Oh my goodness. There is a reason Pepper Winters is one of my favorite authors. This series was so different, so unique. The ride was long and hard. The emotions felt were real...lost, needy, hope, love, pain, hate, despair, desperation, elation. The anxiety was real. But this ending was epic. Delve into this world, and you will not forget it.
What a bittersweet, amazing conclusion! It is bittersweet, because I am in love with this series and I am sad for it to be ending. This was a dark, beautiful, and engaging series that had me completely addicted. I am always completely pulled in to Pepper's worlds and this one was no different. I was left absorbed and losing track of time throughout the entire read and I can't wait to see what Pepper has in store for us next, because I am already dying to read more from he
What a great ending of the series! With how heartbreaking book four has ended I won't say how this one starts - trust me you don't want to have that spoiled as it's a game-changer for this story. And it adds so much to it!
As always Ms. Winters will take us to the places that we thought were beyond our reach in our souls And minds, but we are so wrong in this assumption as she takes us deeper and deeper! I suggest you are fresh after reading previous books.
This series was getting better and better with each book and this is the best part of it. You will fall in love with the monster more and more with each passing page and you are going to LOVE it! Every piece of it!
Highly recommended!
Such an incredible conclusion to an amazing series! Fifth a Fury is not anything you are expecting. It begins right where the unbelievable cliffhanger left us in Fourth a Lie and the pace is relentless. Drake seriously is the most vile and despicable villain. And Sully & Eleanor prove that their love for each other is a stronger force than Drake being evil. This book is about revenge and redemption. This book is about forgiveness and self awareness. This book is about unconditional love and loyalty above anything else. This is about a Goddess and her God. This is their love story and their HEA.
Omg this series has been epic! The excitement, the sex, the suspense, the heartache, the twists, THE SEX!! Fuck. It’s been an emotional and just a rough fucking ride and I’ve loved every minute of it. The books just kept getting better and better. Fifth a Fury is a nonstop intensity and pain that only Pepper knows how to make us crave.
I have to take a minute to talk about the playlist for this book. It is absolute perfection! I don’t normally listen to music while reading, but I listened to this playlist throughout all five books. And let me tell you- I didn’t just READ this series, I EXPERIENCED it. The songs apply perfectly for all of the books and I will forever think of Sully and Jinx when I hear them.
If you haven’t started this series or maybe you’ve been waiting until all five books were released, NOW IS THIS TIME. Goddess Isles is now complete and absolutely binge-worthy. Lovers of dark romance can absolutely not miss this series! I highly, HIGHLY recommend!!
Excellent conclusion to the series.
Pepper Winters knows how to write a dark, emotional gritty read. Sully and Eleanor were such a powerful couple. I absolutely loved their story and how unique their journey was.
What an explosive read!!! I recommend it.
*Sigh*
It's official. The author and this book has slayed, ruined and laid waste on my dark heart. I will never be the same again. So, this is it. The ending of one of the most phenomenal dark romance I have ever read this year. After that breathtaking ending of book 4, I'm pretty sure I was holding my breath (and near to die actually) to have my hands on this final book. I have never loathed a fictional character like I did Sully's brother but eventually, he reaped what he has sowed.
Fifth A Fury lived up to its title for it was the foremost emotion that Sully and Eleanor clung to. There was a lot of angst, fear, and undying, strong love throughout the story. I have felt these emotions alongside our characters and I don't think I could have fallen in love more than I did already. But I was proven wrong. The story, main and even secondary characters will forever be etched in my heart.
To say that this series is phenomenal is the understatement of the century. This is how a great romance love story should be told. This series warrant a million 5 stars and more!
This book was pure pepper winters. This was the ending we all needed, wanted and loved. It was dark, dingy, daring and overall damn perfection. This book was real and raw and while i am sad to see Goddess Isles up in flames and no more beautiful Goddesses roaming the white sand beaches I think this is the best ending for the story. I also really loved Q being in there in bits and pieces as well as Jethro. I loved this immensely and wish it never ended.
This book fed my vengeful side, my loving side... and every other part. I’ve said it before, and Pepper proves it with every single book, she makes you want to dive into each other books head first. Her writing is inspired, detailed, and engaging. I went into Fifth a Fury wanting severe vengeance, wanting Drake to pay for every single animal he killed, every person he hurt, every dirty rotten thing he had done.... with his very life.
