Home for the Holidays was a wonderful, heartfelt story that made you feel good inside! Three sisters travel to Colorado to spend one final holiday at the Juniper Inn together. As they put their lives on hold to get there, they remember wonderful times growing up. Baking Christmas cookies, putting up a Christmas tree, time in the mountains and more! Once they get there the sisters are reminded just how important family is.

This was delightful book to read. The author wrote it from each sisters perspective which made it fun to read, although, it was a little difficult to keep the stories straight in the beginning. Honestly, if you enjoy Hallmark Christmas movies, read this book! It will remind you of a Hallmark movie, which honestly, is a pretty good thing!

Thank you to Netgalley for an ARC in exchange for my review and honest opinions!

Oh, I sure do love a heartwarming holiday story. Add in a storyline with sisters, returning home, family drama & some secrets & I am all in.

One of my favorite holiday books is The Christmas Sisters by Sarah Moraga It is very challenging for me to look at this cover & read the synopsis & not try to compare Home for the Holidays with my believed Christmas Sisters. I will do my best!

The bottom line is I did enjoy this book. Its quick, heartwarming, centers around family & the struggles each sister is facing. I will say the storylines are mostly predictable. While reading it, I did get cozy holiday vibes & I could easily picture the inn, the town & each character.

Read this if you're a fan of Hallmark Movies, want to get into the holiday spirit &/or need to escape for a bit.

For fans of the Winter Street series, Home for the Holidays brings you to the beautiful mountains of Colorado for a Christmas these three sisters won't soon forget.

Dahlia, Magnolia and Rose lead busy, separate lives but when their estranged aunt invites them back to her inn for one last Christmas together they can't resist taking her up on her offer. All three women bring baggage from their lives and and not to mention stress but are able to reconnect with themselves and as a family.

This one had just the right amount of charm, warmth and romance I want when reading a holiday book. While you're reading you can escape to a winter wonderland for a few hours, just like watching a cozy Hallmark movie.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for an eARC in exchange for an honest review.

I really wanted to like this book but could not. The story line was too predictable and the characters were one dimensional. I love a good holiday read and there are much better ones available.

I am a big fan of Christmas/holiday reads. Even in the heat of summer, I enjoy the temporary escape to one of the happiest times of the year. Home for the Holidays is my first Christmas read for 2020. With all the craziness of this year so far, I cannot think of any year I’ve needed my Holiday fix more.

This beautiful story is about the love of three Buchanan sisters. The sisters have been apart for many years, living in different states, and reunite at the request of their Aunt for one more special Christmas at her Colorado Inn. Each of the sisters is experiencing change and challenge in their lives. Dahlia is recently divorced, and her ex-husband has taken their children to Paris for the holidays along with his new, much younger girlfriend. Magnolia has experienced many miscarriages over the recent years and desperately wants a child. Her husband has said that the expense, both monetarily and psychologically, is too great to try again. Rose is the youngest sister and is engaged to marry into one of the most well to do families in her state. She’s unsure if she is making a mistake marrying into this family given that her fiancé’s mother is overbearing and demanding. Will fond memories of childhood Christmases at the Inn, and the joy of reuniting, be just what the sisters need to provide them with clarity about their futures?

I really enjoyed this holiday read. The book flowed effortlessly and the characters were all relatable and well-developed. I could feel the love between the sisters as well as their appreciation of the memories that they had created with one another in their earlier years. I also recognized the level of self-reflection each of the women experienced during their stay. While I enjoyed the moments of romance, I appreciated that this was not the focus of the book. It is my hope that Home for the Holidays will become the first in a series, as I finished the book wanting more.

When their Aunt Sassy invites them for ‘one last Christmas’ at her inn, sisters Dahlia, Magnolia and Rose travel to Colorado to celebrate the Christmas season with her. Dahlia is escaping her first Christmas without her kids, as they have traveled to Europe with her ex-husband. Rose is becoming more confused about her fiancé and the looming expectations of her future mother-in-law. And Magnolia is running from infertility issues. The sisters haven’t visited their aunt in 18 years, ever since their mother cut off all communication with her. As the sister’s gather with their Aunt to help prepare inn for one final Christmas celebration, they start to feel more and more at home at the Juniper Inn.
This was a fun Christmas season read, perfect for an escapist reader.

I really enjoyed this Christmas story that has three sisters reconnecting at their aunt's idyllic inn. It was heartwarming with just enough romance but focused on the sister's relationships with each other and their aunt. Even though it's August, I could feel the crisp, cold snow and the Christmas spirit while reading!

Heartwarming, engaging, and positively beguiling!

Home for the Holidays is a beautifully written, absorbing story that sweeps you away to the beautiful mountains of Colorado in winter and immerses you into the lives of the Buchanan family as they confront the past, accept the things they cannot change, forgive, accept, repair fractured relationships, take chances, move on, and embrace the future.

The writing is effortless and polished. The characterization is spot on with a whole slew of characters that are multi-layered, genuine, compassionate, and endearing. And the plot, including all the subplots, skillfully intertwines and unravels into a delightfully touching tale about life, love, loss, marriage, parenthood, family, secrets, friendship, happiness, self-discovery, romance, and the special bonds between sisters.

Home for the Holidays is without a doubt the perfect festive read that not only highlights the magic of the holidays but reminds us to always live life to the fullest and surround ourselves with those we love.

