Say what?! What did I just read?!!

A war is coming! Holy mother of pearl.... war is coming!! War is a coming!!

Let's just say... I didn't expect this book to go the way it did. Fourth a Lie is shocking, filled with suspense, drama, pain, love, loss and so much more. Doing my best to not give anything away..... just be prepared to go on a bumpy, wild ride!!!

Another well written book in this series! Dark, gripping, emotional and one I highly recommend!!!

I can't wait for the final installment come July!!!

5 stars from me.

Oh my goodness! From one epic cliffhanger to another! This series constantly leaves me on tenterhooks!

Fourth A Lie caused me some major anxiety. There’s action and so much drama and still major steam! The evil that is Drake has completely turned the tables on the goddess aisles! I hate that character with a passion!

The change in Eleanor from how she was in the very first book to this fourth book is jaw dropping! So many changes have happened but Sully’s change is the most mind blowing for me.

I can’t wait for the next book and I have everything crossed that things go as I want them too and there’s a happy ending! Five stars!

Everything seems to have been leading up to this moment and boy did it pact a punch! Rather than let slip anything, I'll just run through my feelings. And there were a lot of them. Anxiety certainly peaked and the heart raced. There were spikes of fear for certain characters and their fate before the heart relaxed... only for it to spike once more. Up and down and up and down. It was a rollercoaster of emotions and feelings. I always thought Drake was this lurking danger just waiting to strike and he was even worse than I imagined. Sully... my heart was in my throat for most of the time. I can't blame him for hating his brother. The man is a psychopath! I was a bit annoyed with Eleanor in the beginning of the story but I did admire her tenacity and determination. So much happened by the middle of the story and boy did the heart pound over and over again. So scared about some people and what's happened to them. And then the ending was a heart stopper and I have absolutely no idea where this is going to go next. As much as I want the next story, I don't want it to come too soon because it means having to say goodbye to Sully. And I don't think I'm ready. #loveSully

It is getting harder and harder to figure out how to write these reviews! I have spent days debating what to write and how to write and I simply can't.
This story is a battle. Your emotions will be all over the place and you will probably want to throw you kindle/book and curse the author for making you suffer. But if you know anything about the author and the stories she tells, you know that everything happens for a reason. The journey will be hard and it will push the characters to the breaking point. It makes them stronger and more capable of surviving and thriving in the chaos that is their lives. Their love is beautiful and endless, dark and possessive and they will destroy anyone that threatens it. Remember that as you read it. No spoilers from me. Be prepared for the end, as it always comes way to soon, and remember that this is number four and five will be here before you know it! Enjoy the torture and messed-up love that is Eleanor and Sully. You will not be disappointed!

BEST BOOK YET!
I was nooooot ready for this in any way!

Book four was ten times more emotional than the previous reads. Fourth a Lie had me hooked from the get go. It was action packed and made my heart race. I. LOVED. IT. These two characters just keep growing and becoming two people that I have really loved seeing together. And with Drake in the picture– I feel like it brought out Sully and Eleanor MORE. They bloomed and grew so much more and I just really like seeing that.

The last book in the series is next. I’m not sure I am emotionally ready to let go. The Goddess Isles series has showed me that branching out isn’t nearly as bad as it could be. The oddities and the setting and the things that happen don’t always happen in other novels like these and I really admire Pepper for that and for keeping everything original.

Are you ready? I don’t think you are because WOW!! Buckle up because this one might just rip you apart! After the shocking cliffhanger in the prior book we begin right where we left off. Sully finally admitted his feelings he has about Jinx but at what cost to both of them and all that he has created? With enemies closing in can they find a way to come out on top or is this the end? Can he finally confront his brother before he loses everything? A war is coming...so be prepared to fight! “Pain means your still Alive.” Oh, my heart!!! This is an explosive, jaw dropping and intense, heartbreaking adventure that will leave you breathless! More action than romance in this one as enemies finally surface! Sully reminds me so much of Q and I’m not mad at that AT ALL!! I love how fierce and strong Eleanor is! One more book to go and I need it NOW! Told in dual POV

GAHHHH I am so obsessed with these books, each and every one of the Series so far has had me hanging onto the edge and this one is no different!! MORE INTENSE, MORE DRAMA AND MORE EMOTION!!

Sully is still Sully, his path to love has been a slow one, but he’s still himself, a monster one minute and a protective caring lover the next.
Jinx still has such strength within her, she knows what she wants and is just as determined to get it. Their love is encompassing and explosive !! You sure do need a fan reading those pages !!!