Eleanor Grace proves her strength and her love in this the 5th Book in the Goddess Isles Series. Sully just may not be strong enough. Drake is evil to the core. He destroyed Serigala, Sully’s animal sanctuary. He destroyed the serenity of the main island. He stole Eleanor. Call me vindictive, but he needs to die an excruciating death... at the hands of Sully and a Eleanor. I’m not telling what or how this happens.
Pepper Winters is my, hands down, favorite author of dark romance books. Goddess Isles book is no exception to her writing talent. I loved every word of this series. Although it brought out my sadistic side. I recommend this book 100%!
Everyone needs to read this! 5+ stars from me!
I absolutely did not want to leave the Goddess Isles nor for this series to end!
Pepper Winters wrote a phenomenal story that engulfed me with so much pain and pleasure. The feelings she evoked from me were surreal and beautifully provocative to the point of delirium!
I shall miss Sully and Eleanor but I’m happy for having read their story. Thank you Pepper for enriching my reading experience.
This is a dark read but yet so engrossing you can’t help but see the light that illuminates Sully and Eleanor Jinx!
I highly recommend this whole series!
Have you ever witnessed a fictional character snapping and going completely feral because the person they love is in danger? This story is fury unleashed. An epic conclusion to an epic series.
If you thought first four books took your breath away, this one STOPS it altogether.
Suffocatingly Angsty & achingly Yearning love story reaches its finale with Fifth A Fury. Time to wage the War!
The title says it all. the ferocious Fury unleashed with beastly brutality was both vulgar and gratifying.
as a reader I celebrated it like a guilty pleasure.
The predominant emotions were Shock and stupor. Hate and horror. the elusive HEA was within my fingertips reach marking my heartbeat to a dangerous level. Throughout the book my heart was in my throat, my eyes weeping and heart bleeding. I was trapped in this nightmare along with Eleanor & Sully, hanging by a thread, unable to let go.
"IT WAS LIKE BEING trapped inside a monochrome kaleidoscope. A tumbling, refracting kaleidoscope that was all blacks, greys, and shadows with no escape."
It was too much...just give them a break Gawd!!!
The earth beneath their feet just gave way and they fell spiraling downwards, leaving him hanging by a thread. A thread of Jinx's touch. That was his only tether, his life line.
"This wasn’t just a string. It was a rope. A rope made of affection,"
This entire series has been a Rollercoaster ride, flying high on lust and passion, lowering to despair and betrayals and this culmination of dreadful climax was plain torturous on my heart. To see your beloved characters aching and hurting took a toll on me as a reader too.
Sully Sinclair's survivor tenacity and never-say-die spirit, which was tested beyond human endurance limits. All through the agonizing term Eleanor grew in stature and prominence. The Goddess crown shone brilliantly and she fully owned it!
“He’s a god ruling his own version of heaven and you, my dear friend, are his chosen goddess.”
Heavy lies the head that wears the crown though. Her shoulders bogged down at times with the iron- heavy onus of making life & death decisions. Her gait collapsing, her spirit exhausted but her spine stood ramrod straight cause everyone depended on her!
Pepper lets us leave the islands and travel towards to real world filled with Cruelty and madness. The stark contrast was necessary to validate Sully's mission of setting his empire on the reclusive Goddess Isles. The ending will surprise you with some old revisits and new turn of events
Yet another successful, twisted story of dangerous love from Treasure trove of Pepper that will blow your mind. This is her comfort zone, her territory where she's the undisputed queen and she's spinning the tales as fast as we can read them. cannot wait for more adventures that she takes us on
5 stars for The Final Checkmate
I'm going to keep this review short and sweet because honestly, I think you already know how much I adore this series.
This is a story of romance but not just 'Hearts and Flowers' romance but full on all out 'can't put this book down' pure pleasure dark and twisted romance. This last book in the series was MINDBLOWING and gosh I can tell you that I wasn’t prepared.
Sully and Eleanor are just characters that will always be in my heart...
The descriptive writing of PW conjured up in my mind just what the characters looked like, and the places they lived in and visited! It covered all emotions and you felt all with them in equal measure!!
