This was a fun entry in the Bromance Book Club series which, while still having some drawbacks that keep me from capital-l Loving them, have only gotten better with each installment.

In this one, we get a well-done friends to lovers story about Alexis and Noah, who feel like refreshingly real and complex characters for this series. While I had some issues with the pacing and believability of both of their personal character journeys, their romance itself was really enjoyable.

The other men in the book club yet again feel more like caricatures than people but at least some of the stuff I really couldn't stand before (the random bad Spanish from that one guy, excessive discussion of the Russian's lactose intolerance) was kept to a minimum this time.

If you've liked the others you'll like this one, and new readers could easily pick it up as a standalone if need be since Noah is also new to the book club if not new to the friend group.

I love the tropes the author selects for each of the Bromance Book Club members, and appreciated the few selections of the book club's selection and how it related to the larger plot. We are very lucky to be getting two Bromance Book Club books in this trash fire of 2020! Now I have to wait for the next one!!

Yasss!! I’m so happy!! Crazy Stupid Bromance had all of the elements I loved in book 1 and that were missing in book 2. We get the Bros from Bookclub helping Noah get his happily ever after and we get snippets from the Bookclub book, which were some of my favorite things from Bromance Bookclub. Also Lyssa does such a great job of writing a romcom with depth. I love this series so much! Can’t wait for the next one!

5/5 stars

Thank you to the publisher for the early review copy!

It seems to be the main trend with romance series to follow different people within a group of friends in each book and I love it. In The Bromamce Book Club we follow Gavin and Thea, in Undercover Bromance we follow Mack and Liv, and in this one we follow Alexis and Noah. And we see some of each of the previous characters in the next books.. like that each book has a different trope as well.

The main thing I loved about The Bromance Book Club was that the comedy wasn't just cheap fart jokes and etc but that was mainly what I noticed in Undercover Bromance. This one had a good variety of comedy, including a terrifying cat named Beefcake. (As someone that had a cat that terrified my husband for the first few years of our relationship I found the cat and his mannerisms on point by the way).

The other problem I had with Undercover Bromance was there was barely any snippets from the book they were reading. And we get a little bit more in this one and the snippets told us a bit more than the last one. I do wish there was just a little bit more of the Bromance Book Club getting together and discussing the books and what they learned, but I understand there not being much since Noah was so reluctant to read the book.

Highly recommend this series as always!

Thank you to Berkley Publishing Group for a gifted review copy of Crazy Stupid Bromance by Lyssa Kay Adams. All opinions in this review are my own.

The Bromance Book Club is back in the third installment for the series. In addiction to their book club, the guys are planning a wedding.

Crazy Stupid Bromance highlights the story of Alexis and Noah. They were both introduced into the series in Undercover Bromance. Alexis owns a cute little coffee shop and helps rescue cats find homes. Noah is a computer genius. They are best friends and both want more but fear damaging their friendship. They're also afraid of how the other feels. The guys feel that the Bromance Book Club can help Noah with his problems if he will only give in and join.

The story alternates between Noah and Alexis with their current storyline and also introduces more background about their characters. This story will make you laugh out loud most of the time but make sure to have a few tissues nearby just in case you need them.

I love this series. The characters are funny and likable. Mack has been my favorite for the past two books but I think the Russian and Alexis's cat, Beefcake, are the winners for funny in this one. I am looking forward to more book in this series.

This book could work as a stand alone but I highly recommend reading the first two books in this fun series.

The Bros are back and better than ever! I fall more and more in love with this series every book that comes out. While I was hoping we would finally get a book featuring the mysterious and lovable Russian (Pretty please??) this book did not disappoint. Funny, heartwarming, and all around delightful. Not only do I think this series is a must read for any romance lover, I think this series is a must read for the romance naysayers. Who doesn't love a bunch of dudes helping each other out, embracing their emotions and redefining what it means to be a man? And remember: "We always run for grand gesture!"

Welp, it is official. The Bromance Bookclub series is a must buy for me. I have loved this series from day one and I think this third installment will be a favorite.
.
Friends to lovers trope is a favorite and Noah and Alexa did not disappoint. Their relationship offered itself to such sweet, heartfelt moments, that I fell in love with them both. Good guys are my jam....I have recently just realized that and I believe that is a huge part of the appeal with this series. These guys are so stinkin good. Just good boys, you know?
.
I'm ending with five stars as this one is funny, sweet, lovely and heartwarming. Definitely pick up Crazy Stupid Bromance. I hope you love it as much as I did!

