I really loved Temptation on Ocean Drive, I will admit I haven’t read a Jennifer Probst book in quite a while, I am glad I found her again.
Bella and Gabe made such a sweet couple, I didn’t think at first Bella could get past the loss of her husband. Gabe has been in love with her since day one, but she just doesn’t see him as a family man. He is trying to prove to Bella that he is more than just the small town rumors, he needs to show her he can be the man she needs, and be a father to Zoe. Bella and Gabe had such amazing chemistry together, and Zoe just puts a smile on your face. Their story was hard to put down, it made me want to visit a small coastal town myself.
I have gone back and bought the 1st in the series, I loved the Sunshine sisters as a whole, and I can’t wait the read the next installment
I absolutely loved this story of middle sister Bella and hot co-worker Gabe. Temptation on Ocean Drive has ALL the feels. Jennifer Probst continues to amaze me with her dedication to writing great characters with the background we need to truly come to know and love them. Which, in this case just found me falling in love with Gabe all the more. And Bella is truly an example of a strong woman doing her best to survive among devastating tragedy. Another must read.
Sunshine Bridal is a family business run by 3 sisters Avery, Bella and Taylor. Book 1 is Avery's story, book 2 is Bella's story and a wonderful one at that.
Bella is a single mom with a calm demeanor who has experienced loss. She goes with the flow, not to stir things up.
Gabe who is a vital part of Sunshine Bridal has been promoted and is a HOT commodity with a reputation of living the bachelor life.
Goals and the past are the backbone of this love story as Gabe and Bella come to the realization that things are not always as that is seem.
5 Will They Get Their HEA Stars?
I absolutely love this series by Ms. Probst…of course there’s not a book of hers I haven’t loved but there are some that I connect more with than others and this second book in this series hit close to home for me. The series itself takes place less than 2 hours from my house and it’s about Bella single mom to her beautiful daughter Zoe and the burgeoning attraction and love between her and Gabe a co-worker at the sister’s wedding planning business.
And while they work on a winter wedding they become closer and closer and finally explore these feelings. I actually did a fist pump at their first kiss because I thought “it’s about time!” But as they move to what they hope to be an HEA, there’s surprises down the line that put doubt in their relationship and given Bella has Zoe and how much she hurt from losing her husband she’s not really willing to risk her complete heart again!
And so, Ms. Probst gives us a story that is at times swoony, heartbreaking and beautiful. Gabe and Bella deserve all the love they can give and receive but will it turn out the way they want? What could get in their way of their HEA? I’m not revealing any secrets because this a book and series you must read!
Bella lost her husband almost 6 years ago and she was left brokenhearted and a single mom of a 3 month old. Gabe was always told by his father that he would never amount to anything and only get by on his looks. She has not been involved with anyone since her husband was killed. Gabe is known as the Beach Bachelor and a playboy. Definitely not a relationship type of guy. But that is what the gossip says when deep down inside all he wants is to find “the one”, settle down and be a one woman man. He wants a relationship and everything that comes with it. But Bella cannot get passed the rumors. Deep down she feels that he will not stay in this small town and eventually leave for bigger things. He is a great wedding planner but she doesn’t think he will be content and happy working for her and her sisters company. Poor Gabe cannot escape the rumors and he is having a hard time convincing Bella that they are just that, rumors. All is asks is for her to trust in what she feels for him and what he feels for her. Bella also realizes that if she gets involved with him there is someone else who could get hurt if things don’t work out; Zoe. Gabe and Zoe get along great right now but what happens if things don’t work out she really does not want to risk. He has waited a long time to make his feelings known to Bella but how much more is he willing to give up and wait for her to realize that they belong together.
I love Jennifer Probst’s stories. They are filled with so much love and everything that goes along with it. You feel as though you are going through what each character is going through. You feel their sadness and you feel their happiness. Each one is its own unique story but they are all a part of a wonderful and exciting world written by a very talented and awesome author.
My emotions were all over the place here because I felt for both Bella and Gabe. The longing was palpable and I kept trying to scream at my screen to help them move it along. It's sweet, sexy, and heartwarming.
It was another beautiful love story in this series. It was wonderful to watch the journey these two characters went on. I recommend this book, series, and author.
What a sweet, delightful and romantic read!! Temptation On Ocean Drive is the second book in The Sunshine Sisters series, it can be read as a stand-alone and with each book, I’m falling more in love with this series. Every since I read Love On Beach Avenue (Carter and Avery’s story), I was very curious about Gabe and Bella and how their story would play out and let me tell you, it definitely exceeded my expectations. Jennifer Probst has a real talent for creating stories that include exceptional and strong women with wonderful storylines that you just can’t help but love.