What an epic ride this was!! I’m sad it’s over but Pipper Winters manages to write a remarkable story that makes this series, one of the best I have ever read!

Oh, where to begin. First I have to say another big thanks to Pepper Winters for giving us all such an amazing journey.
Then my honest review! In a world full of evil and uncompromising times, we fight all that to find love. These two find it only to have it ripped away, with by their own hands or those of others. A good Doctor thinking he saving women, a great friend honoring a promise, or a jealous brother coming for revenge.....all these things and a hell of a lot of chaos have us all in a tailspin.
Half way through the book I had a moment of just utter devastation. I honestly got to the point that I almost gave up. Only because I felt like Eleanor, utterly heartbroken. But I forged forward and man was that the best ending in the world. This series honestly has been such a great discovery and I was never once let down. I hear there are novellas coming and I can’t wait to get my hands on them.
It took me days to write this review. I am so sad it is finished, but what a wonderful, beautiful journey it was!
Sully and his goddess Jinx have ridden a passionate, emotional roller coaster! My heart pounded at times, and then I would cry, laugh, and become unbelievably hot under my collar. This story was breathtakingly and soulfully touching. The characters were perfect, the passion was off the charts, and the drama and chaos was beautifully balanced.
Some day I will reread this series in it's entirety when I am uninterrupted and transport myself once again to these Goddess Isles and the relive this story of passion and love and angst.
6 beautiful, passionate stars!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book. This is the 5th and final book in the series. All books MUST be read in order!!
Sully and Eleanor have a love that comes from your souls being attached. They can look and feel each other and know what the other thinks.
Wowzers what an emotional rollercoaster this whole series has been. It has made me mad, sad, happy and even made me cry but I must say that the ending was so worth it. I don't want to spoil any of it for you. Just know that you definitely won't be disappointed with this amazingly written dark romance. 5+⭐
This is the final book in the Goddess Isles series and by far my favorite! This series was a seductively addicting unique read told in dual POV . Definite must read and definite 5 stars from me! I’m sad that this story is ended but in the same token I’m glad Sully and Eleanor get there HEA they so deserve it’s been one long crazy ride a dark and deliciously erotic tale . This book definitely has everything we expect from a Pepper Winters dark romance and can’t wait to see what else she has in store for us .
* ARC KINDLY GIVEN FOR MY HONEST OPINION *
It is hard to come up with words to describe the emotions running through me as I read the conclusion of this series. I had some expectations, some predictions, some hopes between every pivotal event from the moment I began reading Once A Myth to the final word in Fifth a Fury; yet all of them were blown away by the unique outcome carefully woven by the author.
I laughed. I cried. I mourned. I rejoiced. My heart was lost to this couple from the very start. Sully and Eleanor’s tale will lead you into unchartered waters. You may experience waves of emotion receding into ripples of amusement and euphoria.
Winters has always led her readers into an immersive, atmospheric world and Goddess Isles is a place I would love to be lost in forever. Her multilayered characters are sheer perfection and her plots will keep you hooked until the wee hours of the morning. This new series upholds that Winters is still at the top of her game. It will delight both the author’s legion of fans and those who finally decide it’s time to find out just what Pepper Winters is all about.
5 ‘Dark magic’ STARS!!!!!
Be still, my heart…
Dark Romance.
Book 5 of 5 In The Goddess Isles Series.
Dual, First Person POV.
Spanning five phenomenally twisted-together novels, Pepper Winters has written a bona fide masterpiece. One that is unparalleled in the dark romance world. One that is like nothing I could’ve ever anticipated. One that has not only surpassed all my expectations, but blew my mind again and again, with every word and intricately woven thread that made this series exactly what it is—sublime and perversely glorious.
‘Electricity crackled. Chemistry ignited. That all-knowing, all-consuming, all-binding bond between a god and a goddess who no longer played in the human world but had strayed directly into myth ignited. It gushed between us. It branded us, burned us, broke us into pieces that belonged entirely to the other. This was what Sully was. He wasn’t just a man. He wasn’t just a monster. He was everything. He was every creature and element. He was fury and faith and utterly blinding loyalty.’
