Thank you to the publisher and to Net Galley and the author for the opportunity for review. My review opinion is my own.

I have a family with a history of heart disease so I was most interested in reading this book. After several relatives died by silent heart attacks including my Father, Uncles and Brother I began to research the heart and heart health. I attempted to seek knowledge through my health carrier and primary doctor but was dismissed and they refused to take me seriously. This is quite common with women that we are dismissed by doctors when concerned about our heart health. Women often suffer different symptoms then men with heart incidents and every women should be aware of symptoms . Educating ourselves through this book is helpful in understanding the function, health and diseases of the heart.

I found this book a exemplary body of work in regard to heart health. The author has a wide range of knowledge here to share and even includes individual patient cases. This is helpful for the reader to understand the wide variety of symptoms and effects of heart attacks on individuals. I found that the format of explaining risk, causes, treatment and resources very helpful and educational. Any lay person can easily understand this book and learn from the author. I am appreciative that I was given the opportunity to read this educational book about the heart and learned so much from the author.
