This was a cute little book about taking adventures and using your imagination. I really enjoyed it and I think a lot of others will too.
I received a free ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
A cute story but not that well written. The pictures are okay.
This is a cute book about a group of children making friends with a cloud. It is a rather odd way to show acceptance, inclusion and emotions dealing with friendship. I read this book to my grandchildren and they listened quietly. I asked a few questions along the way and they really did not engage much. A great concept, but this book was just okay for us. The illustrations were large, colourful and showed emotion which added to the story.
A cloud as a guest ,what could be more fun than this.I think it had way too long text for kids.Illustrations were average.Full marks for concept of the story .
Sweet book but too many words per page for the age range. This was sweet but just didn’t hold my interest.
30 Minutes of Rain? That’s a Lot of Lemonade!
This is a sweet story about three children who notice a single cloud in the sky and figure that it must be lonely. As it slowly makes its way to them, the sister tries to catch its attention. The children invite the cloud to play with them, which it does even though it has a hard time holding toys and helping them build a sandcastle. Everybody's having so much fun they don't realize how late it is getting. The kids have to go home for supper. The cloud is sad at first to lose its new friends, but then the children invite it home, where they do their best to make it comfortable. The cloud discovers that he loves lemonade. But soon, the cloud can sense that he will rain soon, so he must leave. The children watch as the cloud drifts away and starts to release rain.
This book covers several themes, like having sympathy or empathy for someone or something, friendship, and even perseverance, as the cloud had to work hard to fit in and play as the kids did. The illustrations are well done—the cloud is adorable—and support the text well. All in all, it's an imaginative story that reinforces good values.
An exquisite story about friendship. The children spot a small, lonely cloud floating past and befriend it. Alan Matkovic engages all the senses with is vivid, descriptive language which will extend the reader’s vocabulary as well as deepen their understanding of the world around them. The bold, colourful illustrations will capture a child’s imagination and keep the reader turning the pages. The ideal book to read aloud to your child at bedtime.
The lonely cloud meets a group of children at the playground. He gets so excited when they ask him to play. I love the creativity behind this story. It promotes inclusion and to keep practicing when things are hard.
I received a copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review via netgalley and the publishers.
This is a really cute picture book for children aged 3-8 years about a lonely cloud who is befriended by three children.
This book teaches children about inclusion and kindness and how being kind can make the giver and the receiver of the act of kindness happy.
The illustrations were lovely and well detailed and the story is light and fun to share.
There's really nothing wrong with this book. It just never managed to catch my attention the way I want a book to.

A sweet picture book about some children who befriend a cloud.
What an adorable story! Really enjoyed reading this to the kids.
Having the cloud as the outsider was a great idea. The kids were intrigued by this idea and that clouds can be real.
I found some parts of the story a little long and would start to lose the kids attention, but overall great story about inclusion and making friends.