I do feel like I need to say one thing. This does contain very strong language and steamy scenes.

I didnt thinknanything could top the first book in this series, but I was wrong. This new installment in the Bromance Book Club series gave me all the feels.

I had so much to relate to with Alexis. I enjoyed that she was really, honest, and optimistic. Her character was such a refreshing light.

Noah's nerdy character is a bit broken from life getting him down. His friendship with Alexis means everything to him. To both of them really.

Watching them navigate whether they want it to be more, along with some very great wit from our Bromance team (OMG the spa scene had me rolling!), some family drama, and some selfless service made this a complete binge for me that I must revisit very soon.

Thank you Berkley Romance and Netgalley for the opportunity to read an advanced readers copy. This unbiased feedback is completely my own.

3.5 stars! This series is just delightful. I have so much fun reading about these characters and every book is just full of cute, steamy, goofy antics that I find so enjoyable.

I was super excited for this one after reading and loving Undercover Bromance, because I really liked Alexis and Noah seemed cool too. I liked their relationship a lot and they were both great on their own as well. A lot of the storyline revolves around familial problems for both Alexis and Noah and those got a bit angsty at times but overall I thought lended well to the story.

I obviously loved seeing appearances from old characters throughout, especially Mack! I was surprised by the very small roles that Liv, Gavin and Thea had and I also wish that Alexis had further built her friendship with Jessica a little more. A gripe that I had with Bromance Book Club was that I didn’t really enjoy the amount of excerpts from the Book Club’s romance pick, but then it was lessened for Undercover Bromance and I liked that more. But I actually wish there was a bit more of the excerpts in this one, surprisingly! Overall, though this is probably my least favorite of the series, I still had a hell of a good time and I just think these books are so fun!

There' something about Adams' style that has you gobbling up her books in record time, and this is no exception.

Crazy Stupid Bromance is a friends to lovers romance between Alexis and Noah, who were mentioned earlier in the series. Their romance is very grounded and you can sense their chemistry right away. And I have to admit, this book made me cry pretty hard. In a tender, sweet way.

I will say I've been confused by the Bromance Book Club members since the beginning of the series. There is a main cast, and Mack seems to be the most memorable character. I don't remember Colton in the earlier books, which leads me to believe he's in this one more because he'll be the next hero in the series. I also don't remember a Sonia character, which leads me to believe she'll have her own book down the line. It feels like vague outlines of characters keep popping up while I'm still trying to figure out who Del is (and I know Del has been around since the beginning, but what is his personality?)

I love each character when Adams spends more time on them, but it also feels like there's a steadily revolving door of hot guys on the sidelines and they're only mentioned so they get their own story later. Until then, it's like they don't need a personality? I'd rather read about a shorter cast of easily distinguishable people and know them by the time I pick up their book.

The third installment of the Bromance Book Club series did not disappoint! With Crazy Stupid Bromance, Adams continues in her tradition of amazing rom coms that I devour in one sitting. I was particularly excited for this book, as the friends-to-lovers trope is one of my favorites.

The story follows best friends Noah and Alexis, who we were very briefly introduced to in the second book of the series; Noah, the computer genius/ hacktivist friend of Mack’s, and Alexis, the cat café owner and best friend of Liv. Here, we learn more about their respective backgrounds, as well as their strong friendship that developed in the months following the events of the previous book. The core storyline stems from the shocking revelation that only-child, raised by a single-mom Alexis has a sister and the outcomes that go along with this big reveal. As the book blurb reads, “Alexis turns to the only man she trusts – her best friend, Noah Logan”.

What I loved about this book: friends-to-lovers!! I loved all of the little glimpses into Noah and Alexis’s easy friendship, and especially how they were both mutually pining for each other rather than a one-sided poor timing iteration that is common of the trope. You could see why they were friends, and also understand why they both would want to take their relationship to the next level. And, once they do get together (I don’t think this is really a spoiler lol), the foundation of their friendship builds a relationship with genuine communication. Together, they worked through a lot of familial issues and pain from their past, which I think is also something that Adams does really well in her books. She manages to walk the delicate line between intensity and lighthearted-ness that I think is essential to a good romance book – here, Adams writes very realistically and heartbreakingly about grief and loss.

