Full of suspense, and dark themes engulfing a romance story, this book is based on true events and is captivating from the very first page.

The characters arch was incredibly well written, and the story lines fell into place creating an ending that will absolutely blow your mind.

A prime example of a first novel, if Her Eyes Underwater is anything to go by, I predict you will be hearing about Romona Simon a lot in the future!

Billed as the first book in a series, this story is gripping from beginning to end. Julia is obsessive in her pursuit of Alex, but is he the Mr. Perfect that he's cracked up to be or harboring some deep, dark secret?

At times the story and plot felt jumpy, but that just added to the suspense and intrigue. With elements of danger, romance and violence, this book has it all. It's not your smiling, sunshine and rainbows romance, nor is it your typical mystery, but it sure does leave me wanting to read more.

This book is not for the faint of heart, and the ending will leave you floored.

This book has an extremely interesting premise and I really enjoyed the fact that it was written based off a true event. Romona Simon is a wonderful writer and I though this book flowed quite well. I was captured by the beginning and I am certain I will read more from this author when given the chance.

A thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat!

I found this book to be dark and suspenseful. Julia’s story will grab you in and engulf you. I often found it hard to believe that this woman would not take no for an answer. Although, her ruthlessness added to the suspense of the story.

I don’t want to spoil much, but this is definitely a must read!

Julia is not a shy, retiring woman. When she sees something ..or someone...she wants, she goes right at it. Today, she's seen a man she would love to get to know. He's tall, dark, handsome with a warm voice just this side of heaven.

But for some reason, although very polite, he doesn't seem to connect with her. She's not used to being rejected, and her interest only spirals.

She almost becomes a stalker in her pursuit of this man.

You know what they say ... be careful of what you wish for, you might get it.

At odd times, he seems to disappear. Where does he go, what does he do? And there are times when she catches something in his eyes ...something dark, maybe dangerous.

This is a story of the secrets that can hide behind an elegant mask and the flaws that people ignore in the haze of infatuation.

If you're looking for a nice, sweet romantic suspense, this is not it. This is much more. Yes, there is romance,of sorts. There is definitely suspense. And then there's more ... something unexpected, something that will leave you making sure all the lights are on and the doors are locked. This is this author's debut novel and it's a doozy. The novel is well written, with aptly drawn characters, headed for an unexpected, brutal ending.
