I've come to love and appreciate all of Irene Hannon's suspense books. However, this one was disappointing to me to say the least. I didn't mind so much that the book was extremely predictable (a lot of books are). But I had a hard time getting into it. I found the plot slow and the suspense lacking. Not the nail-biting, intense content that I enjoy about her previous books. Sad to say, this one is not on my recommended list and I'm not sure if I'll read the rest in the series.

I received this book as an ARC from Net Galley to write an honest review.

'Final warning. Shut up or die.'

Irene Hannon starts a new series with a great story that will have you trying your best to discover the culprit. Only you probably never will. I don't. This one was a huge shocker. I love how she layers her suspense from chapter to chapter. Much like the late Mary Higgins Clark, Hannon continues to add to her stories until the reader has no idea who is the bad guy. I love it. This one is a satisfying read and I look forward to the next in the series. Recommended.

*My thanks to Revell Publishing for a copy of this book via Net Galley. The opinion in this review is my own.

First book in a new series. Quite enjoyable. I really liked the characters and the story was quite up-to-date with the current times. I wasn't too crazy about the resolution/the who and why of the mystery. Overall, a solid read. I look forward to reading more in this series.

Thank you #netgalley and #revell for the eARC.

I've always enjoyed Irene Hannon's books, and this one is no exception! In "Point of Danger", Hannon shows that she is masterful at mixing romance and mystery. Eve Reilly is a conservative talk show host who is being targeted for her conservative, outspoken beliefs. Detective Brent Lange is the detective assigned to her case who is trying to fight off the growing feelings he has for Eve. The storyline felt very current due to the tensions between conservatives and liberals, and the mentions of Antifa as well. The mystery felt believable and thought-provoking, and the chemistry between Eve and Brent was enjoyable as well! I've noticed that this seems to be the beginning of a trilogy, and I can't wait for the next book!

Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC. All opinions are my own.

Point of Danger is classic Irene Hannon romantic suspense! I loved it!

Readers are treated to an intriguing mystery that begins with a breath-holding porch bomb threat against radio host Eve Reilly that only intensifies as the story progresses. Responding detective Brent Lange is committed to helping solve this ongoing threat and keeping Eve safe in the meantime

The chemistry between Eve and Bent starts at a slow slimmer but as the case heats up, so does their attraction. Hannon is an expert at describing the pull each has towards the other and obstacles they have to overcome to get past them.

A Point of Danger was written long before the events of this year, but I found it eerily predictive of the Antifa protests we've experienced. These lines could have been pulled from any newspaper headline,

"All around him back-hooded figures were breaking through the police barricade and shouting the slogan of the day-Less Power, Less Politics, More People-and waving signs with the same message."

I echo Eve's sentiment in these lines, "Thank God there were men and women who were willing to put their life on the line every day to keep citizens safe, despite the constraints and lawsuits and vilification that has become part of a career in law enforcement."

I find Hannon's tackling of this topic through her courageous and principled Eve and Brent indictive of her willingness to stand up against domestic terrorism and intimidation tactics, Bravo, Irene!

Point of Danger comes to a climatic heart-stopping conclusion that had me on the edge of my seat.! The epilogue is everything I hope for in romantic suspense and I love the description of it being "a preview of paradise here on earth"!

I enjoyed the humor and good-hearted teasing between the Reilly sisters in this Triple Threat series. I look forward to both Grace and Cate's stories in future books. I appreciate Revell, through Netgalley, making a copy of Point of Danger available for review. All thoughts and opinions are my very own.

This book was full of intrigue and danger all wrapped up in a love story. Eve is a strong, opinionated talk show host and Brent is a brand new detective. Their paths cross as a result of a potential bomb planted on Eve’s front porch. After reading this book in record time, I can’t wait to read the next one!

This is the first is a new suspense series by Irene Hannon. I was immediately captivated by Eve's story of being a talk radio host and how she would not back down on what she believed in. I also enjoyed Detective Brent and watching his transformation as he protects Eve. The suspense was great; it really kept me working to figure out who was after Eve. The next two books are about Eve's sisters Cate and Grace and I'll definitely be looking forward to reading those as well.

I've been listening to Irene Hannon's Hope Harbor series on audio and really love them too - you can't go wrong with anything she writes!