So why 4 stars? While I loved seeing their friendship, I almost thought there could have been a little more of a build-up between the couple, so that the release of tension would have been more cathartic. My second gripe is completely from personal preference, as Noah was not my favorite hero from the series as a whole. A fundamental part of his story dealt with his anger, which, while completely valid within the context of his past, I felt at times turned me off from him.

Overall, this book was a satisfying and swoon-worthy addition to the bromance series. As always, any scenes with the book club men had me simultaneously laughing and nodding vigorously along to their feminist commentary; I could keep reading about the book club and their fight against toxic masculinity forever (Which, btw, did I sense that a story about the Russian is next?!)

Thank you to NetGalley and Berkley for access to this ARC!

Bromance Book Club series fans first met Alexis Carlilse is Adams’s previous novel, Undercover Bromance. The owner of Toebeans Cafe reluctantly stepped into the spotlight eighteen months ago to reveal that she was a victim of sexual assault by a famous chef. At that time, she met Noah, the convicted teenage hacktivist who steps up to comfort her and they become fast best friends who are both fighting feelings for each other. Alexis’s cafe is a safe haven for survivors who gather there often for support, much to the dismay of Karen across the street. One woman who Alexis believes is a survivor confides in Alexis that she’s actually her sister, and that their father needs a kidney. Noah immediately encourages Alexis to guard her feelings and disregard this intrusion, but that’s not who she is.
Noah and Alexis, each working through their own traumas, grow together and support each other through this major life decision, and grow closer and closer. This romance, centered more in character development and growth, will not disappoint fans of the Bromance series. With appearances from previous characters, and even a setup for the next book in the series, readers will be drawn in from the beginning to end. For fans of Christina Lauren and The Whisper Network.

I am a recent fan of the Bromance Book Club series. I love how smart these books are in representing issues, romance, and character interactions. The books have a wonderful wit about them as well! I will say that book three, Crazy Stupid Romance, while good, was not necessarily my favorite in the series. I LOVED the characters; however, I found I had a difficult time engaging with Noah and Alexis' story. As always, this may be due to my mood and my personality rather than the way the book is written or the strength of the characters. The story line did feel a bit clunky in places and sometimes obvious instead of the reader developing an over all sense of the characters and the motivations on their own. This book did leave me with a strong desire and hope for Adams to write the Russian's story! Who is this mystery wife? I think that Adams does a great job of dropping hints along the way that give insight to potential future story lines. This is definitely a book that I will purchase for our library and recommend to others.

A big thanks to NetGalley and the publisher, Berkley, for the opportunity to read an advanced copy of the next installment of the Bromance Book.

these books are cute, and they have their construct and stick to it. I'm just too bored to continue on.

As soon as I saw I got approved, I squealed. I immediately went to my kindle and started this book. I have been waiting for Noah’s book for what seems like forever and I was not let down. Each book in this series has a special place in my heart. I absolutely loves how she takes each trope and weaves it into the bookclub pick.
Alexis is a survivor, after the debacle with Royce she just needs time to heal and as she heals, she helps other survivors. She met Noah 18 months ago when they took down Royce and she and Noah have been best friends ever since. The best of friends, so much so that she doesn’t want to jeopardize their friendship by admitting her feelings might run a little deeper.
Noah knows that Alexis was hurt in the past, he knows she has so much to get through to see her future on the other side. He has been by her side as her best friend for 18 months but sees her as his everything.
There were obstacles that came up throughout this book, but they were dealt in such a way that was believable. This is what your best friend would do to be there for you through the hard times, but as you see Noah, you see a man who would do anything for not only his best friend, but the woman he loves. He was so respectful of her and her situation that it made my heart leap.
I did get teary eyed a few times too.m, but what I love about this series is that each man is so caring and thoughtful. It is a refreshing series and I enjoy each book just as much as the last. I love it so much. Thank you to Netgalley, Berkley and Lyssa Kay Adams for an early copy of this book.

