I want to start off by saying that I don't consider myself religious by any means, however I do like to think of myself as spiritual. This book hit on the spiritual side through God and has such a beautiful way of delivering messages about marriage and love, yet holds such different perspectives that made me look at love and future choices through new eyes and thoughts.
If one is spiritual and ready to read with an open mind and heart, this book can and will hit you right in the heart - in the best way possible (in my opinion).
A huge thank you to NetGalley, Bob Lepine and B Books for providing me with a copy of this publication, which allows me to provide you with an unbiased review.
This book is just what real marriages need right now. This book give you the tools to love your spouse! I liked how it had lots of opportunities in the book for couples to ask questions to each other. I really appreciated the way the author wrote this book in an easy to read applicable manner! 5 out of 5 stars!
This book was incredibly helpful to me. I have been married several years and went through a bit of a rough spot recently, but through reading Love Like You Mean It, I realized exactly what the problem is. I expected love to be driven by emotions, and when those emotions weren't always completely positive I felt like perhaps the marriage simply wasn't working out. Now I see that the emotions are the cherry on top, and even the marriage is the result and not the causative agent. In reality, it is deeds of service, respectful behavior, and a million other choices made each and every day which will either make or break a relationship. It is going to take time, but I feel that now there is renewed hope in my life thanks to what I have learned here.

I will never forget arriving at the Indianapolis airport for a Revive Our Hearts' conference, walking outside with my mom and grandma to find the car waiting for us, and seeing Bob Lepine himself hop out of the backseat to give us a hand with our suitcases! After experiencing his kindness firsthand, it’s not a surprise to me that his new book, Love Like You Mean It, shares what it means to lay down your life in genuine love. I highly recommend it.
Love Like You Mean It is a wonderful book, unpacking the ten attributes of love mentioned in 1 Corinthians 13. All these chapters hold devotionals for married couples, unpacking the attributes and posing questions to think deeper about every attribute in the reader's life.