Thank you Netgalley for the opportunity to read and review.

Irene Hannon Captivates Readers With Her Newest Romantic Suspense Novel, Point Of Danger!
Book one in the Triple Threat series, Hannon immediately captures readers’ interest using current controversies and fictitious events to bring this spellbinding story to life! Point of Danger has all the earmarks of a great book - mystery, dark secrets, romance and exceptional characters!

Irene Hannon expertly brings current events to life in her newest novel, Point of Danger. With an intelligent, passionate lead character in radio personality, Eve Reilly, she begins this story with a forceful impact and thrilling start. I immediately liked Eve and the introduction of police detective Brent Lange, right away, just sweetened the pot for me. His moody, internal musings and protective nature drew me in. I enjoyed the sparks flying between these two characters right from the start.

The suspense lulls midway through the story a bit, but Hannon doesn’t disappoint as she fills the story with suspenseful characters that keep readers guessing and a blossoming romance between Brent and Eve that readers will enjoy. I love how Brent Lange comes into his own through the eye-opening and tender conversations with Eve who’s patience and care further endeared her character to me.

As Hannon wraps up the story, she delivers the climax with a bang that will leave readers breathless and on the edge of their seats! The surprising revelation at the end was a definite highlight for me. My only regret is that this particular story didn’t have a bit more action and was a little heavier on the romance.

However, I believe Irene Hannon is one of the best in the Christian suspense genre and this story further solidified that. This is a definite recommendation for suspense lovers and I cannot wait to read the next book in this series!

I enjoyed the fast moving storyline in this book. The author kept me engaged as we moved to different perspectives by seeing the view of different characters. It reminded me of God's constant watching over me and His care for the little details in my life. Also seeing families come together for support was encouraging in today's fast moving life.

I enjoyed the fact that the book was full of both suspense and romance as most of Hannons books are. I was slightly confused of how it would jump from one characters perspective to another without a break on chapter or a heading to let you know it had switched characters. I was sometimes a few sentences into another character's perspective before I realized it had changed and had to go back and reread it to catch up and fully understand. Overall great book, but wouls be helpful to have something signaling the change of perspective in characters.

This is exactly the kind of book I like. It's what I'd call a physological thriller! Which means that you are figuring out the clues to find the killer along with the characters. Irene Hannon didn't make it easy as she threw in multiple motives for multiple people.

I really loved this book and am looking forward to the next book in the series. The series has three sisters in it (one takes the lead for each book) - so I look forward to seeing the murder, mayhem and romance that will happen to Cate and Grace. It was also nice to hear of things from previous books referenced - e.g. Phoenix Inc.

I really recommend this book if you like a bit of thinking in with the story!

Eve Reilly is a conservative talk radio host. She talks about all kinds of hot topics which means that she has some haters out there. But nobody has ever acted on their threats...until now.

Brent Lange is a police detective. When he gets a call out for a possible bomb found in a package on Eve's front step he is determined to do his best to find the person that has been threatening Eve before they escalate any farther.

Definitely an exciting beginning to a new series for this author. I enjoyed the suspense from the opening pages to the exciting conclusion. I also enjoyed the relationship explored between Eve and Brent. A couple aside stories were also pretty interesting and kept the pace of the story moving along. I found it interesting that though the characters were not dealing with a pandemic as "the real world" is at the moment, there were some hot topic issues that were relatable to what is going on around us(protesting, unrest etc.) that kept the story relevant for the times. I definitely look forward to Eve's sister Cate's story which is the next book in the Triple Threat novels.

Radio personality Eve Reilly has been threatened by someone trying to shut her up. She meets detective Brent Lange and the two work together to solve the mystery. Eve is not about to allow the threats to stop her from hosting a conservative call-in radio show. But the threats keep coming and pushing Eve and Brent together.

The different threats and twists made the book move quickly, the characters were well developed, and I look forward to learning more about Eve's sisters. It was also refreshing to read about current events with a conservative viewpoint.

I received a free copy of this book from the publisher through NetGalley. The opinions expressed are my own.

This is the first book in this religious romantic suspense series. As usual Irene Hannon wrote another great story. I really enjoyed the characters and was not expecting the surprise ending.
