Not quite a thriller, more a romance, the story of Jonathan Mitchell Wright III involves three women. Holly is his wife, mother to his three kids and a doctor. To Holly, he is Jack, a successful entrepreneur, who she believes is cheating on her. Jessica just finished Med school when she meets Jon; he hires her to join his biomed tech company. Then there is Lark, who meets Jack/Jon/Trip while on a business trip. From the title, you know what is going to happen, but how it all unravels is done well. I would not not necessarily recommend this book, which lacks the depth in characters and story line I like to read. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC.

This book just didnt catch my attention like I thought it would. I was more interested in why Johnathan acted this way and how he ultimately became so delusional. I wanted a more sinister ending verus the happily ever after one we received.

At first I wondered what this book was all about and admittedly thought I'd give up on it. But, I read on and am so pleased I did so. It took a surprising turn which had me furiously turning the pages waiting to see what would happen.

Thank you to @netgalley and Lake Union Publishing for the #giftedbook. ⁣

I love a good revenge plot and this one is pretty great. The pacing was spot on and the story came together nicely without feeling forced. I did want to slap some of the characters for being a little too naive at times, but Mr. Wright was pretty convincing so maybe I should forgive them. If you don't like reading about cheating spouses definitely avoid this one. ⁣

Overall, I liked it. It was a solid 4 star read. ⁣

The Three Mrs. Wrights by Linda Keir is another story of a man who can never have enough women in his life. Jon, Jack, Tripp--whatever you want to call him, keeps adding women to his stable that includes Holly, his wife; Jessica, his newest employee, and Lark, a woman he met in a bar.

It’s easy to predict that the women will all find out about each other, and Jon, Jack, Tripp--whoever will go down. Yawn. Short on plot, thin on character.

The writing team of Linda Joffe Hull and Keir Graff make up the pen name of Linda Keir.

My review will be posted on Goodreads starting October 15, 2020.

I would like to thank Lake Union Publishing, a trademark of Amazon.com, and NetGalley for providing me with an ARC in return for an objective review.

This book was a disappointment for me, unfortunately. I really wanted to like it, but it just fell flat. I think the biggest mark against this book for me as a reader was a disconnect between the genres this book was advertised as, and what it felt like to me after reading it.

The book first piqued my interest because it was categorized under Mystery/Thrillers. That, coupled with the exciting description, had me hooked before even turning a page! Unfortunately, there was hardly ANY aspect of this story that fit the requirements of a suspenseful mystery novel…

Given the description I had (wrongfully!) assumed this story would be a fun romp about three women working together to get even with the bigamist who had tricked them all. I was looking forward to seeing some strong, independent women coming together to perform some much needed hijinks in the name of sweet, sweet revenge… Instead I got what was essentially a Romance novel focusing on three different storylines all at once. With the same annoying love interest repeated over and over again.

It took until 70% in for even one of the main characters to realize “Mr. Wright” was cheating on them… let alone begin to do anything about it!

I did end up giving this book 2 stars, because despite the disappointment of the story not living up to my mystery/thriller genre-based expectations, the writing itself was very well executed, and I think had this story been advertised to me as a chick-lit/romance novel I would have had different expectations going into it and may have enjoyed it more… though not necessarily by much.

Thank you to the publisher, Lake Union Publishing, and NetGalley for providing me an e-ARC of this book. All thoughts are my own.

I really enjoyed this book! Very fast-paced, and keeps you guessing about what you think you know.
Mr. Wright is a doctor with a GREAT idea, a chew able tablet that can detect cancer in children. And the 3 Mrs. Wrights all believe in him and his great idea. Problem is- they don't know about each other.
It's fascinating to see how this man juggles the 3 women in his life, and the lies he tells to keep them unsuspecting. I really wasn't sure about this book, but once I started reading it, I couldn't put it down. Great read!

I really liked this book and each of the perspectives/pov it brought to the table. Had no idea who it was, had to read all the way to the end. Delicious! Thanks for my copy for an honest review.

This book was intriguing. You get pulled in with a budding love. This story includes great drama, a love story or... 3 all in different stages love with a satisfying ending. The Three Mrs. Wrights was a light read the ending was just as juicy as the drama. If you liked the movie The Other Woman Starring Cameron Diaz, I would check out this book.

What a fantastic story. It had me gripped from page one.
How Jon/Jack/Tripp got away with so much amazed me, a true king manipulator and he didn't deserve any of his strong woman.
I found The Three Mrs Wrights to be fast paced, exciting and have a satisfying ending.

Lark, Jessica and Holly are three successful women. They are bright, professional, well adjusted. What was it that made then go overboard for Jon, Jack or Jonathan Wright all at once. How on earth did the man juggle three relationships keeping all the women happy, one was with three children keeping them happy as well.

More than being a sex addict as what is played out at the end, he should be called a master juggler - balancing time, thought, care and affection to three women whilst also managing business/es giving off an image of a successful businessman and he was, and then also being a bigamist so blatantly, so openly it took your breath away.

