Not for me. I did not like the character much and everything happend so quickly. The heroine accsepted everything too quickly and Alec was trying too hard and was an over-the top angel. It just did not fit, no chemistry ..awkward and boring.

~ ARC received from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review ~

A very interesting approach on Nephilim and Fallen Angels, an enjoyable read.
Gabby though, even if is a likable charachter, seemed to accept too easy some things and not question them at all. Some parts were too fast and needed more background explanation.

Gabby is excited to start her dream college with her sister. On registration day she runs into Alec. Something is there between them, but it confuses her. She runs into him again at a party, and everything changes from there.
I enjoyed the story. Gabby is a likable girl. I felt like some parts were too fast and needed more. There were no plot holes, just seemed to accept certain things in a strange way.
This is the first in a series.

Thank you NetGalley for the digital ARC. I very much wanted to enjoy this book, i promise I did. It says it is for new adults but it is written like we are in the 1800's with the large terminology. I am not dumb in any way but I find it hard to believe that any new adult would get past the first few pages without giving up.

I absolutely love fantasy, especially novels that include angels. This novel takes us to the world of Gabrielle that lives in Los Angeles. She runs Alec St.Claire, and it goes on from there. She learns that she is the key to ending the war between the Nephilim and Fallen Angels.

I admire her. She not only made decisions based on herself but the lives of others and most importantly her sister.
If you love to hate to love slow burn romance, adventure, fantasy, and brilliant writing, I highly recommend this book.
