I cannot express my gratitude to @berkleypub for the free book.
If you read the series, you get to be a part of the beginning of Noah and Alexis' relationship. From their first meeting, you could instantly tell there was more to their story. And I have been dying for this friends-to-more trope and man it did not disappoint.
Throughout the second book, Noah was a mystery I wanted to get to know more about. There was much more to his character and I was beyond ecstatic that he was getting his own book and I would be getting inside his head and his heart. Noah is a gruff and standoffish guy who has a hard time expressing himself and finds the notions of the book club ridiculous on the surface, but deep down he knows the validity and value of each member including the Russian.
The way the author writes, even though how grim the storyline was, there is a realism in the characters emotions that makes the situations relatable. Alexis has been through two very traumatizing scenarios, but as the reader you feel as if you are right there with her holding her through each difficulty. The closeness you feel to the character is a testimony to how well Lyssa writes. To see Alexis journey have strength and a voice to women who have been in her shoes.
Noah and Alexis' relationship and connection was everything. I’ve never read two people who were perfectly written for each other. They complement one another, are completely honest, comfortable, and real. Both Alexis and Noah have emotional pasts that neither one had even begun to process. I enjoyed the way this story was more focused on the personal growth for each character rather than the relationship between them. They have already built and grown this wonderful foundation between them, but couldn’t flourish in a relationship until they had dealt with the baggage from their past. It was an emotional take on one of my favorite tropes that I didn’t see coming and it made the story so much more than a romance.
The author is able to provide the humorous scene, like guys trying to navigate the process of a simple massage, but the depth and reflection of emotion she investigates with each character’s journey made this an interesting read. And the role that each side character plays to help Alexis and Noah was so well done
How does Mack get better with each book? He brought the perfect amount of humor while also being the best person for advice. He supported Noah and helped him by breaking down his stereotypical ideals of love and the preconceived notions on how to “be a man” and instead showed Noah how to be a good man.
I love how this book breaks down the stigma with romance novels. There’s more to them than a happily ever after. They make you think deeper about your own actions and reevaluate your emotional health. The author had a way to articulate emotions through her words that made a vivid imagery that immerse the reader into the life of Noah and Alexis.
There is something special when you fall in love with your best friend. There is a familiarity with that person and they truly are the person that knows you best, but at the same times there’s more to discover. The author does a fantastic job capturing what it’s like to fall for someone who has your heart but doesn’t know it and the internal struggles and doubts a person goes through when deciding to cross that line.
This book exceeded all of my expectations. It was heartbreaking while being one of the funnest books I have read. Thank you so much to @berkleypub for the free book and to @netgalley and @bookishladiesclub.
Unfortunately I chose not to finish this one. The story line was dragging and while I’m sure the steam picked up I got 40% through and I wasn’t working for me.
One of my favourite tropes is the friends-to-lovers trope and this one was just *chef's kiss*. Noah and Alexis' platonic relationship was basically on borrowed time when both were so clearly infatuated with the other. Both, while very interested in the other, were worried about ruining the amazing friendship they had built and would rather not risk it in fear of losing it completely. Except, as we all know, we're going to risk it whether we like it or not.
And wow oh wow did I like this one. Another wonderful addition to the series I continue to love, this one just as good as the ones that came before it. I can't wait until I see this one hit the shelves.
I NEED MORE OF THE RUSSIAN!!!
This is the third book is the bromance book club series and it is just as good as the other two books in the series. I will be purchasing this for my library and will recommend it patrons.
It is the same cast of characters as the first two books plus some new faces. This time the romance is between Alexis and Noah.
Honestly, I hope there is a fourth book and more to come! I love this group of friends!
This is least favorite book in the series thus far. I was really looking forward to getting to know this circle of friends more, but the main characters and their relationship arc just weren't as satisfying as book 1.
What’re friends for? Alexis Carlisle and Noah Logan have been developing a friendship over the past year. Both supporting each other in their professional and personal lives, that is until Alexis gets an unexpected visitor that will change their relationship. Luckily, Noah has a group of male friends who finally allow him to join the Bromance Book Club and help sort his feelings for Alexis. In the third book of the Bromance Book Series, fans will enjoy this friend to lover story. Adams creates a series that will make chick lit lovers scream for more.
Crazy Stupid Bromance was really sweet, but I felt like I was missing something the entire time and came to discover this was the second (third?) in the series. I really liked how the author infused feminist values into the story in a natural (non preachy) way, and normalized the sexual assault of a main character (happened before the book's story takes place). I wish I had read the previous books in the series before this one as I think I would have felt the characters had more depth, but I fully intend on remedying that!
