I enjoyed this book from the start, Hannah’s character really grabbed me as she’s so likeable.
Set in Sweden to begin with it really gives the wintery/Christmas feeling.
After an old friend drops by her shop, Nico is in her life. Nico character I really liked, although feel there should possibly be a trigger warning for some as ED is mentioned. Being a dad to Josie and having to take Marie, his ex wife second child, the relationship that develops with them through the book is lovely.
Hannah has to return home after a change in her circumstances and to help at home. Hannah develops more when she gets home, starts to stand up for herself.
Where does it leave her and Nico? Will their friendship develop after her brothers wedding?
What will become of little Marie?
A fantastic story that leaves you smiling.

My favourite time of the year and Sue Moorcroft has not disappointed me. An absolutely wonderful feel-good Christmassy story. Makes you warm right through even though it starts in Stockholm. Hannah’s family live in England and her brother Rob worries about her. He asked a friend to pop into her shop whilst in Stockholm to check on her. Hannah remembers him from her childhood days, when she was the envy of her school friends, as Nico was considered drop dead gorgeous. The years have certainly been kind to him, in the looks department. Hannah is forced to give up her shop so unfortunately, she has to back to Middledip to be with her family until she works out what to do next. It is terrific to read about true family values. Unbeknown to her Nico has also moved there. Will there be a budding romance between them or does Nico have too much baggage? This is certainly a must-read book. Sit back, relax and find out what happens to Hannah and Nico. It is certainly an adventure.

When Nico and Hannah meet after many years, in a little fancy good shop in Stockholm, they enjoy renewing a friendship formed many years ago.
Nico had been Hannah's brothers ice hockey playing friend.
Nico lives in England with his little girl Josie and Hannah lives in Stockholm with her boyfriend.
However when Hannah's personal and professional life is turned upside down and Nico finds himself with another child to look after they find themselves meeting up again and becoming more involved in each other's lives.
A nice story with a Christmas twist. Some parts are a little upsetting and difficult to read but generally I enjoyed it.

Christmas books can be enjoyed anytime anywhere. Very well written and flowed well. This is becoming one of my favourite authors

This is a lovely romance story with a bit of travel between Sweden and a small English village, a woman who is about to be uprooted, and a single father who is forced to take care of his substance abusive ex-wife’s young child and their own child. Overall, good story, but I lost a bit of interest toward the end when Hannah decides to leave just before Christmas instead of talking through the problem. I’d give it 4.5 stars.

Christmas Wishes by Sue Moorcroft is a delightful Christmas read set in Sweden. We meet Hannah who is currently in a relationship, when her old boyfriend Nico shows up. Will they rekindle their old flame? I found myself thinking will she or won't she? You will have to read this and find out. Curl up in your favorite chair, with a blanket and hot chocolate and travel vicariously to Stockholm as you get ready to ring in the Christmas season. Don't miss out on this one.

This was a lovely winder, gloomy day read. I read it in one afternoon sitting. I loved learning about the alternative traditions and festivities of another culture and found the characters to be believable and charming.
It is a story of second chances and taking a risk on love and friendship. Thank you

A fabulous feel-good read for any time of the year with unusual characters and a unique storyline. This novel will remind you that despite the inherent unpleasantness that lurks in some people there is more of the good to be found, and sometimes in the most unexpected places and people.

A lovely story that keeps you involved from the beginning right through until the final page. I found the content to be well told bringing in health and social issues dealt with interestingly. Definitely recommended to those readers who enjoy reading this type of book.

This is a lovely festive book, but it's more than that. It can be read at any time if you are looking for family drama, heartwarming stories and romance. Set in Sweden and Middledip a familiar setting to regular readers. The characters are believable and easy to empathise. You are quickly immersed in their stories and want them to find happiness. Hannah is a quirky but entirely lovable character. Nico is focused entirely on his family, and the vulnerable, which makes him so appealing.

Hannah and Nico' reunion is realistic, and the gentle pacing believably reflects their deepening relationship. A vivid cast of characters, adds to the story's authenticity. They provide a believable balance of humour, poignancy, and romance.

Relatable characters and realistic stories filled with heart make this an enjoyable read.

A cozy Christmas story about a man (Nico) and a woman (Hannah) and how they are both dealing with a lot of their own stressors but are able to bring their stories together. A quick fun read.

Delightful Christmas set book that warranted a weekend of binge reading underneath a cozy blanket. Would have liked it to be a bit less lengthy then it was.

Female protagonist Hannah lives and runs a store in Stockholm, when she runs into Nico, her borthers best friend. Both are facing their own challenges which see them end up back home in Middledip. They obviously care for one another, but the challenges they come across seem to see them destined to be apart.

I absolutely love Sue Moorcroft's writing. The characters are strong and inviting, I enjoyed the story being set partly in another country, it was very festive! More Sue Moorcroft for me this year!

I have read a few Christmasy books this year, but this has been by far my favourite. I love Sweden and languages in general so having part of the book set in there and Swedish words throughout the book was lovely. The story of Hannah and Nico was sweet and lovely. I absolutely loved Maria's little antiques and her relationship with Mydad and Josie.

Years ago, Hannah met Nico at school, and he quickly became her brother’s best friend. But years have passed and she’s living in Stockholm with her boyfriend and running her own shop – a bit of her own dream. But things aren’t always what they seem, and her relationship and her shop are both in jeopardy even as she reunites with Nico and the two reminisce and enjoy a visit.

A few months later, Hannah has returned to Middledip and is at loose ends, when suddenly Nico turns up – having moved there as well. While she’s still working out the repercussions of her shop’s closing and her relationship ending, Nico has moved to Middledip with a few surprises. These two have plenty to work on, a huge attraction, and plenty of issues to work out.

Like most of Moorcroft’s stories, the people are flawed, human and wholly engaging. From Nico’s daughter and ‘son’, to Hannah’s struggles with her ‘failures’ in business, as well as the townsfolk and the slowly developing relationship between the two, this is a story that incorporates heavier issues without losing the essential hopefulness and opportunity for growth and new starts aided by the magic of the season.

A cute romance story with all the Christmas feels. Moorcroft touched on some difficult topics such as eating disorders and addictions, but she managed to do it in an informative and meaningful way. Her imagery of Sweden was glorious - it's like we were walking the streets with the characters. I can't wait to read the next one!

Christmas Wishes by Sue Moorcroft was a great book that hooked me in and got me feeling all Christmassy. Set back in the village of Middledip, it was nice to read about a few familiar characters. Another great book by Sue.

A very charming read, sweet, engaging, great characters, and a wonderful story that flowed wonderfully and kept me interested until the very end.

A really lovely read.

The premise was really intriguing when there was already mention of substance abuse, eating disorders and child-care problems . It was wonderful to have diverse characters but, in my opinion, the execution was not done well enough. My favourite part of the book was the scene related to little Maria, she was really adorable.

As a matter of fact, I don’t read much romance novels. I do however want to read something Christmassy. Unfortunately, this didn’t work for me. The relationship between the two lead characters (Hannah and Nico) felt really superficial. They both had a huge conflict in their lives that took up way too much page space. Apart from it there was not much to the story. I started skimming text towards the end. I didn’t feel like I was fully immersed in the story. I don’t like to leave a poor response, but it is what it is!

Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for the chance to read this book in exchange for an honest review.