Just when they seem to be finding their goals and growing as they should, disaster strikes with the introduction of Drake, Sully’s brother who brings an even worse Evil, destruction and devastation to the paradise both Sully and Jinx were creating!!

OMG I did not see any of this coming, Pepper Winters is master of your emotions and mind, i just couldn’t help myself. My anger, my heartfelt hatred towards this character, my wish to destroy him!!
My tears for both Sully and Jinx, and the rising emotions that mentally i had me wanting so badly to protect both Sully and Jinx from the horrors they are forced to endure !!

IAMHANGINGBYATHREAD!!!! Without a doubt is my top series for this year !!!

I'm giving this book a 5+ star rating. Pepper Winters captures you, holds you hostage and takes you on an adventure that you won't soon forget.
This fourth book was the darkest, mindblowing, heart stopping of the series so far, hard to read but hard to put down.
A beautiful island of clear blue skies, pristine beaches, crystal clear water, tropical breezes, a paradise, or was it? It should have been but this island held monsters of the worse kind, human monsters that did unthinkable things.

Have you ever heard the phrase, “Make love not war”? Yea these characters are not familiar with it. Fourth a Lie picks up right where Third a Kiss left off, and it is undoubtably the most painful book in this series so far. It is unsettling, crazy, nauseating, and had my heart pounding the entire time.
In all the previous books, I felt anxious sure but always was left with a small sense of safety. I knew Sully would never intentionally hurt Eleanor because he was too enamoured. But with Fourth a Lie, that safety net had been ripped out from under me and it was like I was on the world’s scariest roller coaster while blindfolded. I never knew when the next drop would happen or which way we were going to turn. It was terrifying. There are so many different lives at stake. And like with all Pepper Winters’ books, it was packed with emotions. Yes I gasped, yes I ugly cried, and yes I fell more in love with Sully and Eleanor. But I would be lying if I said I wasn’t just as in love with Pika and Skittles. Those two birds are the true stars, and I just want to put them in a bubble and keep them safe forever.

Overall rating 5 stars
Steaminess 2.5 stars (this is definitely the less steamy one in the series but it is action packed)

P.S-I am looking forward to seeing that asshole get what he deserves.

Another installment of the Goddess Isles series and another completely amazing read. It is like you will understand what is going to happen and you put the book in a little box and the author demolishes that box with how well this book is written. This book touches on every part of a humans emotions. We feel the pain inflicted in this book, the saddness, the love, the overwhelming desire to survive and yet we are just as helpless as the MC's. I have no idea where book 5 will take us and I am interested to see how everything will be wrapped up so cleanly in one book. This book is the most intense and emotionally demanding of any of the books thus far in the series. I could not put this book down and completely read it cover to cover and it kept me up until like 3AM because I HAD to know what was going to happen and of course I am stuck on a cliffhanger. I NEED THE NEXT BOOK!!

A once thriving community turned violent upon the arrival of Drake’s mercenary men. Welcome to the uninhibited wild island.

Fourth A Lie continues after Third A Kiss with Drake destroying the island with the animals and Sully dealing with the aftermath of his brothers rage against him.

Overall:
Drake’s arrival wasn’t what I expected, but all the same it was entertaining to read the direction Pepper took the reader. As an enemy he brought violence and danger to this island.
There are many ways to define the word dark, but this time dark wasn’t limited to violence. Dark had a new meaning when factored into the world where a drug was created for euphoric purposes. Shameless comes to mind as I envision a world with goddesses going crazy with lust. Pepper took the words “hot and bothered” to another level of insanity. The levels of ecstasy created by this elixir was explicitly entertaining. Peppers imagination never seizes to amaze me. I’m always amazed and impressed with the words Pepper chooses to describe the intoxicating ecstasy created by this elixir.

Pepper tapped into a new type of enemy. This was an enemy unforeseen from the beginning. There is a new type of evil to be afraid of and Pepper delivered its exotic fantastical dangers with pure raw insanity. You’ve never encountered this type of evil before. It’s an unexpected treat.

In all the chaos you can still find solace in Pika and Skittles with their cute little antics. These birds are a constant reminder of the comfort they provide.

The 4th installment of the Goddess Isles books takes you on an edge of your seat, white knuckling, wild ride.

"He’d left a man and returned a demon. A macabre mannequin."

Sully and Elenor continue their self loathing, heart wrenching untangling of their love and emotions for each other, while trying to overcome the worst traits of human kind within themselves and others.

"I didn’t want others to witness my unravelling."

"Last night had been my awakening. Today was my atonement."

Get ready to feel all the emotions, Pepper packs quite a punch in Fourth a Lie.

"I liked my life. I hoarded my privacy. I enjoyed playing with myths and falsities."

