A must-read series from Elin Hilderbrand. This is the third and final installment of the Paradise trilogy, and I highly recommend reading them in order, as there are a lot of characters and aspects of the story to keep straight. The author has a unique way of writing, almost as if she is chatting with you and telling you the latest news about your friends. Many interesting characters and a great story line all set in the beautiful Virgin Islands.

Sigh.

After being cliffhanged on the last two books in the Paradise trilogy by Elin Hilderbrand, I finally have all the answers.

Was Russell Steele really a nefarious criminal mastermind?

Is Ayers going to cave and continue taking subpar Mick back, regardless of the fact that he sucks?

How will Irene feel if she ever gets her hands on Rosie's diaries and reads the deepest truths of Rosie's relationship with Russ, while also getting a snapshot of how Russ viewed her?

And, finally, is Maia's relationships with her brothers going to take off and go the way I know I'm hoping it will?

All of these questions are tied up neatly in the third and final book in this beautiful trilogy, made relatable despite the financial bubble the characters in Hilderbrand's books often reside in by how painfully honest the writing is. People are rarely fair to others when they're hurt, confused, angry, or going through something and that raw humanity always shines through in every Elin book I have ever read- even when the subject matter is damned painful (as it is in her 2012 novel 'Summerland').

There is something just so lovable about characters (and real people) who are self aware enough to own their flaws, as Hilderbrand's characters unfailingly seem to do; the most brilliant example in 'Troubles' being when Irene acknowledges that her anger at Huck over Rosie and Russ's relationship is, simply, because he is the only one left to blame. There is beauty in knowing when you're being unfair or selfish, and it is woven throughout this finale beautifully.

This, combined with a surprise appearance of a favorite character of mine from a past series made this my top book of summer that couldn't be put down until I knew everything I needed to know.

A great a conclusion to this trilogy. It's comforting to read about old "friends" and find a conclusion to this story set in St. John. Questions are answered and I was left feeling satisfied. It seemed to be a little bit rushed but overall, another great read by Hilderbrand! Thank you netgalley for this arc in exchange for my honest opinion.

I am a huge fan of Elin Hilderbrand's novels and have been eagerly awaiting for the conclusion of the Paradise series which follows the matriarch of the Steele family, Irene, as she learned that her marriage to her deceased husband Russ was not at all what she thought it to be. In this final novel, Ilene and her two grown sons are living in the Virgin Islands trying to piece together Russ's involvement in a nefarious corporation while growing roots in a place they never thought they would call home. The story focuses on the idea of building new lives and finding love during stressing times. All in all, I was satisfied with this book however, it didn't hold any major surprises and I felt in the end that perhaps this could have been condensed into two novels. I did enjoy the story lines but expected a bit more plot in terms of the mystery.

Elin Hildebrand does it again!! She creates captivating characters in an idyllic island setting And you never want to put it down! This story finished way to quickly for me and I am sad to leave the lives of Irene, Huck, Cash, Baker Ayers, and Maia in St. Thomas. After 3 books, they feel like family.

I enjoyed this whole series. I am so happy I could download this book and complete the series. This is my first entry into Elin Hiderband's books. It was a happy entry and I already miss these characters and wish I could visit them again.

Another fantastic summer beachy read by Elin Hilderbrand!

While I was enjoying this read to wrap of the story of Ayers, Baker, Irene, Huck, Maia and Cash, I was disappointed when it ended, knowing there would be no more visits to St. John's.

I really enjoyed this trilogy, and loved how everyone's story played out. Thank you to Netgalley for providing me with an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

A great way to wrap up a great series set in the Caribbean. I enjoyed the way the author wrapped up on the loose ends with the mystery of the airplane and the murder, but it may have been wrapped up a little too easily and neatly. I thought there would be more edge of your seat moments with the "bad guy" still on the loose kind of feeling. But I did enjoy the way the characters were all "okay" and well at the end of the book. I loved how Margaret Quinn and a few other names from other books made it into the book. I always love every single one of Elin Hilderbrand's books- her writing style is wonderful and as soon as I open the first page I am involved in the characters and setting immeditatly. She never disappoints on that level.

Troubles in Paradise is the perfect wrap up to the Paradise trilogy. All of the compelling characters from the first two books are back and the action picks up right where the last story left off. Troubles in Paradise not only brings a satisfying resolution to the majority of the storylines but also brings back some favorites from the Winter series too. As with all of Elin`s books, readers will feel like they could be part of the action, rooting for all of the characters as the plot unfolds. Thoroughly enjoyable!