I was SO EXCITED when I got approved to read Crazy Stupid Bromance. I loved the first 2 books, so I know I would love this too! Alexis and Noah are the cutest best friends, I love their relationship so much. You can tell they have both been through a lot and having each other is exactly what they need. I feel like they both know they have more than friend feelings for one another but are both afraid to ruin anything! I cannot wait to read the rest of this series! It’s one of my favorites and I always recommend these books!!!
Whelp, Lyssa Kay Adams did it again. The Bromance series is one of the most fun, sexy series out there that is also just chock full of heart. Noah and Alexis's journey from friends to lovers was pitch perfect. These books are the antidote to toxic masculinity.
One of my new favorite Rom-Com series has done it again. Crazy Stupid Bromance gave me so much more than just a laugh. Lyssa Kay Adams gave us laughs and some tears with this one.
Noah and Alexis are besties...like - text each other when they wake up and go to bed besties. They have this relationship that just works. They are always there for each other, no matter what. Only one problem? They are both in love with each other and the other doesn't know. They value their friendship so much that the thought of more is just too scary.
Watching these two find more was absolutely heartwarming. And very funny at times too. All the Bromance Book Club boys are still in attendance and most of my laughs came when the boys were together.
Keep them coming Lyssa Kay Adams because I can't get enough!
I love this series so much! I think the bromance bookclub series is perfect for readers who need a great laugh but also a heart warming story. I wish this book had more bookclub features but I still loved the friends to lovers aspect.
Let’s just take a moment to appreciate the cover. I love it! The cat is just so adorable I want to snuggle it! Out of the covers, this one is my favorite.
I was really excited to continue on with this series. I was pleasantly surprised by the first book and even the second book had me hooked. This one was good in it’s own way but it was my least favorite and I didn’t enjoy it as much as the other two.
This book follows Alexis and Noah and their relationship from friends-to-lovers. This trope isn’t a favorite but I liked how close they were as friends. Each one would do anything for the other. When others didn’t understand their dynamic, they didn’t make much of it. They knew how important it was to be together even if that meant staying friends just in case the other didn’t feel the same.
I will say that they aren’t my favorite couple in the series and it may be because they just weren’t two of my favorite characters. I do remember Alexis from the second book but I actually don’t remember much about Noah. Where as with Gavin I could relate because he was married and Mack is just so lovable!
When it comes to the plot, there is a lot going on. An angry shop owner, organ transplants, figuring out the past, and finding the courage to make the next step. There is plenty of drama from all of them! Some were done better than others. One didn’t really have a conclusion and I wanted to know what the verdict was.
Since this is a part of the Bromance Book Club many old characters are still a part of the plot. I liked seeing them once again and they are always ready to help a fellow man in need!
If there is a next one, I hope it is about the Russian. I know he has an interesting story to tell and I felt like the author was hinting at him in this one!
Overall, it was still a good book but it just didn’t hit a high mark for me.
I loved Alexis & Noah’s story and the subtle hints for plot lines to come. (Please let it be the Russian 🤞) Finished it early one sleepless morning and will surely spend the day looking like I had a Beefcake encounter.
Ehhh... not feeling the chemistry between the characters, and it's a shame because I really like LKA's writing. DNF for now, might come back to it.
Alexis and Noah are best friends. Will they be able to risk their friendship and admit their feelings for each other? If you don't know the answer to this question, then maybe this isn't the book for you. Lol.
This is the third book in the Bromance Book Club series and it was my favorite, so far. I really loved Alexis and Noah. I thought their personalities and their problems felt real. And Beefcake the cat stole my heart!
This novel, like the rest of the series, celebrates friendship and how our true friends stand by us and help us when we need a hand. The storyline in this book also delves into the very real issue of living donor organ transplants, which I hope helps educate readers on this important topic while they are being entertained by this wonderful romance.
I happily recommend this book and I eagerly await the next book in the series. It just keeps getting better! Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC of this book in exchange for honest feedback.
After coming forward against Royce, Alexis has gained a bit of fame for herself and her cat cafe. Women come in to eat, drink coffee, and find solace in the presence of others who have Also dealt with sexual abuse and harassment. The cafe and her BFF Noah have kept her afloat since she spoke out. Little does she know Noah wants more than just best friendship. Will the Bromance Book Club be able to help him get past his own head and finally tell Alexis how he feels?
The Bromance Book Club is at it again, and wonderful as always! This time Noah needs some help A. Getting the girl, and B. Dealing with the anger he still has towards his dads death. As always the bros are there to share their love of literature, and their emotions! I really love reading about guys that are so in touch with what they are feeling and willing to show those emotions in front of one another. It just gives me all the warm fuzzies! I have a feeling based on some maybe hints, that the next book will be about everyones favorite bathroom ruining Russian, which I am so here for if that’s the case! I also really loved seeing Alexis grow and gain strength after coming out against Royce. Her cafe was amazing and it warmed my heart to see it become a safe haven for all those women.
Thank you to @netgalley and @berkleypub for providing this e-book for a review!