The three women fortunately were strong enough to come out of the whole game of his bested but not beaten. That was the good part of the story for me. They came together to beat him at his own game. hit him where it hurt the most (the finances) and he ended up the loser though like a Sphinx he metamorphised himself again. Not in their worlds fortunately.

Very well written, nice characterization, keeping you wanting to know more, this was a good book for me right now in time of a second lockdown.

This was an unexpected read, and not an unpleasant one at all!

While the name of the novel itself sort of implies the plot, you definitely can't plan for the intensity that you feel while reading. The main male character and the circumstances he created in the story gave this book a ''Catch Me If You Can'' kind of a vibe, which I don't mind at all.

The book is divided into short chapters, which are easy to get through and make it more enjoyable! If you prefer shorter chapters, and a quick-paced read, this is for you. Each chapter is named after one of our main characters, particularly the three main women of the story: Lark, Jessica and Holly. I thought it was very easy to follow the story of all three ladies with the ''main man'' of the story and we could chronologically see how things developed through different perspectives. This was an excellent choice of writers!

The first 10% of the book we are introduced into the story and from that point on we are following the chaos that happens.

I loved the female characters, as they were all intelligent, strong and GOOD women above all, although all from very different walks of life. It gave the reader the understanding that this kind of a story could happen to ANY woman, and not a ''certain type of a woman''.

JT (Jack-John-Trip) was a character that I didn't completely understand, especially in the first half of the book. All I saw was a charming, unpredictable, rich, cheat and that was about it. We knew that he was famous and had connections everywhere, and he was so charming to the point where everything he said or did had to be true. He was just that believable. But then towards the middle and the end of the story I got a glimpse into what he really was - a narcissistic, heartless, master manipulator.

If you've ever been in a relationship with a manipulative, cold, selfish, self-centered douche bag, you will relate a lot to this book. I think the writers were able to capture perfectly the behaviour and characteristics of JT, and present as realistically as possible what kind of a person JT was. This gives us a better understanding of how he could do what he did, coldly and without second-thoughts. One of the last chapters that provided a look into his thoughts was just cherry on top of a sundae.

The part where Holly kicks off revenge plans was the most fun part of the book for me, as it became significantly more exciting!

One thing I do wish, is that I could hear more from JT's perspective throughout the book, and not just about him through the perspective of other women.

I especially appreciate ''One does not simply walk into Mordor'' reference from Lark towards the end of the book!

This is definitely a different kind of thriller, and I haven't read a book like this so far. I thoroughly enjoyed it!

This book was different from my usual reads. Nevertheless I enjoyed it. The book was well written flowed smoothly.. I didn't want to put it down there were twists and when the truth started being revealed I was hooked. There were some amazing female characters that were very different from each other. Jessica, Holly, and Lark didn't need rescuing they were strong and I liked that about them. Mr Wright was irredeemable and I still had questions for him. But all in this was an enjoyable read.

Holly met Jack in medical school. They have built a beautiful life that includes three wonderful children and a successful business. Handsome and charming Jack travels often for work and Holly’s suspicion escalates as he becomes more and more distant.

Jessica has just been named as medical director at a successful start up in Chicago. Having just completed her oncology residency she dreamed of changing the world. Jonathan’s surprising job offer seemed too good to be true - not to mention their secret steamy romance.

Lark, a hip young game designer meets Trip in a bar. Normally this blue haired beauty wouldn’t look twice at an older man sitting a few seats away. With her sales pitch looming Lark decides to have some fun if only to take her mind off of her trembling nerves.

Three women. One very attractive wealthy man. Read on, ladies - I don’t want to give anything else away but this suspenseful drama is absolutely unputdownable!

Thank you to Netgalley, Linda, and Lake Union for an advance copy of The Three Mrs. Wrights.

What a fun book!

Mr. Wright is all wrong. He has a wife with whom he's built a beautiful life complete with three children. But why have one wife when you could have three? Your typical self-made, big shot sociopath, we follow the three women he has pulled into his mess of lies.

The plot itself was fun - reminiscent of John Tucker Must Die and The Other Woman, however The Three Mrs. Wrights also had more to the story than "these three women are involved with the same man." All three of the women are strong, focused, successful women which adds a whole extra level of 'girl power' to the story.

I enjoyed all the characters, even Jonathan Wright. He was the kind of villain that you enjoy to read about mainly because you're anticipating and hoping for his downfall. All of the girls had their flaws, of course, but they felt like girls that my friends or I could be. Supporting cast, although we don't learn too too much about them were also good, they felt necessary despite us not spending too much time with them.

I did go into this thinking it would be a little more mystery/thriller rather than pretty much strictly fiction/women's fiction, but that didn't take away from my enjoyment...I actually am surprised how much I liked it despite the lack of a mystery/suspense aspect.

There wasn't anything really bad about this book, but there wasn't anything really good either. I struggled to connect with any of the three women, which made it pretty much impossible to care about what happened next. It reminded me of a redone John Tucker Must Die, which at least had the bonus of being a movie with actors I already liked, which hooked me into watching.
