This book was a thriller of a read. Had good twists. Kept you guessing all along.
So many ups and downs become like a rollercoaster of fiction

A great thriller. I love the pace of this book. It was intriguing, suspenseful and fun to read. An author I just discover with this book but an author I want to read more from!

It’s hard to pin down my reaction to this book. OK - what I liked - the main female character, Abbie Rambally, was smart, strong, kind, driven but had a traumatic moment in her past and now has a fierce determination to prevail. Her husband Ty is hot, smart, kind, loving and all the good things. They get set up by a pair of con artists who have different motivations but the same aim of kidnapping the Rambally’s eldest child, 10 year old Lucas.

What I didn’t love - I just thought it was all a bit black and white with little in the way of nuancing in the characters. The evil mastermind was SO bad and the nice family was SO good. This is nit picking but it kind of bothered me a little. Otherwise it was a cracking story. As Yoda says: “there is no try, just do” and the Ramballys do very well in fighting the evil that has entered their lives. It was certainly a page turner with an uncertain ending until the very end.

I received an advanced reader copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review via netgalley and the publishers.

This book is one of the best suspense reads I have read this year so far! The plot is so well plotted and executed it grips you and won't let you go! I just couldn't put this book down.

I haven't read the other two books in this series that come before this book, but that didn't throw me off the story as it unfolded as a brief description of what happened in the first two books is told in snippets through the story. I will definitely be reading them too at some point.

The final installment to this series comes out soon and I really can't wait to read it. Poor Abbie Rambally has really been dragged through some terrible times, but she's tough and a fighter and isn't easy to take down.

I can't wait to read the rest of this series!

Ty is in his final year of residency as a cardiothoracic surgeon. Abbie, his wife, is about to give her doctoral dissertation. Both managing with three children, as well. Luckily for them they have Olivia, their nanny and friend for 5 years, to help them out.

Then, a new couple moves into the neighborhood. Jenna and Charlie Payne. Young (and more than a bit strange) they insinuate themselves into Abbie and Ty's lives. They (especially Jenna) ask personal questions and drop by whenever they feel like it. Abbie notes that Olivia is especially rude to the Paynes. (And this is totally out of line with Olivia's normal behavior).

Ty works so many long hours at the hospital that he doesn't see anything out of the ordinary. But... Abbie does... And it is not unfounded even by a longshot...

One of this year's BEST!!!

HIGHLY Recommend!

Many Thanks to Victory Editing /NetGalley co-op for a great read.

This was my first book by this author and I immediately downloaded the others in the series when finishing it.
The story is Abby and Ty Rambally are happy with their three children until new neighbours appear. Is Abby right to be suspicious or is there nothing to worry about. I liked how the story unfolded and the chapters alternated between the viewpoints of Abby and the new neighbours.
It was an easy read but kept me enthralled. I read it now realising it was part of a series but don’t feel I missed any major story points having not read the previous. I do think reading the previous I will probably link more with points in this story.

Abbie Rambally is married to Ty, a surgeon, and is a doctoral candidate getting ready to defend her thesis. They have 3 children and live in a good neighbourhood. New neighbours move in and come over the Abbie's house to introduce themselves - Jenna and Charlie Payne. Jenna seems to take an unusual interest in Abbie's eldest child Lucas which Abbie finds rather odd. Even more disturbing, Jenna asks all sorts of intrusive questions about Lucas's biological father as Lucas has lighter skin than his twin siblings. Although Abbie doesn't feel comfortable with Jenna, she is soon put in a position where Jenna has to help her out with the children as their nanny doesn't turn up for work.

This is a book in a series but stands alone. Kabongo writes well and hooks the reader from the beginning. We are quickly drawn into the story which becomes much more complex as it goes on. There is adequate character development for a story which relies so heavily on plot. Definitely a page turner and difficult to stop reading once you've started. Nicely written and well developed, with a satisfying conclusion.

Loved this book, I could not stop reading it, to see what happens. The suspense builds and the characters are well written. I did not realise that it was part of a series, but you can read it as a stand alone.

I will have to read the series, this author knows how to build the suspense without having to use graphic violence, or profanity with every second word , a breath of fresh air!!

I will most definitely look out for more books.

Thankyou to NetGalley, the publishers and the author, Glede Browne Kabongo, for the opportunity to read an advanced readers copy of Winds Of Fear in exchange for an honest and unbiased opinion.
What an incredible read. I couldn't put the book down.
Winds of Fear is the third in the Fearless series. I had no issues with reading this book as a standalone. I had not read any of this author's previous novels before I delved into this one (have since purchased the other novels to devour )
The characters were well drawn and compelling. The narrative was gripping and keeps you guessing. I certainly can't wait to read more from this author.
Well worth a read.