The natural chemistry and energy between Gabe and Bella is on point and what’s even better is their sexual chemistry is on fire!! Gabe is the type of man that any woman would be lucky to have. He’s talented, kind (I mean the way he acted with Bella’s daughter, Zoe made my ovaries explode), caring and exudes charm. Bella is a strong and confident woman who’s not necessarily open to the idea of love due to her past and her main focus is being the best mother she can be to Zoe (who‘s so sweet and seriously melted my heart). I do have to admit that I got a little annoyed with Bella initially as she seemed blind to Gabe’s charm but once she open her eyes, it was fantastic. This book is so swoon worthy, I definitely recommend reading it and I’m highly anticipating Taylor’s book.

Such a lovely read!
This is the story of Bella and Gabe, co-workers at Sunshine Bridal, a small beach town wedding planning business. There is so much more though, the business is owned by Bella and her sisters, they all are a big family and their love and humor brights up every page.
The death of her husband, highschool sweetheart, left Bella trying to rebuilt her life but constantly keeping control on everything so as not get hurt again. Plus she has an adorable daughter to love and protect. So she sees very late all the signs and Gabe has to do a lot of effort to show her how much he loves her and how good they can be together. And, man, does she love her! It's just beautiful and heartwarming!
As you know the synopsis of this book you should know what you're getting into. This is a story with a big "real feel" because the heroine had to go through a lot for a young woman. Plus, as in all her other books, Jennifer Probst touches a sensitive subject, that of misandry, so Gabe doesn't have it much easier himself. So it's only natural for their story to be full of trust issues and fear based actions. But in the end courage and love prevails and the big Sunshine family has a new couple. Cannot wait for the last one to complete the series! Also, I'd love to see some of the supporting characters get their stories!

This is a small town romance that has to do with unrequited love, a single parent and second chances. Bella has lost too much in her short life, but she's working at the family business with her sisters and Gabe and she's trying to balance her life, as she's also a single mother and wants to dedicate her time to her six year old daughter, Zoe. Gabe had a crush on Bella since he met her, but she doesn't seem to notice that or him in general. She keeps her distance and now that they got to work on a project together is his chance at changing this.
This was so wholesome!! I truly enjoyed this one and the way this was a punch to the stereotypes!
Like seriously. A straight male wedding planner, tough women on the lead, men eating ice cream during a bad break up, a man getting slutshamed and generally being judged by his good looks only. Yes this was definitely a punch to sexism on both ways and I loved how they smashed these stereotypes!!
I also loved Zoe and every scene with her to the point I could definitely need more of her. Every scene was priceless and just too adorable. I love how Gabe and the other guys were around her and how their masculinity was safe enough to act with her as they should. Definitely appreciate that. To be honest, I was bothered by the mistrust the heroine had or the way she acted at certain moments. I could also understand where she was coming from, but it became tiresome after some point. Overall, it was a great book and I was rooting for them. I really enjoyed the writing, it was well written, the dialogues were perfect as I mentioned and according to its era, it was sweet and sexy and I definitely recommend it.
Bella is doing her best to raise her daughter as a single mom after losing her husband 5 years ago while working at her family's wedding business. When Bella has to work with her fellow wedding planner Gabe for a winter wedding she realizes that even though she's attracted to him she is also starting to have less than platonic feelings for him. This is not a great realization for Bella because Gabe is known as a player in the small town. Not all rumors are true. Gabe just wants to settle down and be a father. He has had his sights on Bella since he moved to town. Can he prove he's in for the long haul? Will Bella open up and trust Gabe or will she believe the rumors?
This was a sweet contemporary romance with strong family ties. There were times Bella frustrated me, but her flaws and worries are what made her human. Gabe was patient and knew when to push Bella and when to give her space. Bella's daughters and sisters were also flushed out really well. This was a cute book.
Temptation On Ocean Drive
The Sunshine Sisters #2

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I’m loving this series, set in a coastal town and revolved around the Sunshine Sisters, their bridal business and their lives. Although it does kind of continue, each sister had their own story, their own inner dramas but always have their family to fall back to, so you could read them as a stand alone but I suggest reading them in order for more fun.
We met Avery, Bella and Taylor previously and and as Avery found her forever after in a man she could only describe as her worst enemy, this one is all about Bella. A single mum with a 4 yr old daughter, she’s the sister with the calmness of a saint, there isn’t a bride who can make her crack, a mother in-law to smack or a terrible flower girl with the biggest tantrum. This woman is amazing. She juggles wedding planning while raising her young daughter with the help of her family and close friends. But while her work and daughter give her great pleasure she can’t move past the feeling of missing out on love. After her husband was killed when Zoe was a baby, Bella pulled away from everything and everyone she loved. That terrible trauma made her who she is today, and unbeknownst to her, her special man is right there, under her nose.
