This book has it all if you are looking for a fun and sexy paranormal romance!! Hot alpha, amazing heroine. The world building is great!
There is nothing more that needs to be said! A solid paranormal erotic romance!!
Love space opera? Want to read about a world filled with sexy dragon shifters? This will be the series to pick up. I'm a fan of Ms. Fay because of the fun world she creates. Her characters are sweet and endearing. Her female characters tend to be feisty and her male characters tend to be constantly in the state of confusion, trying to understand said female. In this new series, we receive a healthy dose of both.
Juniper is an earthling just enjoying the outdoors. When she accidentally ends up in an alien spaceship, this is when she is jetted into a whole new reality. Luckily for her, she ends up with a race of aliens who are aware of humans from earth. And is able to communicate! Yes, there are a few far-fetched plot devices which reference characters from another series to explain how easy it is for Juniper to integrate into this alien world.
The interaction between Tristan, the King of dragon shifters and Juniper is amusing and sweet. It is the universal confusion between males and females. Watching Tristian try to understand an out of his world female is funny because even though they can "speak" in the same terms, their meanings are different. Ms. Fay keeps this story light hearted with her comedic timing. The conflict is an age old one with political alliances and arranged marriages.
This is a great start to the new spin-off series. This can be read without reading the original series, Shadow Quest. This paranormal romance is recommended to dragon shifter lovers who enjoy a bit of space opera.
Ha! Very steamy read, heavy in the sex department but light in the plot. It goes pretty typically with this genre. It’s a fun read and everyone who loves this genre knows what they’re in for.
This book was not one I would normally have chosen, but I'm glad I did.
It was outside my usual genre but I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Action packed, full on , steamy and full of dragons and magical beings. What else could you ask for.
Really enjoyed this one, and I'll be looking our for more by this author too.
I voluntarily read and reviewed this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I have read a few books by this author now and this one is a spin off series from the Shadow Quest series and focuses on Tristan the Dragon and what happens after the death of his father.
On his way back to see his friends and allies, he intercepts an enemy craft, only to find human Juniper onboard and almost instantly his possessive and protective instincts kick in, however he first comes off as a bit dickish.
June is scared, on a craft where she does not understand strange symbols, then boarded my large men who claim to be dragons. Being human she does not really get what that means until she actually sees Tristan transform and gets hurt in the process. She find lots of things hard to reconcile to begin with but seeing another human when they land does help.
The chemistry is certainly there between them and things are not as simple on Tristan's home planet as he may want, but June shows great strength, gets on with his mother and shows compassion when others do not
I am guessing that the other two brothers will also get a book and we get to see a snippet of the next book in which the human female character finds herself in trouble and hurtling into space in an alien craft by accident.
I really enjoyed this book and read it in two sittings as i just needed to read what happened next. Really enjoying this authors work.
The story line is so original and really moves along at a good pace. There are some grammatical errors throughout the book and some odd word choices to describe situations or the characters. The growing attraction between Tristan and June is sweet. There is so much to love about these two and I love that he fought so hard for her. He went to his last resort of going to get the witch, who was locked up in the basement. He was willing to try anything to keep her with him longer. There was even some romance in this story and I loved that! When they rescued the kid in the cave and she was aware of the signed of abuse and trying to tell Tristan about it, I just loved her more! When they made it back to the castle and there was the argument June stepped in on the kid’s behalf and made Tristan see what was going on. The dresses and the food, I want to go there!
This was a light hearted tale, with a sweet and sexy little romance, perfect for idling away a relaxing afternoon.
A. quick, easy paranormal read with well developed characters. Lots of steamy scenes but also tender, emotional moments. June showed compassion that Tristan had never experienced before and that. rocked his world. The ending was very exciting and left the reader wondering what's nex.

