as hard as i try, elin is just not for me. love her podcast though. will give another one of her series or standalones a try.
Troubles in Paradise by Elin Hilderbrand is a captivating read perfect for fans of romantic and suspenseful stories that explore the complexities of family relationships, secrets, and love, set against the idyllic backdrop of a Caribbean island, making it a must-read for anyone who enjoys a good mystery and a satisfying conclusion to a trilogy.
I really enjoyed this whole series, I am a huge Elin Hilderbrand fan. Out of this series this was probably my least favorite, however I still rate it a 4.75. I loved how the series was wrapped up and we got more answers to everything we were wondering about the helicopter crash.
If you love Elin Hilderbrand, this title is for you, though I strongly suggest picking up the first book in the series before this one.
As always, Elin Hilderbrand makes me immediately want to travel to the beach and stay in touch with my friends and family. Just with her Nantucket books, she sets the scene so perfectly and draws me into the character's world. Her books are so well-written that I want to block off my day and just live in her world for the afternoon.
Another amazing book by the notorious Elin Hilderbrand, and this spectacularly rounded out the Winter In Paradise series. I loved it. I loved the characters, the setting…literally everything about this book. I felt as if I were there and when the book was over, I wanted to travel there. I wanted to become part of the story. If you have not picked up this series, make sure you do! While this can be read as a standalone, it is so much better read in order as a series!
Elin Hilderbrand is one of the queens of summertime books and this was no exception. I enjoyed the setting, all the summer vibes and the story was lovely as well. I am honored to have received this through Netgalley, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Typically, by the third book in the series, the author lacks a robust story or characters to continue at the same level as before. This is an exception. Trouble in Paradise, set in the idyllic Caribbean, by Elin Hilderbrand is another great story following the Steele family. I truly enjoyed the mix of suspense and family drama found within this conclusion novel of the series.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for a copy of this e-arc. I really enjoyed this series and the characters. I only wish that the story could continue after the hurricane. I would like to see how their lives develop together in St John.
Thank you for this arc. I finally got around to finishing this series. I have to say book #3 is the best! I enjoyed Elin Hilderbrand's writing and how the characters developed over the whole series. IF you want to escape to some place warm during the winter pick up this book.
Oh I was so happy to read this book and so sad to finish it!! I love Elin’s books and was so excited to tour St. John with her guidance. This is the third and final book in the Paradise trilogy. In this book we follow up with the Steeles and their extended family – Irene, Baker, and Cash, Maia, Huck, and Ayers. I absolutely loved how Elin tied up all of the loose ends with just enough drama and a special guest appearance from her other winter series. Elin had definitely done it again! **Free copy in exchange for my opinion from NetGalley.**
I absolutely loved Troubles in Paradise by Elin Hilderbrand.
Elin Hilderbrand is the goddess of telling stories set to a vacation, beachy backdrop and this last installment in the series did not disappoint. Great characterizations, lovely mysterious plot points and an ending for the ages. Perfect ending to this series. This was my favorite book in the series and I loved this entire series.
I received a review copy of this book from the publisher through NetGalley for my honest review. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
Book #1 I remember thinking was a little corny but by book #3 I really formed an attachment to these characters! I enjoyed this story and the ending very much. Book #3 was the best bar far. I loved the final scenes and the way everything wrapped up with such a beautiful family moment! Can't wait for more from Elin.
This was a perfect summer read. The ending was satisfying but still left me wanting more, but I’m a good way. This author never disappoints!
The final installment in the Paradise series did not disappoint!
Do we ever really know someone? That’s the question Irene struggles with. After her husband dies in a helicopter accident (or was it), she discovers he was leading a double life. What follows is typical Hildebrand wonderfulness!
I loved this book!!! So many twists and turns with each character! I enjoyed getting to know more about Ayers parents. It was nice to hear from Todd's wife and that whole story was WILD! I felt like we heard more from Maia in this book too! Then the small connection to the Winter Street series!! :)))))))
This trilogy wasn't my favorite - but I'm glad to see what characters all come full-circle and so many answers be given.. Thank you for the oppotunity!
I thought this had the perfect amount of romance and drama to conclude this series. I really enjoyed this series and will continue to read Elin’s work.I love her descriptive setting and every place she writes about I want to visit . I highly recommend you read this series.
I loved the Hilderbrand's Paradise series and would recommend it to anyone needing a little bit of escapism from today's world. I appreciate that Hilderbrand is able to write complex, yet, breezy, novels and they're incredibly well-crafted. Towards the end of this book, I knew a hurricane was going to level the island, and I think it was a little of a cheat that all the main characters made it out OK.
I have always enjoyed Elin Hilderbrand novels. Before reading “Troubles in Paradise”, I had to read the first two books of here Paradise trilogy. Although I enjoyed reading ‘Winter In paradise’ and ‘What Happens In Paradise’ (books one and two), I did not like each book ending with a cliffhanger. ‘Troubles In Paradise, nicely ties all the loose ends together in the series, and the Paradise series intimately acquaints the reader with the US Virgin Island, of St. John. I definitely suggest reading the first two books before picking up ‘Troubles In Paradise’.