Pepper keep us hooked with an action packed, page turning, adventure of a life time.

June 18th is too far away for the conclusion of this masterpiece!

This series... I just don't even know where to begin to describe it. My emotions are all over the place. As usual, this author has bewitched me by creating a story that shouldn't be tantalizing but it is. IT SO IS. To the point, that I dream about Euphoria and elixirs because that is normal right?

The world-building is sublime in this series and continues in this story. It starts out a little slower than the previous books, even though it picks up right where it left off. The constant back and forth between these characters as they fought each other got to be a little tedious until Sully found himself in a similar predicament that Elanor had been in. Talk about coming full circle. The answers to who the traitor was, and it surprised me, were finally revealed, and some characters that I wasn't sure I trusted before completely surprised me.

This connection between Sully and Elanor is mesmerizing. At times it almost feels like the connection is otherworldly and that they belonged in the myths of Greek Deities. The steam was animalistic, brutal, and decadent. I loved watching Sully come to terms with his humanity. It has been a bumpy ride to fully redeemable but it has been so worth it.

I knew when I started that this book was going to be intense and brutal and that Pepper was going to stomp on my heart and make me want to bite my nails to the quick. I was correct in that assumption. She has managed to do that with every story that she has written. I knew that this book would set up the climax of the story and that it would set up a conclusion, for the final book, in which Sully would both rain hellfire and reign supreme and that Elanor would be by his side. My prediction somewhat came true but only in the way that Pepper HAD to throw a twist in there. One, that I did not see coming. I swear she is a wizard.

The ending of this one, like the others, ends on a SERIOUS cliffhanger. My heart plummeted out of my chest. It was utterly breathtaking. even knowing that something dire was about to happen and hearing the inner thoughts of Elanor made it even more breathtaking and, also, excruciating knowing that it is a moth away to finally get the answers that I want and need. If this author was not in my top ten before then she most definitely is now.

Pepper you are killing me!!! As you know this is the fourth book in five and starts off where the last ended. I didn't know if I would recover from the ending of the last book which gutted me but this one goodness. This book was full of holding my breath minutes, praying that it didn't turn out the way I thought it was going to. My heart broke so many times reading this book but then there were things that made me really happy. The ending......... heart in two.....Peppers writing makes you think you are right there in the sand with them. It's hard to really tell you what happened without spoilers but take my word for it this series is amazing. Thank you Pepper for letting me continue this journey and I am mad that I have to wait a month for the last book.

Buckle up and get ready for another adventurous ride with Pepper Winters in Fourth A Lie. Eleanor and Sully's hate-love-lust-pain story is going to shock you and then claim you.

Just when Sully was coming at terms with his feelings about Eleanor, his monster brother Drake declared war on his empire. Now he is at crossroads. He will die if he makes Eleanor leave to keep her safe as she holds key to his dead heart. And he will die if Eleanor stays and she is harmed. Eleanor refuses to let him go. But they have no idea about the horrors waiting for them. Death sounds easier...

This reason is everything that makes Goddess Isles an essentially Pepper Winters story. The dark and depraved side of humanity. Undiluted emotione choking me. The filthy, deviant and breathtaking passion that crosses limits and reaches an intense animalistic craze. The heartbreak, the angst and the complexity of human psyche. I fall in love with Sully a bit more with every single story. He is a magnificent man. His love and hate both are equally monstrous. He took an almost super human form in this story as he incessantly fought to protect his goddess. Eleanor proved once again that she is made for Sully. This woman is the epitome of grace and fierceness. The only negative thing for me was this story dragged a bit for me. There are enough action and adrenaline filled dramatic moments but I was getting a bit impatient to see more of Sully and Elenor together. That ending left my mouth hanging and heart beating furiously!

Fourth A Lie is the most complex and passionate story of the Goddess Isles series. Pepper Winters ruled my heart and soul with her mesmerising writing.

This book will definitely have and keep you on the edge of your seat. It was the most emotional book for me thus far from all of the books I've read in this series. I have never wanted a character to be killed off so bad. Sully and Eleanor's story not only captivated me but it has me invested in their story and leaves me wanting more and more. This story will have you screaming at the characters for a whole list on reasons and once you read the story you will know exactly what I'm talking about. Jealousy definitely came through in this story. Her actions will surprise everyone especially knowing what it could cost her. There is definitely a twist in this story that completely blindsided me. It had me saying no freaking way. When there is war, no one is safe and their will be casualties. That ending though, it will have you screaming no freaking way. Just when you think things are getting better, this story bends you over and screws you. I can't wait to read the next book.
