It took me a while to get through this devotional mainly because I wanted to use it as the author intended it be. I enjoyed Anderson's leadership approach to the book of Joshua and it gave me the opportunity to discover other parts of Joshua's story that rarely highlighted. Nonetheless, I felt that "Leading Where You Are" seemed more of an accompanying guide to a whole book than a study alone study.

First time reading a book from this author. Took a little to get into reading. Overall, good book covers a great topic.

This review is more of an overview of this Bible study. Here’s my disclaimer: I read through much of the content, but I did not actually do the full Bible study itself before writing this review. However, because I did read much of this from an ebook copy, I want to buy a printed copy and schedule a time to do this Bible study with a small group. It looks like an excellent, detailed, thoughtful study of Joshua, with the main emphasis being on leadership. I loved the fact that before the author actually begins the study, she took the time to explain in detail how to do the study and provide links to excellent additional resources, She also discusses some the different translations of the Bible, and I found this very helpful. This study will make you dig deeper into your Bible and take the time to absorb all the lessons along the way. I’m guessing it would take 20-30 minutes each day to complete a lesson. As I said before, this one is going on my list of next year’s Bible studies.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions are my own.

( received complimentary e-copy in exchange for review )
Since this was a ' read-to-review ', I did not take 7 weeks with this title. However, I am certainly going to schedule at least a full 7 weeks, as this study is very deep. Cannot wait to soak up all that is offered! Highly recommended!

I am currently working my way through “Leading Wherever You Are” and am loving it so far! I love how Anderson lays out in the introduction with apps and Bibles to reference throughout the study, and that she also shares how to navigate them. She reminds us early on in the study that by being a leader, it is our job to “raise up the next generation to take our place.” That is such a great reminder of what it is to be a great leader. Anderson does a great job presenting questions throughout this study to challenge us and to push us to dig deeper. Her study is not one you just read through and answer from the text, she makes the reader do some research that allows the reader to find greater understanding. She wants us constantly referring to our Bible and various translations I love that she includes a family tree for Joshua. There are so many names throughout the Bible and I often get confused by their connections. I'm learning practical ways to build my own leadership skills to lead well in all areas of my life through her study. Highly recommend!

Wow, Teresa has gone above and beyond to make all the books in this study approachable for someone who is just starting out with digging in deep. It’s easy to follow, not intimidating yet packed full of truth. A life changer. I have a feeling this is one I’ll be coming back to regularly.
