Another amazing story about the small town of Heritage and it’s inhabitants.
This is Austin’s story. And Libby.

They seem to be at odds with each other. And yet, there is an undercurrent of something...I enjoyed seeing their relationship progress.

Austin is a troubled man. There is so much going on beneath the surface. Things he needs to learn, deal with, let go. He needs to accept God's forgiveness to be real in his own life.

Libby. I hardly know where to start with her. I enjoyed getting to know her. She's such an enchanting character. She also has some deep things to work through.

And then there’s also a secondary line running through about Nate and Olivia.
The main focus in this book is forgiveness. Grace. Accepting Gods love freely in our lives.
So much truth here. I love how Ms. Faris brings to life all of these themes that are relevant to each and everyone of us. I really appreciate the beautifully depicted word picture of undeserved grace.

When she hears that the small town of Heritage, Michigan, is looking for a new librarian, Libby Kingsley jumps at the opportunity. Little did she know the library is barely more than a storage closet stuffed with dusty, outdated books. What the community really needs is a new building. But the only funds available are those being channeled into the new town square, and the landscape architect in charge of the project wants nothing to do with her plans.

All Austin Williams wants to do is get the town square project finished so he can do right by the family business and then extricate himself from the town that reveres the brother who cost him so much. But the local media and the town's new librarian seem to be conspiring against him at every turn. Will the determined bookworm find her way into his blueprints--and possibly even his heart?

I had a lot of trouble liking Austin during most of the book. He had a lot of anger issues and Whitney didn’t know which Austin would show up. The kind or angry one. Most of Austin’s anger was directed at his brother. The local pastor. But he took his anger out on those around him. He had a lot of work ahead of him to resolve the issues. Whitney had a lot of trust issues she needed to work through. Her former boyfriend ended up robbing the store she worked at and held a gun on her.

It was a good book and I did enjoy the story line.

I was given this book Revell Publishing via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I was not compensated in any way.

This is actually two romances in one book: Libby and Austin, and Olivia and Nathan. Austin and Nathan are brothers and Olivia and Libby are friends. Olivia has loved Nathan ever since she's known him, Libby and Austin have an instant love-hate relationship.

The setting is Heritage, Michigan, where the downtown is being restored to its historic glory. Austin has won the contract to landscape the town square in a last-ditch effort to save from bankruptcy the landscape business that's been in his family for three generations. In the midst of Austin's work, Nathan has volunteered to be Austin's assistant, but consistently fails to show up when he's needed to make things work out for the business.

Libby has been hired as the new town librarian. Her brother's wife set her up with the job and even a place to live--which is next door to Austin and two doors down from her brother's family.

This is the second novel in the Restoring Heritage series by Tari Faris. I was drawn in from the very beginning until I finished the book. The two plot lines intersect and weave together like whole cloth. The setting is charming and makes the reader want to live in Heritage.

There major theme is forgiveness--of yourself and others. Tari does a great job describing how hard forgiving yourself is, and how much of a difference it makes.

I loved this book and I give it five stars, two thumbs up, and a one room school house turned library.

Until I Met You was my first experience with a novel by Tari Faris, and I'm so disappointed in myself that I never got around to reading her first release as I absolutely adored this one and could barely bring myself it put it down. I've long been a fan of Christian authors that write about characters that aren't perfect, and I'm thrilled to now have another author to add to that list. The faith element in Until I Met You is at the forefront of the entire story, but each character deals with struggles and weaknesses that they come to learn can only be conquered through the grace and redemption of our Heavenly Father. The story is beautiful, heartwarming and emotional, and I already know I'm going to have to pick up a print copy of this one to have on my shelves to read over and over again.

I've always thought that it takes a very talented author to have two romances taking place in a single story, and keep them both of equal interest to the reader. I loved Libby and Austin's story; especially the way it gets off to such a rocky start, but I also adored Olivia and Nate's journey to romance, and the way it involves Nate having to come to terms with his shady past and accept the forgiveness that God has graciously extended towards him.

Having Libby be a librarian and a fun loving bookworm was just the icing on the cake of this delightful story, and I especially enjoyed getting to read about her love for Carnegie libraries. This story made me laugh out loud, tear up, and recognize the importance of having faith filled fiction like this one on the market today. I couldn't have enjoyed this one more, and it's getting the highest possible recommendation from me. I'm very much looking forward to going back and reading the first book and the prequel novella in the series, and I'll be on the edge of my seat awaiting the release of book three.

