The fourth and penultimate book in the Goddess Isles series has left me once again desperate for more. This series continues to be up there with my favourite reads of all time and until Fifth a Fury releases my thoughts will be constantly with Sully, Eleanor and the others who remain on the Islands. I have absolutely no idea which way this story is going to go!

I don’t wish to say too much in my review as I want you to experience this book without obtaining even the slightest hint of any of the details. I will admit that the first part of the book was a little slow for my liking. I felt that I wanted the answers to come more quickly than what they did and maybe that was me being impatient more than anything. Saying that, once the action started I could not put this book down. It had everything I have felt in all the previous books - excitement, angst, fear, love, heartache, passion and everything else you can imagine. OMG it was thrilling, jaw dropping, intense and I couldn’t get enough!

The more time I spend with Sully and Eleanor the more I fall in love with this couple. They have a connection that many of us will envy. Eleanor continues to amaze me and in Fourth a Lie we see more of her strength and determination. When I think back to my first thoughts regarding Sully and how I see him now, there has been a big shift in my opinion of him. Please don’t get me wrong, I’ve always found him attractive and I can’t help but fall for an alpha bad guy but now he has my whole heart and I hope that even though he has made some mistakes, that he does get his happy ending. I hope that Eleanor does too!

I cannot recommend this series enough. I know that some of Pepper Winter’s regular readers have been waiting for all the books to be released before starting to read this series - she is Queen of the cliffhangers after all. So I’m feeling a little jealous of those who will soon be embarking on this incredible journey, reading the series for the first time. I give this instalment 4.5 stars because I would have liked a faster pace in the early part of the book but honestly that niggle was almost forgotten due to the excitement that followed.

Trying to do this with no spoilers all I can say is its judgment day, Armageddon bitches! This whole series is a nailbiter that will have you on the edge of your seat wanting more but afraid of the consequences.

Book 4 of The Goddess Isles series was another fantastic ride. This one packed tons of action and suspense. Things got crazy. People got hurt, and things CERTAINLY got sexy. Eleanor and Sully's story continues to expand in a really heart pounding way. I loved it. At the beginning I did have an issue with how drawn out a certain scene was. I felt like they kept repeating themselves. I guess I'd take off half a star for that? Then I'd just round it up to 5 bc I always round up.
Anyways, in the end the book as a whole was a definite hit for me.

This book had a whole lotta crazy in it that had me on the edge of my seat, and I was grateful for every second of it. This series stes Sully to be the villain, but once he and Jinx grow closer...then what? By book 3, I was wondering what could possibly happen next. And so, this story was the perfect addition to this series. It also redeems Sully in so many ways, before and during this story. He sees so much through this.

It starts out with Sully needing to protect Elenor in the one way he can. Her determination to fight him on this, and then through this, knows no bounds and I think both their acts speak to how much they truly love one another. I do also think how it played out was something that needed to happen. This story couldn’t progress or conclude with her never being apart from him. The opportunities he gives her in this one, that she turns away from, speaks to their love. Then all his actions are focused on her.

I held my breath for most of this book. I felt fear for both characters, but especially her. I didn’t know how it would play out with Drake. He’s a whole lot of insane, and if we thought Sully was the dark brother, think again! He had a unique way of his business, but in the end was nothing compared to Drake’s form of evil. I hate him so much. Pepper does a great way of setting up a villain that readers will genuinely dislike.

It seems like everytime they were so close, they were so far. There is a moment in the book though, near the end, where Sully had the opportunity but he didn’t take it. If this was a movie we’d all being yelling how stupid he was and how it would come back to bite him.

Overall great read though and I can’t wait to see how this whole story plays out and wraps up in the fifth and final one.

At one point early in the book Jinx says “My heart found a new home in my throat, beating rapidly.” This was how I was for most of the book, but I had to finish it once I started. It is non-stop excitement and fear and at times terror. Several times I had to put the book down as I could no longer read through the tears. Pepper Winters is a master of dialogue, emotion and plot and Fourth a Kiss has to be a pinnacle in her writing. The ending will leave you flabbergasted!

WHAT DID I JUST READ!!! 🤯🤯 How am I supposed to write a review without freaking out and spoiling the whole book??? I said this when I read the first book but Eleanor is a queen! I love her strength, resilience, heart, and just her! I’m in love with her character... I think she’s my first girl crush! 💕 I have had a like/love relationship with Sully. I knew Sully had done bad things but sometimes I couldn’t look past those bad things, primarily with his goddesses. For me, in this book, he 100% redeemed himself. I guess certain events must have occurred for him to realize the harm he was causing girls with his work. So yes, he redeemed himself and I have officially crossed over to the “love side” on Sully. Pepper Winters, you have done it again with your amazing writing ability. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 I don’t think I can wait a whole month for the next book! Talk about a cliffhanger!!!!