This is the third book in the Bromance Bookclub series. If you have read the others you will also love this. This book follows best friends Alexis and Noah. They are best friends and nothing more, yet both of them have feelings for each other, but that would be just weird.. because they are friends right. Alexis is surprised when her half sister shows up at her door saying their dad needs help. Alexis never knew her dad. Her dad needs a new lung and Alexis may be a match. Noah is there for Alexis the whole time. This is a wonderful story of friends to lovers with funny and serious moments. Of course we see a lot of the characters from the other books we already know and love.

This was another fun and addictive read that had me laughing out loud and smiling almost all the way through. I love the characters and the insight into why they do what they do. I find that so refreshing seeing the men vulnerable and so in tune with their feelings and emotions.. This was another great edition to the series! Can’t wait for the next one!

The perfect follow-up to the first two books! I was drawn in by the premise of a romance set in a cat cafe and stayed for the lovely romance and compelling characters. Will be recommending this one along with the rest of the Bromance books.

I'm just not feeling these anymore. The combination of machismo in the extreme (what's a massage!?!?!what if I get a boonnnneerrr!?) and being weirdly in tune to women's needs the point of absurdity as a result of reading bad romances novels I just can't buy in to this series anymore.

I think this was my favorite in this series so far. And yet, I think I'm not going to continue the series. I don't have the patience for them.

I was so excited about the friends-to-lovers story. It's one of my favorite tropes in romance novels. And honestly, the romance part was pretty good. I liked the two main characters, Alexis and Noah, and liked their friendship. I was rooting for them all the way.

If only the story would have just focused on their romance instead of going into a bunch of other convoluted story tropes as well.

As far as couples in this series go, Alexis and Noah were my favorite. They were two genuinely nice, interesting people. But dear God, Alexis spent a good portion of this book being naive to the point of losing brain cells!

A random woman tells Alexis that they're related and that her absentee dad, who Alexis has never met, but who's known about her for years, now needs a kidney, and Alexis could be the one to save his life. And Alexis doesn't even stop to question it! She asks for no proof of what they're saying. She doesn't investigate her supposed father (Noah has to do it because she can't be bothered), she doesn't even ask for DNA evidence that she is, in fact, related to these people. She takes one day to process, and is ready to freely give an internal organ!

Then that same family has the nerve to treat Alexis like trash? The woman who is kindly giving her kidney to a man that doesn't deserve it, and whom she doesn't even know?

The author was clearly trying to send the message that organ donations are good things, and I get it. She's right. Donations save lives. I just couldn't' deal with it. The entire medical drama portion of this book annoyed me because it felt like borderline cohesion. Imagine only making contact with your long lost family member when you happen to need an organ donation from them. I was hoping the entire time that Alexis would tell that entire family to fuck off and leave her, and her kidneys, alone.

Now let's talk about the book club. In general, I like the book club guys. They're a funny bunch, for the most part. The scene at the spa had me laughing out loud. But, I also have so many problems with the guys. First, they're extremely preachy. They didn't even seem like real human beings at times. They were versions of men than women want to read about. They say all the things women would want men to say and do all the things women would like men to do. Which, to be fair, books don't have to be realistic, and who doesn't like an idealized version of the world?

The boys were feminists to the core and they won't let you forget it. And that brings me to one other problem I had. Like in the previous two books, everything is the man's fault. Everyone cheered Alexis for making her move on Noah, but when Noah stopped to make sure that it was consensual and that Alexis wasn't just doing this because she'd been having a stressful day and he didn't want to feel used by her, all the guys call Noah an idiot for making her feel rejected! Then, they scold him for not confessing his feelings right away (Alexis didn't verbally confess either, mind you), and for not having the right words, and not knowing how to deal with the complex emotions he's feeling! WTF!

Lastly, can The Russian please be a real character?  I've talked about this when I reviewed the previous novels. The man is a caricature created for comedic relief, and it's not that funny. They don't even refer to him by his name, he's just The Russian! Imagine if he were Indian or Nigerian and they only referred to him by his country of origin, gave him an empty yet comically exaggerated personality, made him the butt of all the jokes, and made it seem like he was less intelligent than everyone else. That'd be controversial, no? But I guess it's funny because he's white?

In the end, I have to admit, I actually liked the romance portion of the book. Everything else ranged from meh to annoying. I don't think this series is for me. If there are more books, which I don't doubt there will be, I won't be reading them.