Final Rating: 5/5.

Until I Met You is a charming romantic read packed with valuable lessons and inspiration. I truly appreciate reading fiction with a meaningful purpose that reflects real life. The author did a outstanding job bringing to life Nate and Austin’s struggles with past hurts and bad decisions that nearly destroyed their relationship. Learning to except the grace of God and then in turn learning to extend grace to ourselves and to others is a subject that runs through the lives of the cast of characters. Also, something relevant that the author touches on is key – truth over feelings- It’s best said in these quotes from the book. “But feeling true doesn’t make it true.” “I do the only things I can when faced with a life. I hold on to the truth.”

I received a copy from the publisher through Net Galley. This review is my honest opinion.

Wow. This book was amazing! I loved that it carried on multiple points of view and they all came together and connected beautifully. I was not sure what to expect when I started the book, but boy am I glad that I read this one. It was a great read and I enjoyed getting to know the characters and the town. The story lines were great with just the right amount of push and pull between the characters, and nothing felt forced in the evolution of the relationships. Great job by this author.

I just love the town of Heritage!
I really looked forward to Nate's story since meeting him in the previous book.
I really was pulled in by the dysfunctional sibling dynamic of Austin and Nate.
Nate was facing the stain and guilt of his past and Austin needed to learn to let go of the past as well as embracing forgiveness.
Sometimes I was mad at how Austin was so hard on everyone, then I realized how much he is like how I was. He has the feel of the faithful son in the Prodigal story. And I feel like this story was how it may have been after the brother came home and the years that followed.
It is hard to trust again when you have been betrayed.
I would have liked a few things fleshed out a bit more, but overall I really enjoyed this story!
Having the dual stories going really kept the pace up!
I recieved a copy of this book from the author. All opinions are my own and honest.

I loved the chemistry between Libby and Austin. I like how it was work, not insta love. I like how things broke before they were fixed and in the end it was peaceful.

I received an advance reader copy in exchange for a fair review. These opinions are my own.

Until I Met You was just what I needed to read this week. It was so enjoyable and easy to read with two romances going on. Brothers Austin and Nate have a kind of a Prodigal brothers relationship going on and they both have love interests. This book had an inspirational message of forgiveness. Loved it and I can't wait until the next installment in this series.

A beautifully written inspirational romance. A well crafted plot and believable characters. I fell in love with this town and it’s inhabitants. A great addition to the series. I received an advance ebook from the publisher and this is my unbiased review.

Highly recommended. The characters had depth and dimension. The storyline was not formulaic and it was all well done. I do wish that Nate's story would have been left out to make a separate book.

“Until I Met You” was exactly what I needed. This is a soothing story that I read while on a porch swing and that was the perfect setting. The book is light with just the right amount of drama. I haven’t read the first book in this series so it was my first time in Heritage, and the characters were compelling enough that I will go back and read the first book about our main character, Libby’s, brother Luke. While the story definitely can be read without reading the first, I think the experience would have been smoother if I was familiar with this community beforehand.

It was just an ok book for me. I kind of felt lost at times?! There was a lot of character talking and I'd have to stop to figure out who the heck was talking?! It definitely didn't flow smoothly for me. I'm sure there will be plenty of people who will enjoy reading this ,it just wasn't me. Thank you NetGalley and the publishers for sharing this book with me!

Small towns, romance and a construction project with no budget and a strict deadline - what could possibly go wrong? Throw in a nosy journalist, bad publicity and some miscommunication and everything that could go wrong does. Until I Met You is a sweet and charming story about finding the right person at the wrong time, moving on from the past and learning to make the most of every day and every situation.

Libby Kingsley is a librarian (yay librarians in fiction). She’s feeling pretty down about life and is happy to take a position as the new librarian in Heritage, Michigan. The only problem is the library is more of a desolate basement that should be condemned. She finds the perfect solution - she just has to convince the town and construction company that moving an old building into the new town centre is a good idea. Austin Williams is trying to save his family’s construction company, redesign the town square with no help and little budget and now he has to contend with the ideas of Libby Kingsley. He just needs to make it through the next few months unscathed, but it seems like everything and everyone - including his brother - is against him.

I really liked that Libby and Austin don’t like each other much at the start. Or at all. They really fight and argue. Everything they do is a disaster, from their dogs meeting to the construction project. Actually, their fighting continues for much of the novel as they miscommunicate and jump to conclusions, Austin in particular. He is quick to judge but not to forgive. It is something he is working on. It made their relationship and their characters very realistic.

