Leslie North consistently brings great characters and passionate romance to life. As a big fan of North's, her name provokes an automatic one-click from me. I am always entertained. Highly recommend.
Marley had found something wonderful and unexpected that fateful night when she had gained her freedom. Her mother was angry with her because of the change of heart, she rallies some of the townfolks, and together they tried to ruin it for Marley by being spiteful, hurtful, and mean. Marley was a softy at heart, but she was also determined to live her own life, by her own rules, it was all she ever wanted. Dean Gave her that, and more, but their inability and fear of embracing what they had almost cost them. These two had a hard battle on their hands, but the outcome was worth it.
A mutual attraction, a one night stand, a surprise pregnancy, resulting in a fake engagement, new compromises for the future and deep emotional feelings of love, that take the fake out of it all.
Finding their future life together in this emotional, romantic story of love, commitment and happiness, with a happy ever after ending.
Ah!
I enjoy Leslie North books and this one was no different.
Easy to read and had a strong storyline (if not a little predictable in places). I like that the book had the perspectives of both the main characters (Marley and Dean) and wasn’t all one sided when they both faced their own issues in what was holding them back from a “real” relationship.
Thank you for the opportunity to read this book.
The Cowboy's Pregnant Fake Fiancee
by Mary Sue Jackson and Leslie North.
The book is about Marley and Dean, she is celebrating her break up from long term boyfriend and ends up on her way to having too much to drink and meets Dean a famous rodeo star. s
She is the only one in the bar who doesn’t know who he is. They end up having a fling and she ends up pregnant so to save her reputation and his they have a fake engagement. Unfortunately in a small town everyone wants to interfere then the trouble starts.
Quick read very enjoyable read with plenty humour and twist in the story .
A story of choices, The Cowboy’s Pregnant Fake Fiancée is an enjoyable read. I like the characters and found the story engaging and would recommend this to readers.
Dean and Marley’s story. Overall a quick and easy read, but would have liked it better when I was younger. Some of the angst of youth doesn’t have the same impact when a person is in her 50s. Would recommend this book.

Genre: Romance, General Fiction (adult).
Well, like many others in these weird times, the uncertainty of life has affected my reading, and sometimes I'm finding it hard to concentrate on a story. I usually avoid this type of read, scarred in memory from the old 60's/70's M&B mum used to read. Of course M&B has moved forward and as I liked the sound of this I gave it a try. It turned out to be just what I needed, a sweet romance, some humour, a little angst and an easy to read story.
Dean, in the spotlight at the top of his game for a few years now, but I could still feel his need to prove to himself he made his own life, and his insistence that unlike his dad no-one was changing it. He's got a real chip on his shoulder about his childhood home and the lady his dad married after Dean's mum died.
I could understand him, he's got no deep hidden corners, he's a charmer, a grafter and that's worked well for him. Injury has sidelined him for a bit and he's just bought a ranch in the town where he met Marley for a one nighter. Usually he can move on easily, but somehow Marley has stayed in his thoughts. Then he learns of the consequences of that night....
Marley, she was so sweet, such a genuine lady, and always out to please her mum, to live up to what feels like impossible expectations. She veered off that track though when she split with Trevor, and mum and her friends haven't forgiven her for it.
I loved Marley, but her mum was a true horror. I didn't understand why she was so controlling, it was clear she loved Marley, thank goodness Marley's sister was far more independent, and she was such a great help to Marley.
I felt their dad was a cop out, didn't understand how he could just sit back and let his wife be so awful to Marley. Still, folks are weird, and though this is booklandia, real life has folk like that too.
I loved the day to day stuff, the town and their little battles, her ex and his blind insistence they would get back together, and of course Marley and Dean together. It was clear they were suited, they had a very hot attraction for each other, but also respected each other. Still, Dean's lived a long while alone and being a couple calls for some changes to his life, but he didn't always see it.
Stars: Four, a sweet romance, some humour, a little angst and an easy to read story.

Excellent read involving an aging rodeo star and his one night stand. The townies, family and ex, with their horrible attitudes, make Marley their favorite target. The title and cover are unfortunate, but the story is interesting and of course there is the romance, steam and requisite HEA. Add to your TBR list.
I love Leslie North's books and love the series that she does
Love the characters and stories
Great ending
Thoroughly recommend
Marley and Dean are so worried about what others see that it practically ended their relationship before it even started. They each had some growing and compromising to do. The Cowboy's Pregnant Fake Fiancee, is full of busy bodies that made this book pretty funny.