Review:
Okay so, Scottish sounding Dragons, witchy-peeps, what I think are the space equivalent of Fae.... all in space. I feel like I’m in a drunk dream. The story is a spin-off from another series (full disclosure- I haven’t read) but that doesn’t detract from the story. The sexual tension is there from the off, it’s easy to follow and a good palate cleanser for when you’ve just finished up a super deep/heavy fantasy read.
It was sexy, quirky and definitely enjoyable. The characters were likeable and relatable. June had a lot of emotional baggage she had to overcome so it was nice to see her let her guard down. Tristan carried around a lot of guilt, it was nice to see a male lead that wasn’t all dark and brooding and obnoxiously perfect.
That being said, the book could definitely benefit from another round of editing, there were a lot of typos and a few inconsistencies (Tristans eye colour changed from Gray to Green) which hindered the flow of the book slightly.
Overall, I’d definitely recommend Tempting the Dragon King for all my fellow smut-loving fantasy/sci-fi lovers!
I love Kiersten Fay. This book is a spin-off from her Demon Possession books which I loved. The heroine stumbles upon an enemy spaceship and is sent into space, where she is discovered by the hero. She has to up her learning curve very quickly which I enjoyed. Initially she was terrified, but she found her footing quickly and became a heroine I enjoyed. The book did not have the same bite as the Demon Possession books, but I enjoyed it all the same and look forward to any upcoming books in this series.
Solid 4 stars.
I rolled my eyes at the beginning.........Juniper is hiking on earth and stumbles onto something she thinks is a cave but it turns out to be an alien spacecraft.......But i kept on reading and it turned out to be quite a page turner. Not in a fast paced exciting way but the story-line grabbed my attention and kept me wanting to continue.
This is the story of Tristan, dragon shifter and reluctant king. Juniper, strong and sassy but a little alone. Both have lost a love-one and blame themselves.
The planet building was imaginative and the characters are very likable. Conversation and the interaction between the characters was smooth.
This was a well written book and i would recommend reading it, especially If you enjoy light science fiction / fantasy insta love romance. If you want to read a bit of fun for a few hours, this is perfect. I will definitely read the next in the series.
This was a readable piece of fluff for a lazy day when you just want some escapism.
Human Juniper (June) went exploring in a cave when she was hiking, but it was really a spaceship. she has accidentally managed to launch the ship into space and with no knowledge of how to control the ship, has resigned herself to dying alone in space, as she has no food or drink either.
Tristan Okora is the newly crowned King of the Dragon Shifters who has ascended to the crown because his father has been killed by one of their enemies, he is feeling a bit anxious about having to take on the kingdom, and a potential arranged marriage, to strengthen his position. When the story opens he is on his way to visit an ally.
When he discovers an enemy ship drifting in space, he is determined to treat the sole passenger, June, as the enemy. When his lovely mother intervenes, he slowly comes round to accepting her, and soon they succumb to their mutual attraction.
How will Tristan reconcile the needs of his kingdom and the alliance he was considering, and his rapidly growing feelings towards June. How will June forget her unhappy childhood and believe in Tristan's feelings for her.
This was a light hearted tale, with a sweet and sexy little romance, perfect for idling away a relaxing afternoon.
I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book and all opinions are my own.
The novel opened with an exciting battle scene that instantly drew me in. In the very start of the book we see Tristan thrust into the role as King by the death of his father. Juniper Is thrust into space when she Is out hiking and accidentally enters a spaceship. She expects to die, but is rescued by Tristan. They are almost immediately attracted to each other.
They do not dance around before being together. They pretty much get right to it. This was a quick and enjoyable read. It was a good plot with some twists and turns along the way. I would recommend it to readers of Susan Hayes and Cara Bristol.
I was provided an ARC of this book by NetGalley for an honest review of the book.
Dragon’s oh my, lol and handsome ones at that, Tristan is king of his clan. What happens when he finds a earth girl on an enemy’s spaceship? Kyra fears that her life is going to end on this ship. The last of the food is gone! What has she done by pushing buttons that she couldn’t read. Is this were it ends? Read the book!

Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for the gifted copy, all thoughts are my own
So.. I sat and ignored life and read this book in one day. I couldn’t put it down! The idea of shape-shifting dragons in space sounded really odd, but somehow it works.
The banter between the characters was great. I laughed, rolled my eyes, shed some tears and perhaps even shouted at my phone. Lol
If you enjoy books with shifters, banter, an extremely persistent king, battles or steamy scenes then this could be the book for you!
⭐⭐⭐⭐
This was this first of Kiersten Fays books I have read and it certainly wont be the last. An exciting mix of science fiction and fantasy. Tristan is a reluctant Dragon King who is trying to be the King his people want but suddenly is confronted with a human that forces his personal world into chaos. A quick read with lots of fun and flirting.
Love this! June is bold, strong-willed and feisty. The King is intrigued, instantly drawn to her and knows how to romance her. They both have some family baggage which I thinks makes them even more relatable to one another. Exciting, magical, intense, heartwarming and even a bit of humor, well-rounded paranormal romance. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Human Juniper Jacobs gets stuck on a spaceship that autopilots its way across the path of dragon king Tristan Okora. This was a quick read with a lot of drama and action as well as light and fun moments. I loved the story of how the characters meet and also the development of the plot. The struggle of people from two different worlds trying to figure out their feelings and how they might end up together. I also loved the ending of this book. I did feel like the customs of this far off world in space were too similar to what they are on Earth. I would have liked some differences in how marriage, relationships, and other customs are handled. Also, the male character, Tristan, spoke like he was Scottish. This seemed out of place a little bit.
So when a book puts tears in my eyes I feel some type of way. I mean you don’t have to make a bih cry to make me like your book. Dang!
But here you went all out and did it.
I really like Tristan and June just so go together. Lots of action, some drama, and a few sexy times! This is so worth the price of this book! Grab it. Don’t read any other reviews but this one and get this book. S/N this is a spinoff to another series didn’t know that when I requested this book. Anywho, it doesn’t matter you will understand everything that is going on. One bad bih thought she was badder than another bigger better bad bih (June) learned her lesson from messing with her.
So yeah 5 stars is what this book needs. Especially, when your love of your life murders anyone that would try to harm you. Just gives you some feels. When he said, “ execute them and bring me their heads!” I was like this is true to the bone love!

I received an ARC of the book in exchange for a honest review.
Note: the book is technically the first in a spin off however it mentions previous character alot. Although technically the book is a standalone, I wouldn't read it as such. However, ai wouldn't recommend this book at all.
Honestly, the book was going well until about the 62% mark. Tristan and June had some chemistry and I like how the author is taking the book.
***Spoilers."***
However, I hate the trope of a other woman being in the picture. Technically speaking Tristan is sort of engaged. And the other woman is a complete bitch.
Which is expected and tiresome to read about. I was so annoyed at this point that I decided not to read anymore.