I’ve honestly never read or felt anything near to what I did with her Goddess Isles Series. It’s disturbing, brutal and not for the faint of heart. Yet, I’d recommend it to all my dark romance lovers and urge them to pick this series up. Like now. Because I found something so unique, darkly unconventional and hauntingly beautiful, and all wrapped up with a dose of deep realism amidst the dark fantasy. Not to mention, the heady love that holds everything together—an obsession—so potent and intoxicating, that I felt it deep in my bones.
“You came after me.”
“I’ll always come after you.” He nuzzled my nose with his. “You’re mine and I’m yours and I have so much to atone for.”
Sully and Eleanor ‘Jinx.’ Cal and Jess. Pika and Skittles…God, I love them all, so deeply. But all in all, my monster of a man, and his precious goddess, well they’re forever my favourite thing about the beguiling Goddess Isles.
‘She was destined for wings. Either as an angel or as a bird—free to soar the skies. Me? I was destined for hellfire or the life of a creature that had to creep and crawl.’
Though theirs is an unorthodox one, Sully and Eleanor’s love has always been undeniably raging in its lust and love. It’s always been violent in its beauty. And it’s been this way since the very beginning, from the moment they first met. Only, we see it burn much fiercer now, growing impossibly deeper with the aftermath of Fourth A Lie, and the gruelling—downright heartbreaking—darker times they now must face.
‘I loved his mind, his soul, and his body. I loved the feeling of tenderness and threats in his arms. I treasured the sensation of his thirst for me and the swelling of his pleasure. But most of all, I loved the way his love was a tangible, touchable thing. It glowed in his eyes, it scalded his skin, it set fire to the room with commitment and calamity.’
But damn. To be loved like this.
Whilst the previous books exhibited their all-consuming lust and reckless love for each other, here we see more of Sully’s tender love for Eleanor, and it is the sweetest devotion paired with his crazy obsession and desire.
“I can already feel it happening—the desire to keep you by me at all times. The fear of ever losing you. It will drive me to do reckless, dangerous things.”
The four preceding instalments to this wicked series must be read prior to this, something that needs to be experienced in order to be felt wholeheartedly. The culmination of their story lies here and, somehow, it came finally and all too quickly, all at the same time. Even so, this isn’t one that’ll ever end. It’s immortal, Sully and Eleanor’s romance. An undying love.
‘She was wrong that it was something at first sight with us. It wasn’t something. It was love. Pure, buckling, brutalising love.’
There’s so much more I want and need to say but know I can’t without spoiling this tale. And like I said, it needs to be experienced. I seriously praise Pepper Winters for masterfully creating this explosiveness. It’s literal witchcraft, and it’s mesmerising, deeply erotic and purely sinful. The writing, the stunning prose, cannot be compared. And the overall dark romance and intensity of love between the two amazing characters, it’s inimitable and unrivalled.
“As we get to know each other, I’m afraid of how deeply I’ll fall in love with you. There is no one else. There never was and never will be.”
I can’t compare Pepper’s antiheroes with each other—they each have their own idiosyncrasies and are arresting, handsome monsters in their own way. It’s their love for their fiercely brave women that makes them true heroes under their villainous natures. Sully Aiden Sinclair didn’t start out easy to love but like his counterparts, his character and ability to love unconditionally strengthens him in abundance.
“Who are you, Jinx? Who the fuck are you to destroy me, restore me, and ultimately make me the happiest monster alive?”
Eleanor ‘Jinx’ Grace is simply a force to be reckoned with. She’s formidable as a heroine, a true goddess. I have a serious girl crush on this lady and she is every bit the awe-inspiring woman she’s created to be. The perfect match for her Sully. She, just like Tess to Quincy and Nila to Jethro, is brazen, beautiful and bold in her compassion, empathy and love for her man. In fact, Eleanor’s love rivals that of Sully’s. The two together are sheer magnificence.
‘He loved me past beauty, past pleasure, and pain. He loved me as I loved him. For his soul.’
As a final side note, let me just tell you that if you’ve been acquainted with my favourite elusive French vigilante, Q, and equally the aloof, deeply afflicted Jethro, then you may get the pleasure of sensing a glimpse of them in Fifth A Fury.

All opinions are my own.
Holy crap! This final book in this series is jaw dropping, heart pounding, horrific, scary, intense, epic and filled with so much love you can taste it pouring through the pages!

5 stars from me.
