An interesting book with quite convincing arguments and thought exercises. I worry that the title will unnecessarily put people off, and think that the subtitle needs to be more persuasive, so that it is a more comfortable fit with the key buying demographic.

Improvise is a great reminder that asking Yes and (where could this lead) is a far better plan that shutting a fledgling idea down (or putting it down).

Essentially the book is about tolerating uncertainty (because the 15 ideas after the first twenty are scientifically shown to be better) until you come up with something good.

Coming at it with the mindset of an improvisor is ... Freeing but also a bit hard to take seriously. That's because I grew up watching Sandy Togswig spontaneously burst into improvised verse on Whose Line is it Anyway....

I will need to divest myself of years of that before I can use this in the office. However, those with different memories should find this a fresh way of developing an innovators mindset.