This story has all the elements for a good holiday read: Christmas in a small, delightful town nestled in the Rocky Mountains, a reunion of family members who had drifted apart, potential romances…and yet something was missing for me.

Three sisters, Dahlia, Magnolia and Rose, each receive a letter inviting them to spend Christmas with an aunt whom they have not seen for 18 years. Originally from Savannah, the sisters have drifted apart as one moved to Minnesota and another to Florida. Each sister is experiencing relationship challenges and the opportunity to return “home” to the Colorado resort of their shared childhood provides an opportunity to reconnect, reflect and contemplate their futures. The story unfolds in alternating chapters from the perspectives of the sisters. The values of family, friendships, and community are highlighted.

One difficulty had experienced is that I never felt fully engaged characters. There was a one dimensional quality to them and the roles seemed a bit clichéd. My second issue was that I was able to surmise the resolution of the relationship dilemmas as they were introduced. In that sense, the predictable outcomes made the story a slow read and, thus, diminished some of the enjoyment. The story concludes on an upbeat note pointing toward further character development, perhaps a strong indication of this being the first in a yet-to-be-written series.

This is my first exposure to this author. I’m not certain that I would seek out more of her work based on this offering.

My thanks to the author, Forever (Grand Central Publishing) and NetGalley for providing the opportunity to review an e-ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Dahlia, Magnolia and Rose are sisters. The are in things going on in their lives that none of them know about. Their Aunt Sassy sends them each gift and asks them to come to the Juniper Inn to spend Christmas with her. The sisters decide to come because of what is going on in their lives. Dahlia missing her kids who are in France with her ex husband. Magnolia wanting a baby but between miscarriages and failed IVF, her husband doesn’t want to try anymore. Rose is planning her wedding but feels like she is losing herself. I enjoyed this book. I loved the sisters and their Aunt. Thank you to NetGalley and Forever Publishing. This is my own opinion.

Home for the Holidays is a beautifully written holiday romance about three sisters traveling to Colorado to spend one last Christmas with their Aunt Sassy at the Juniper Inn in Colorado. Each sister is unique and have their own lives but put everything aside to reunite for a Christmas to remember.

Dahlia, Magnolia, and Rose are sisters that always remember spending time with their Aunt Sassy in Colorado. When they were younger, each Christmas was spent putting up decorations, baking Christmas cookies, and enjoying family time in Colorado. As they got older and created their own lives, those memories are just that. They miss being together in one place and want that feeling of joy and hope back.

When Aunt Sassy sends them all a letter asking them to return to the Juniper Inn, they can't say no. They think their aunt's health is declining and want to make this Christmas count. Each sister is going through their own personal struggles and also uses this trip to heal and escape. Dahlia has always put her kids first and wants to do something for herself again. Magnolia is struggling with infertility and the toll it is taking on her marriage. Rose needs a break from always trying to play the perfect fiance.

I really liked that Sara Richardson wrote from the perspective of each sister. It allowed me to understand them all and appreciate their different personalities. Although I enjoyed the perspectives, I admit that it was a little difficult to follow in the beginning as I was trying to keep up with relationships. But this didn't take away from me being able to connect to the story. Aunt Sassy helped the whole story come together. She is funny, wise, and makes a good matchmaker. I felt all the love she has for all the girls and having them all together again brought her so much joy.

I give Home for the Holidays 4 stars. It is a Christmas romance all about family. The three Buchanan sisters are reminded of the importance of family and what good can come from allowing oneself to be vulnerable. Sara Richardson gave this story so much heart with her endearing characters and charming setting.

Home for the Holidays is the family Christmas story we all have been needing!

3 sisters, 3 different situation, 3 different lives coming together to help their aunt one more time at their family Inn! As Dahlia, Rose and Magnolia come to a cross roads in their life, their aunt sends a letter asking for each girl to come visit her for one last Christmas!

Each sister is going through a mess of their own and when they can’t agree or even see the light at the end of the tunnel new friends and past friends all come together to help bring the Christmas extravaganza to life once more and each girl starts to believe in the magic of Christmas once more!

I loved how this story really focused on the beauty of family especially the bond of sisters but most importantly I love that Richardson really focused on self love! Each sister as they faced a new path struggled with where they were and what they needed to do but once they realized their dreams and realized who they were life started to fall into place! The story focused on making sure that no matter what is going on in life to take time to evaluate and make sure you’re you! Even when you feel it’s too late it never is too late to reconnect with yourself and those around you that you truly love!

It’s the feel good novel of the season and one that will definitely warm the soul this holiday season!

Home for the Holidays by Sara Richardson, published by Forever / Grant Central Publishing, is a stand- alone, sweet story about three sisters and their last christmas together.
This is a new to me author and I'm happy I gave the book a try. I enjoyed reading this slow burn, loved learning more about Dahlia, Magnolia and Rose and their lives before their lives changing.
I liked the storyline and the beautiful writing right alongside with the beautiful words and the feels this story gave me. 4,5 stars.

Richardson is fast becoming one of my favorite authors. I discovered her books about a year ago. Home for the Holidays brings sisters Dahlia, Magnolia, and Rose to Colorado to reunite with their aunt. As girls they spent a lot of time there, but a rift between their mothe ansd aunt ended their visits. The author develops each sister's stories as they help revamp the inn for their aunt. The men in the town are appealing. One sister gets a special holiday surprise. It's a great holiday read.