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the Kindle arc of Troubles in Paradise. I'm not a regular reader of series but I couldn''t resist the Paradise series by Elin Hilderbrand. The third book in the trilogy once again follows the ups and down of the Steele family, Irene, her two grown sons and the blended family they create on the island of St. John. Elin Hilderbrand's light, breezy writing style grew on me in the first book. While the books are light, the characters are well-rounded and their story lines are interesting. The trilogy wraps up with reconnections, romance and a hurricane. I'll be interested to read the "Winter" series now that I finished this one.

I am so, so sad that the story of the Steele family has come to an end! I was so excited to receive this ARC--- I read everything Hildebrand writes--- and "Troubles in Paradise" is a satisfying end to her most recent trilogy. (Although, she did write a fourth book about the Quinns....). Even though it is still surprising to read a book not about Nantucket, Hildebrand's writing shows obviously deep love for St. John's. She intertwines her fictional characters with the real people and places she adores. By the end of this series, you can't help but root for everything to work out for the Steeles. (And does it?! You'll see!) Thank you for letting us experience a slice of your island paradise! I received and ARC of this book from netgalley and Little Brown and Company. Thank you!

The third book in this series does not disappoint! We head back to St. John's where everyone is having their lives turned upside down. Relationships fall apart, relationships come together, and some relationships just leave the island completely. This series has been such a quick, fun read for me! I found myself falling in love with all the characters .I can't wait to see what happens next!

I am so sad the Paradise series by Elin Hilderbrand has come to an end! I like that there were still some shocking twists even in the last entry of this series. I will miss all the characters we as readers have to come to love and care for over the last few years. This last book was even better than the first book in the series. I will also miss the beautiful imagery of St John's, the metal escape was much needed during coronavirus quarantine.

I will definitely be re-reading this series again at some point. If you haven't read Elin Hilderbrand books or this series, you are missing out. I highly recommend this if you want a good series to read.

Thanks to Elin Hilderbrand, Netgalley, and Little Brown & Company for an ARC in exchange fot an honest.

This final book in the Paradise trilogy was the wrap up I was hoping it to be. I feel this book did a great job wrapping up all the things that started in the first two books. It was another great read by Elin Hilderbrand.

This book picked up right where the second book left off and had just the right amount of family and relationship drama. It provided closure on everyone's lives after a father of Baker and Cash and husband of Irene who had another family in the Virgin Islands dies in a helicopter crash. It also incorporated in a hurricane that was an actual event that happened in St John in recent years. I love how Hilderbrand uses real life events and places from her time down in the islands. All this adds up to a book I couldn't stop reading. I wanted to know the ending and how everyone’s lives turned out.

Elin Hilderbrand definitely did not disappoint in this trilogy wrap up. It was a great read, and I look forward to her next book.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Elin Hilderbrand's books never disappoint! I greatly enjoyed this book even though I hadn't yet read the earlier books in this series. In Troubles in Paradise, Irene moves to the Virgin Islands after her husband dies in a helicopter crash and she finds out that he had been leading a double life. Irene initially moves to the beautiful villa he had lived in with his girlfriend and their child that Irene had know nothing about. Then the villa is seized by the FBI. Irene forms and unlikely friendship with the step-father of her husband's girlfriend. Her two sons, Baker and Cash, also move to the Virgin Islands, only to find themselves homeless as well. Both boys decide to stay, having romatic interests on the island. The story follows the Steele family and and as a reader you root for things working out for them.

I couldn't wait to read the conclusion of this exciting trilogy. It was a total disappointment. I don't know what I was expecting, but something more than I got. Everything was rolled up into a neat little package, but But it sure didn't have the pizzazz of her other books.

Elin Hilderbrand is an auto-read/buy author for me. As the third and final book in her series, it was a clean and happy closing for the story of this family. While the first two books covered just a month, this one covered a month and I had a hard time with the pacing. But overall I enjoyed it.

This third and final book in the series was exactly what I was hoping for. This was my favorite of the three, although all of them were excellent just as Elin Hilderbrand's books always are.

This book provided closure to the ongoing stories of everyone's lives after a father of two grown boys who is also a husband is found to have had another family in the Virgin Islands. It moves along nicely with a little bit of intrigue. It ends a little different than is expected but has some exciting surprises along the way. I never got tired of reading this book. I couldn't stop reading because I wanted to know the ending so bad.

I must say that I still felt frustrated with Irene, the mom/wife. I felt this way in the other two books as well. I was hoping it would get better but it didn't. I am sure we are supposed to feel this way about her. She is a temperamental older woman and I felt disappointed in her behavior at times. It all finished up well and I didn't feel as irritated with her in the end.

Elin Hilderbrand never disappoints. Great read and always looking forward to her next work of art.

Thank you to NetGalley and Little, Brown and Company/Hachette Book Group, Inc. for the ARC. I appreciate the opportunity to give a review.
