Just not something I enjoyed. I had hopes that it would be more steamy than it was. The characters annoyed me more than I hoped and honestly, I get turned off by reading that .

Thank you NetGalley and XCPublishing.net for this arc.

A short yet action-packed novella of romance and Antarctic life in 1900. The crusty and curmudgeonly Commander of the British scientific exploration station in Antarctica is pursued by his young and lovely secretary after being served divorce papers from the wife he left back home in England. He is completely baffled by it all and it shows. A fun and pleasant diversion from life 12 decades later.

A well written romance. Great plot and character dynamics. If you enjoy historical romance I recommend this book. I received an ebook from the publisher and Netgalley. This is my unbiased review.

The title of this novella is silly and somewhat misleading. I wasn't sure if this was going to be a general romance story or something steamy.

There is no steam. It's a general romantic adventure between two adorable, stubborn characters in a fun, historical setting, which is what I was hoping for!

The writing is excellent! For such a short story, Xina Marie Uhl has created really neat, complex characters. I wish it was a full novel because I adored them, and the hint of adventure and exploration is very fun. For such a silly story, it was laid out realistically and believably.

If you're looking for a giggle and unexpected romance in a historical setting, I def recommend this! I look forward to checking out other writing by this author.

Thank you Netgalley and publisher for a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review!
