I really like this book for beginners. I find essential oils very overwhelming. Robinson breaks out 15 oils to focus on for wellness. I have found other books that make the idea of getting started inaccessible just because of the volume of oils suggested. The book also includes mixtures for various ailments and overall health.
What an awesome essential oil reference! I am "relatively new" to essential oils, having started actively using them over the last 8 months. I found this book so helpful and learned a ton! The bath soak, rollerball, and diffuser recipes will also come in handy for me. I liked how the 15 oils highlighted in this book were detailed and their properties explained. I would highly recommend this book for essential oil users and those interested in aromatherapy. It is well organized, easy to follow, and easy to read... and most importantly- packed full of great information! I will keep this book on hand and be referencing it for sure!
Thank you to the publisher and to Net Galley. My review opinion is my own.
I have used essential oils for many years for holistic healing and am always seeking information to further my knowledge. This was a great book to further your training and learn new uses of essential oils. The author has also included safety of oils and what can be toxic. I enjoyed the historical chapter on oils and the many receipes the author included. I will be using the receipes in my practice. I enjoyed this book and found it very informative
I highly recommend this book for all interested in learning about essential oils .
I have always been interested in essential oils and holistic healing. I saw this book offered on Netgalley and had to give it a try. I enjoyed the information provided on many essential oils, their uses, the three means of deploying them and the history behind them. This book does not just skim, it provides useful information. I learned so much more than the cursory knowledge I have picked up from other books.
I liked the arrangement of the book, the recipes provided, substitutions incase an oil is not suited to an individual. I also liked how the author pointed out not all essential oils are safe for everyone or your pets. I also found it enlightening to learn there isn’t a certified approver except the USDA for organic oils.
I will be looking more deeply at the ingredient labels before my next purchase of essential oils.
I received an advance copy of this e-book and plan on using it as a reference book. Thank-you to the author and Netgalley for offering this book for review. I am not required to leave a positive review.
