a character like her to her victimhood status, but she bounces back, alive and sassy, and Noah, the introverted computer geek who just kinda wants to be alone with his girl, is a great hero because he’d do absolutely anything for Alexis.

His love for Alexis and vice-versa feels so real that one senses that, even if the romance didn’t work out, they’d still be best friends.  Their bond is moving, sensual and compelling.

There are a lot of great secondary characters – chief among them, besides the other members of the BBC, are Beefcake, Alexis’ ginormous cat, who HATES Noah and it’s kind of hilarious.  Candi is super sympathetic as well.

The biggest problem I had with the book is that the whole kidney transplant plot – with its billionaire dad and dramatic affair and attendant silliness – feels extremely outré when placed against the much quieter and smaller romance happening in the main part of the novel.  Without it, the simple story of Alexis’ sexual harassment plot and the Noah’s wooing of Alexis would have been enough of a storyline.

But that isn’t quite enough to put a dent in my recommendation.  Crazy Stupid Bromance works as a romance, and in that it is pretty successful.

This was a cute installment of the Bromance Book Club series, focusing on bakery owner Alexis and reformed hacktivist Noah.
This story seemed to have more external conflict than the previous ones and I found myself actually quite angry at the hero/ine's extended families. That did dampen the buzz of the romance a bit, which was sweet and somewhat uneventful.
