With Grace Carter and Leigh Moss, Caz Finlay has not only given us some really good reading, she's writing the next TV super series!! These two women dominate their world from two differing sides but are forced by circumstances...amd loyalty....to help each other.

Felt a bit hard to get into - so many people and you're left wondering who everyone is and how they all fit in and why... The start thus felt like a huge info dump and also like the reader was expected to already know who these people are and also what they are (a bit like completely missing the intro and thrust into the thick of things). So this made it hard to get into. I can see how this same approach would've worked great on screen when you'd be able to put a face to the name and then move along, but this one was confusing, to say the least, and I didn't get a real feel of the danger and stakes. It's the same vibe as Martina Cole books, but it just felt a bit too rushed and trying to put us right into the action too quickly

I love gangland crimes and this author absolutely knows how to keep the readers entertained. A book by her means reading, reading, reading and please leave me alone because it's such a gripping story.

It's great to see a woman at the helm of this ship. She is hard as nails for those who treat her firm and her family badly, but she is soft as a puppy where her family is concerned. She fights like a lioness for what she loves and against what she hates.

I really enjoy the scheming and the set ups. They are soo good I was thinking: is it for real or is it part of the plan? I was hoping it was not turning into the ultimate betrayal but indeed meant to set up a trap. It was just brilliant!

Sometimes you are so overwhelmed by grief, there is nothing that matters anymore. You do whatever you can to forget the pain you feel and it helps… for a while at least. But in trying to forget the pain you also forget about and neglect the good ones. Time to pull yourself together! Hold on to the good memories and start making new happy ones.

More, please. 5 stars

Caz Finlay does it again in the fourth instalment of the Bad Blood series. Another gritty, gangland novel that will have you gripped from the first page.

Liverpool Loyalty is another brilliant follow up to the previous books and written with the same intensity and suspense. Caz Finlay has a great ability to leave you guessing throughout with plenty of twists and turns. Liverpool Loyalty was no exception to this style of writing and with the introduction of new characters Alastair and Jock (the Essex equivalent to Grace and the Carter clan), the suspense throughout was palpable.

I shouldn’t like Grace and her lifestyle but I can’t help routing for her. She quite simply is a bad ass and I am wholeheartedly here for the adventure!

I can’t wait for the next instalment. Thanks to One More Chapter and NetGalley for my copy in exchange for an honest review.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ Enjoyable and easy to read if a bit predictable- especially if you have read any of the previous books.

However I do like the main character- a classic gangster book.

Liverpool Loyalty is the fourth book in this series, and it is without a doubt an absolute page turner.
In this latest instalment we find Grace fighting for Connor and Jake following their arrest, and them both being on remand for the murder of Billy Johnston. Grace is determined to do whatever it takes to save them from a prison sentence

This book is full to the brim with action, along with twists and turns that will have you hooked from the start. The characters are well developed and believable, along with a perfectly paced storyline, it is impossible to not find yourself fully immersed in this book.

This is the fourth brilliant episode of this series and what a corker it is.

We're back with the Carter family, Grace and Michael as the heads of the gangland firm, and Grace's son Jake and her stepson Connor learning the trade.

This gangland novel is set in Merseyside, Liverpool.

The boys have been arrested on a murder charge and Grace and the family solicitor Faye Donovan are trying to get them out. Faye is known as a rottweiler in the legal world and is tough as nails and clever. The officer in charge is an old adversary of Grace's DI Leigh Moss whom many years ago Grace saved her life but this time around DI Moss is adamant she wants to see Jake and Connor behind bars.

The Johnston brothers are a wannabe firm that wants to take over and are causing the Carter family problems, they have been stitched up by their elder brother who has gone on the missing list, with money owed by the brothers to an Essex underworld boss, Alistair Macgrath. This is where the story starts to knit together.
What a belter of a book, Caz just gets better and better with her stories.
I wanted to read it all in one go as it gripped me to the end. Very much worth 5 stars and lots more.
Thank you NetGalley for allowing me to read and review this excellent book. xx

Welcome back Grace Carter it's been a wee while since we last spoke lol. #LiverpoolLoyalty is the 4th book in the Bad Blood series involving Grace and Michael Carter written by Caz Findlay I really couldn't wait for this one as I was anxious to see if Grace could keep what she's worked so bloody hard for, We begin with a bang right where we left off in #HeadOfTheFirm.

Starting with both of their boys Connor Carter and Jake Conlon having just been released from prison after being on remand for the murder of Billy Johnson thanks to the firms pet lawyer Faye Donovan doing what she does best and what she gets paid for. The lawyer isn't the only person that was on the payroll. there's a couple of police officers as well as a judge, it pays to have the 'filth' in your pocket for times such as these.

We must remember that it's a mans world Grace runs in and she's had be smarter than your average gangster to get where she has. Grace is the captain of her own ship making her own decisions. Men from other patches have foolishly assumed because she's a mere female playing at the gangster life folk have thought that she's an easy mark but oh my don't they learned the hard way!

If you enjoy books written by authors such as Kimberley Chambers, Mandasue Heller and Marnie Riches you should definitely give Caz Findlay a whirl but I think it would be better to begin at the beginning, it will help with all the background on the characters within the pages..

Read for an honest review. Thank you Ms Findlay, #Netgalley and #HarperCollinsUK and #OneMoreChapter

If you love Martina Cole, Kimberley Chambers, Jessie Keane and Jacqui Rose (to name but a few) you'll love Caz Finlay. This is a gritty gangland saga with a female boss as the central character, (the fourth in the series) and it's is a fast paced great read with a good few twists and turns to keep you hooked. Being from Liverpool made this book even more enjoyable for me to read as I could picture exactly where the locations were when mentioned. The only disappointment that I had when reading this book was realizing that I hadn't discovered Caz Finlay's work before now my next step is to go back and read books 1-3 in the series and then wait patiently for book 5!

I wish I had read the earlier books in this series to get a deeper understanding of the characters. It is a punchy, gritty, clever storyline ,with a likeable lead character in Grace. It defies your expectations of gangland. Great that it was set in Liverpool but it left me craving for more local colour. i will definitely go back and read the earlier books in this series

Another 5 star read under Caz Finlay's belt! More twists, turns & plots in the lives of Grace & Michael Carter, the undisputed bosses of the underworld of Liverpool. Absolutely gripping, as always, with a little teaser for the next book?! Can't wait! Quoting a line from the book... "Here's to Liverpool loyalty" ...

I usually prefer stand alone novels to a series but I certainly make an exception when it the Bad Blood series by Caz Finlay.
Having read the first three books in the series I was eagerly awaiting book four. I certainly wasn't disappointed. It follows on seamlessly from the last book and I was gripped from page one. I don't want to give away any spoilers but I can thoroughly recommend this book and many thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for the advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

Bad Blood #4

Connor and Jake have been arrested and Grace is doing everything in her power to get them released. Meanwhile, after being double crossed by their brother, Bradley, the Johnston brothers are trying to evade Essex underworld boss, Alistair MacGrath. DI Leigh Moss wants Connor and Jake charged with the murder of Billy Johnston. But Leigh and Grace have history. Leigh owes Grace big time. Will Grace be able to call in a debt?

Grace Carter and her family are back with a bang. The story starts where the previous book left off. You can't help but like the Carter family and you will find yourself rooting for them all the way. This is a fast paced and twist filled thrilling read. We are introduced to some new characters in this book. Caz has quickly become one of my favourite authors. This is a fantastic book and a fabulous series. I highly recommend it.
