This book is a good fit for readers looking for a heartwarming story about second chances, redemption, and finding one's true self in the face of adversity.
Lacy Williams’ Second Hand Cowboy: The Sutter’s Hollow Series captivating from its opening page. It’s originality and unique characters carried me through page after quickly turned page from beginning to end. Not having any other books in the series, I find myself intrigued with Sutter’s Hollow and will look for other books by this author in this series.

After being sent out of town by her uncle, love is the only thing holding him together. A deep love from years past never dies and follows you through. I loved this book.
This book reminded me a bit of Nicholas Sparks' stories.
Callum is back in the city where he lived, where no one likes him. Hoping to start over, but he didn't expect everything to start going wrong on his first day in the city.
Iris is back in town, after her dream didn't work out in NY and also to take care of her sister and all she didn't want was to see Callum. Having him back in the city in the city brings feelings that should remain in the past, but Callum needs help and she is the only one willing to help.
It is a good novel, the narrative could be more fluid, but it is a book that can be read in one sitting.
I managed to connect with the characters, mainly Iris, Bailarina s2.
You can see the protagonists reconnecting, even unintentionally, resolving unfinished business from the past and finding love again.
Never show weakness. Callum’s childhood mantra is back in play as fate sends the bull rider back to his hometown. Ten years ago, he was run out of town under a cloud of suspicion. But he’s not a banged-up foster kid anymore. He only wants one thing: to prove he’s not the trailer trash they said he was.
Fate must be laughing. Iris was supposed to escape the small town life and have a ballet career on stage in NYC. But family issues kept her home long enough for opportunity to pass her by and now she’s going nowhere, fast. She’s blindsided when she comes face-to-face with the boy who walked away from her and broke every promise. Callum hasn’t changed from the boy she remembers. He’s just better at hiding his scars.
Iris is just trying to survive one day at a time. She had a ballet career that fell apart when she was injured. Now she is back on the ranch taking care of her sister who is had cancer. The only way to pay bills is to sell the ranch left to her by her uncle. The new owner is none other than Callum. Her boyfriend from years past. He brings along with him his twin sons. He deserted her and never had any contact with him since he left. This is Iris and Callum's journey to reconnect after her father and uncle conspired against them 10 years earlier.
This is a clean book appropriate for anyone. A good book to pick up for a cozy afternoon or a beach read.
I was given this book by the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I was not compensated in anyway.

This was a wonderful book to read. I could hardly put it down. This is the second book of the series but the first one that I have read. This is a stand-alone book. I now have to go back and read the first one as I enjoyed this one so much.
Iris is in town getting dinner for her cancer-stricken sister. A truck goes by and for a second Iris imagines her old boyfriend Callum was driving. It can't be him. He disappeared right after his graduation and never looked back. Seconds later, Iris witnesses a red truck running a red stop light and plowing into the first truck. She rushes to the driver's aid. Sure enough after being gone a decade, Callum is back in town. A knife twists in her heart when she discovers his 3 year twin boys in the back seat.
The intrigue as to why Callum disappeared after his graduation is one that kept me wondering and reading. I so felt sorry for Iris at his desertion. Things aren't what they seems and Callum has been hurting as well.
This is a sweet, clean second-chance romance with a first love. I can highly recommend this story to anyone.
This book had be at the beginning. In fact, it was a very easy read and I read it in one sitting. (I was that excited to see how it turned out.)
I think a book is great when you see the true character and personality in the people in the book. The author does an incredible job at allowing the reader to see into the soul of the characters.
It’s a great read!
A well written inspirational romance. Good plot and character development. The characters are believable. I received an arc from the publisher and this is my unbiased review
Need an enjoyable, quick little romance? This is a second chance romance between Iris and Callum after Callum left Iris with a broken heart and no contact 10 years ago. Callum returns to Sutter’s Hollow to try to start a new life with his 3yr old twin boys. Iris returned 5 years ago after her uncle left the ranch to her and her sister and stayed because her sister was diagnosed with breast cancer. after a hit and run leaves Callum with the need of help and Iris seeing the crash, she is too nice to not help him in his time of need even when here head is telling her no.
I was provided with an electronic ARC through NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
I love this new series by Lacy Williams! It is so good!! I feel like I know everyone in this series personally, which I know is ridiculous, but they are all just so personable!!
I feel like you can really identify with Callum. He has so much stacked against him and he has overcome so much, its hard to see bad things start to happen.
I received an advance reader copy in exchange for a fair review. The opinions are my own.
What if you got a second chance to be with the love of your life? Would you take it?
I loved loved loved this book. So many feels. So many laughs. This was a well-rounded and well-written story that had me feeling everything ranging from happiness to heartache. I loved the characters, the setting, and I especially loved how it ended.
As a parent of a toddler, I related to this book in ways that had me laughing so hard. Oh, how many times has my son puked all over me without warning? Or battled me about taking a bath, only to not want to get out of the tub after?
I seriously loved this book. Highly recommend!
Callum and Iris have a past and where this book starts will really pull you in to keep reading to find out what happens on the very scary, rough road ahead. First book by this author and eat to read more!!
This book is so good!! It's a beautiful story of second chances and forgiveness. This book was an absolute joy to read and I look forward to the next book in this series. It's a sweet clean romance that will keep you turning the pages to see what happens next. If you like Hallmark movies, you will love this book. Thank you Lacy Williams via NetGalley for the ARC copy of this book. All opinions expressed are my own.
Callum left town years ago on bad terms, now he is returning to Sutter's Hollow with his twin sons in order to start over. When a hit and run accident leaves him with a broken leg, he finds help in the form of a former flame still hurting over how he left.
Iris is passionate about helping others, she is a problem solver, does her best to keep everything afloat. I admired how she is strong for her family, and she works hard to find solutions for the challenges facing her family and her heart.
An entertaining and enjoyable read, with a rich backstory that unfolds throughout the course of the story. There was a lot going on and great character interaction. The boys were adorable and rambunctious in the best way.
Also it is probably good to note that this book might seem familiar as a previous form of this book was published in 2015, and it has been updated and revamped in this new edition.
Overall, a heartwarming romance about second chances, and family in this clean read.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
The second of another fun series. Three men are now back in town, and gain romances once they overcome their issues. This one is Callum and Iris's story. Small town Texas, with all typical issues. Still though, I liked the characters and it is a quick read. Great summer read if you want a clean romance. Highly recommend. Looking forward to Noah's book.
This is a cowboy romance, and it is the 2nd book in the Sutter's Hollow series. The main characters in this book is Iris, Callum, and his twin boys. I love reading this book about Iris and Callum old love story, and them falling in love again. I can see why Iris would not know what her Uncle or Father did in the past because she was 17 years old, and when you are young you do not always see things as thing are. I love that she stood up to her father this time. I liked this story a lot, and the character where easy to love. The twin boys remind me of my twin boys, so much energy and get into everything. I was kindly provided an e-copy of this book by the publisher (Lacy Williams Books LLC) or author (Lacy Williams) via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review , and I want to send a big Thank you to them for that.
