And many of the recipes are simple and easy to fix, making this perfect for getting the family involved in the preparations. I thoroughly enjoyed this cookbook. The illustrations are lovely and the recipes are really good. Many of them use convenience ingredients, yet others call for a bit more experience, making this cookbook good for all skill levels.

Containing home tips for cleaning, stories about growing up Amish, and many other useful and enjoyable bits of information this cookbook is a must have.

This is a wonderful recipe book. If you have never purchased a recipe book from Wanda you need to. Her recipes are easy and very good. They don’t ask for ridiculous ingredients that I’m not familiar with. They are simple to read and under.

I am not a cook. I never have pretended to be. The funny thing is that I love collecting cookbooks and antique kitchen items.

I can't resist cookbooks and when I received one by Wanda Brunstetter...well..I did a little happy dance.

This cookbook will be one I will use instead of it just sitting on my shelf. I found a few recipes that I am ready to make.

The pictures are great and the pages are sturdy. It is not flimsy.

A great addition is the section with tips and suggestions to use in the home.

I have always enjoyed Wanda E Brunstetter's books and this cook book is no exception. I love all the pictures and stories included. The recipes all seem scrumptious and easy to follow. All the tidbits of information like the garden tips and the health recipes like Pneumonia or Flu Foot Soak are wonderful. This is a great book for those who love cooking, baking, and Amish stories. This would be a wonderful addition to anyone's cookbook collection. I highly recommend it.

Wanda Brunstetter’s newest cookbook Amish Friends Farmhouse Favorites Cookbook is a culinary delight for fans of home style cooking. Each page is filled with recipes that will have taste buds tingling long before the dishes are prepared. While some of the recipes feed a crowd they are easily cut in half to make them the right size for smaller gatherings. Have an ingredient and need a recipe, just turn to the indexes and you will find one listed by main ingredients. Need a quick fix for a household cleaner, weed killer, or garden fertilizer there are sections for these as well. How about personal care recipes? Yep, those are in the book too.
The photography is beautiful and draws the reader/cook into the pages.
As always Wanda’s cookbooks are shared from members of the Amish community that gives the reader a feeling of quite simplicity while cooking or baking a dish for a family or cherished friend. Peace and contentment in the kitchen will delight the cooks in your family for years to come.

This is such a fun cookbook! It's full of delicious sounding recipes and lots of really interesting tips that I am anxious to try. The are all types of recipes that are well organized and different from other recipe books that I have. So I am really excited to have this in my collection!

I love the cleaning tips, household suggestions, as well as some canning items that are included. And it also has lots of engaging pictures to help you know how appetizing these food items are. I have several cookbooks from this author, and this one might just be my favorite one!
