In this brief but well written memoir Todd Balf examines his life since the day he was diagnosed with a rare cancer to the present day. It's precise nature and matter of fact writing is what gives this memoir a raw quality.
This was funny and honest and not the usual kind of memoir/biography about a someone's serious illness. This person took charge of their diagnosis and received many second and third opinions. My attention just wasn't with this book because I am reading such rich nonfiction and other thrillers. Perhaps I will give this a re-read down the line but my To Be Read Right Now and my library books are demanding more attention.
Still a worthy words and hilarious in some parts. I can empathize with his medical journey. I would recommend this to readers who like medical mysteries
Thanks to Netgalley, Todd Balf and Scribd for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