A large percentage of the book is focused on Austin’s relationship with his brother, Nate. Readers of the series will recognise Nate from book one. He is the young, tattooed paster, firefighter and all round good samaritan, but all Austin sees is someone who never shows for family commitments and who caused so much damage to their lives. Austin has a lot to work through and forgive in his relationship with Nate, but every time he needs Nate it seems like he is being let down again. His frustrations bleed into his growing relationship with Libby and spiral downward again.

This is the second book in the series. There is setting and character crossover, so readers will be eager to continue the story of Hannah and Luke from book one and to get their hands on book three which is set to feature Nate and Olivia.

The publishers provided an advanced readers copy of this book for reviewing purposes. All opinions are my own.

Teri Faris’ latest novel, Until I Met You, was the perfect addition to her Restoring Heritage series. Taking up where the previous novel and prequel to the series left off, we enter a story full of division, tension, romance, and complex family dynamics. Two romances play side by side as the characters seek redemption and new beginnings in a set-ting fraught with years of deep-seated resentment. I loved the interplay between the characters as well as the quirks of the small town setting. And the strong message of forgiveness is not to be ignored!

This book was fast paced and entertaining, with an undeniable message that we all need to hear. I cannot wait to see what Faris will write next!

I received this book from the publisher. All opinions are my own.

Small town romance novels are a favorite of mine. I think the charm and familiarity that authors create for these types of stories is really what endears me to them. Until I Met You is the second book written by Tari Faris featuring the small town of Heritage, Michigan. I wanted to click with this book, but it was a miss for me. The characters were so hard to root for and the plot seemed to be minimal other than wavering romantic interests. I had major issues with one of the main characters, Austin. He was rude, immature, moody, and in my opinion a little verbally abusive to his love interest, Libby. Libby also suffered from character inconsistencies that were hard to ignore. She went from a panic stricken agoraphobic to a jill of all trades it seemed who was ready to tackle anything. She seemed so paralyzed with fear upon her arrival and then mere hours later is cycling down a road with a stranger chatting like an old gal pal. The relationship between Olivia and Nate held the most interest for me. I was anxious to see how their story would develop. Nate was the most likable character in the book. It was fairly juvenile and a bit repetitive that there was jealousy and animosity for Nate on Austin’s behalf. I think that the plot of this book was cute, but the characters back and forth made it hard to enjoy.

There are so many deep issues tackled through this narrative....loss, abandonment, forgiveness, overcoming our pasts, trust.... This is not a light-hearted read, but a good one nonetheless. I feel like it's part of a series, because there were a few places that alluded to other characters' stories that the reader is expected to know, but it didn't detract from the overall story. There are two romances here, playing out back and forth and off of each other, and including a set of brothers who doesn't seem to really know each other anymore, but eventually finds their way to reconnecting. It will be interesting to see if there is another book in this series...and I'll be going back to try and find what I've missed from the other characters before this one.

I’m enjoyed this story but the constant irritation, anger, and childish misbehavior was out of hand!

In the second book (or technically 2.5, because there is also a novella prequel btw) from the Restoring Heritage series, we continue with Luke's sister Libby Kingsley who has just moved to Heritage. She is looking for several things: to be closer to Luke, his wife Hannah, and their new baby, to take a job as the town's librarian, and to hopefully find some peace. When she meets "Mr. Mean Hot Neighbor" Austin, he is in the middle of a family crisis and is also dealing with some serious unforgiveness and resentment issues. Libby is navigating her fears from a major trauma and her propensity towards anxiety. Additionally, she's trying to figure out if Austin is worth the challenge, because he basically picks a fight with her at almost every opportunity.

I found their dynamic very interesting. This is not your typical happily ever after story, and it illustrates some of the challenges one might find when beginning a relationship with people who have issues to work through. It was refreshing to see "real life stuff" not be sugarcoated, because it felt honest without being too dark.

I love the slightly wacky things that happen in this town....the way people care about and show up for others....the community that has been created in the town of Heritage. None of it feels forced or contrived - and it is always a great sign when I want to move there. :)

So here's my 27 cents: YES I recommend this book. FOR SURE, please start with the prequel....then Book 1....then, this great next step in the series. I can't wait to find out what happens next!!