I was a huge fan of the first two books in this series and this one was not an exception.
Both Noah and Alexis are survivors in their own way. Noah lost his father and had to deal with some bad decisions he made after that loss and Alexis was a victim of sexual assalte who is trying to get her life back together. So it was very interesting to see these two people helping each other to rebuild their lives and make a better one together.
I am a huge fan of Friend to Lovers trop and these two definitely gave it justice. It took them 18 months to be ready to be together and in that time they built an incredible friendship. But the moment it all changed that sexual tension was HOT! And I was sooo here for it :) The chemistry between those two was my favorite part of this book.
I did enjoy the first 65% of the book more than the last bit. I went like the build up of the story was written really well but the ending felt a bit flat for me. With the main characters trying to adjust to their new relationship, to family drama, to work drama, I felt like everything got solved too easily. I definitely wished we got to see more of how Alexis’s new discovered family went from hating her to apologizing. I did like that not everything is perfect by end of the story, that part definitely felt more real.
I think the part that gave me the most feels was the Bromance bookclub. I loved seeing all these strong men being there for each other and helping each other in the hardest of times. The scene when Noah finally opens up about his past with them was amazing.
Overall, I really enjoyed it and hope we are going to get more books from this group.
Friends-to-lovers meets the Bromance Book Club! I LOVE Lyssa Kay Adams and her Bromance Book Club. This book was especially enjoyable because I liked whole storyline of Alexis and her family situation (don not want to give too much away). But that whole plot line was new to me and never really done before. My heart was on an emotional rollercoaster with her and her journey with her whole situation.
Add to that her friendship/ relationship with Noah that turned from nest friends to more!
What a story !! A page turner that I did not want to put down!
*sings loudly while dancing* "The Boys are back in town...(I said) the boys are back in town!" The boys are back! Our favorite feminists of the Bromance Book Club are back and better than ever. I swear that this series has given me new life. I was never really a huge fan of Contemporary Romance, but I long for these books to come out. I just finished "Crazy Stupid Bromance" and I'm already craving the next book in the series.
In this newest installment to the Bromance Book Club the story revolves around Alexis and Noah. We met Alexa in "Undercover Bromance" as Liv's friend who owned a cat café. She was a woman who had the courage to come forth with her story about being sexually harassed by a famous chef and super creeper in order to put a stop to him harassing more women. Noah was the tech savvy friend of our boys who helped expose said sexual harasser creeper. Their story is the friends to lovers story and I shipped it so hard.
Noah wants Alexis and Alexis wants Noah, but neither wants to ruin the best friendship they ever had by trying for anything more. Well, that's just unacceptable. Enter the Bromance Book Club. They take our dear Noah under their collective wings to show him just what an adorable idiot he's being. They do what they do best, spit some truth and provide unconditional support while pulling Noah's head out of his ass.
I found that I enjoyed this book more than the previous one. For starters, Alexis didn't annoy me like the previous heroine of the story did. She's relatable and very likable. I mean, she has a café called "The ToeBeans Cat Café" (how adorable is that?) where you can adopt a kitty along with getting your caffeine fix. She's a genuinely good person that likes to help wherever she can; whether its helping cats get adopted, having a safe space for sexual assault victims to congregate and heal, or even looking into becoming an organ donor to a long lost (newly found, really) family member.
There were of course many laughs to be had. I love, love, LOVE her curmudgeonly little fur-baby Beefcake. His relationship with Noah (and all the BBC) is hilarious. His scenes were golden and I laughed out loud so many times. I enjoyed the fact that there was a "Karen" character who was actually named Karen. Brilliant! And of course, I loved our Bromance Book Club. They indoctrinated Noah into the club while planning Mack's wedding (you know Mack's the hopeless romantic and has been dreaming of his wedding forever), rehearsing dance numbers, and getting massages for their bachelor weekend (are they supposed to shower first? Should they wear underwear? What do they do with the Russian wearing a bathrobe that's 3 sizes too small?).
While there were plenty of laughs there was also heavier moments. I mean, they can't just skip to their happily ever after. Like our wise Malcom said while instructing Noah on why readers love romances, "It's the journey"..."It's how they get to that happily ever after that matters and makes these books so special and instructive." And I can honestly say that I loved this journey and I love the Bromance Book Club. I'll be eagerly awaiting the next installment. Will it be Colton's story next? Or will we finally get The Russians story? I honestly can't wait!
Special thanks to NetGalley and Berkley for releasing this ARC to me in exchange for an honest review.
I love all the Bromance books, but wished this one focused more on the members of the Book Club. Still, a hit, just didn't love it as much as the others. Glad to hear there will be another in Summer of 2021 focusing back on the Book Club.
Fast-paced, witty romance with characters you just enjoy spending you time with. Recommended for anyone looking for a contemporary romance just slightly different than the standard.