Gabe Garcia, is sex on legs, the man is Cape May’s bachelor of the bay, every woman wants him, every man wants to be him. Life in a small town is difficult enough, but as a man in a female dominated role and it climbs two fold. Gabe works at Sunshine Bridal as a wedding consultant, he brings a fresh energy the brides love and it shows through his work. But Gabe is missing that one thing that will make it whole. A woman to share his life.., He knows who that woman is, but she is clueless to him, unlike all the other women in Cape May. But everything for these two are about to change, and not necessarily in a good way.
Working together Bella and Gabe have a great flow, they bounce off each other, sees drama before it happens and can fix any problem even in a Santa suit. But when they are paired up to create a wedding fit for New York’s elite, they find more than just a creative masterpiece. They find a special connection, a want for each other and the beginning of what can only be described as a roller coaster ride. Returning home, the small town gossip goes crazy, Sunshine Bridal has made us mark and gave us in huge demand. Let the small town Timor mill begin, Gabe is always known as a ladies man, a player but for him it couldn’t more from the truth. His heart is set on one woman, but that woman sees all the bad, all the gossip… she just might lose the second best thing that ever happened to her!
This is the 2nd book in @authorjenniferprobst’s Sunsine Sisters series. We’re excited to host it today on our grid with @valentine_pr_. If you’ve not already picked up the first book in the series it’s called ‘Love on Beach Avenue’ and our review is on the grid too for you to check out.
As I said this is the 2nd book in the series and is about main characters Bella and Gabe, both of whom we were introduced to in the first book.
Bella is a widowed single mother who works alongside Gabe at her family’s wedding planning business. Gabe has long since felt only friendly towards Bella but she’s definitely slower on the uptake. This is probably my favourite of the two so far as there are so many emotions and feelings to be explored in this book with each character having a complex past.
I loved the wedding theme that they worked on together in this book it was definitely unique and not like anything I’d read before so that was a fun twist.
This is an office romance, not quite friends to lovers set in a small town so if any of those tickle your fancy pick this one up next. Although it’s in a series you could get away with reading each as a stand-alone although I always prefer to read in order if I can!
I absolutely adored Temptation on Ocean Drive. Jennifer Probst’s writing is always impeccable and the way she writes about the raw vulnerabilities of her characters makes you feel like you know them. Bella and Gabe are prime examples - both holding on to pain of the past and assumptions of the future. Their story is chuck full of humor, heartache, love and family. I enjoyed every minute of Bella and Gabe’s story and getting to know the other characters, as well as, Cape May. I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series.
Temptation on Ocean Drive was a great read. Bella and Gabe were a perfect match, both personally and professionally. I absolutely loved the unique wedding that they planned. All of the details were perfect! I love the Sunshine Sisters series and can't wait for Taylor's story!
After reading the first Sunshine Sisters book I was eager to red Bella and Gabe’s story. It was clear Gabe was already half in love with Bella but she would barely give him the time of day. He was going to have his work cut out for him to win Bella over to Team Gabe.
Gabe has worked for Sunshine Bridal for the past three years, proving himself and gaining the trust of the Sunshine sisters. When a New York socialite specifically asks for Gabe and Bella to plan her wedding after seeing them work well together at a friend's wedding, Bella is stuck working with Gabe, when she usually works alone.
Gabe has an undeserved and false reputation as a player in the small town of Cape May. He’s a good guy with a big heart and loyal to his employers, but he has some hidden vulnerabilities. Bella is a single mother dedicated to her daughter and her business, but she’s scared to take a chance on love since her husband died.
I love everything about this series and adore the Sunshine sisters. I understood Bella's reluctance to enter into a relationship with Gabe, but I would have liked to see shake her myopic view of things with Gabe a bit sooner and stop sabotaging their relationship. If you don’t have a lot of patience for this dynamic, you may want to skip this one and check out a different book by this talented author. I highly recommend Avery and Carter’s story in Love on Beach Avenue.
Give this series a look and get to know the Sunshine sisters. They're strong, capable women and it's great entertainment seeing them find love. There’s one more sister to go, and I suspect her story will be the best of all.
Ahh...Gabe and Bella. Love them! Bella is the middle sister of the Sunshine sisters. She’s widowed with a little girl. Her walls are sky high and her heart has a lock on it. Gabe is a good looking bachelor who works with the Sunshine sisters at Sunshine Bridal. He’s a good looking bachelor, who is known as a player. However, gossip is just that-gossip! He may be hot and comfortable in his profession, but he’s lonely. He has eyes for one woman, but she has no idea. When their work brings them together on an event, Bella learns more about Gabe. Learning he is not who everyone portrays him to Ben herself included. Gabe learns that Bella has a hard time with the loss of her husband. Eventually, things start to change. Walls start to crumble, the lock starts to loosen and feelings are portrayed. But town gossip and a past could be the ruin of a relationship before it really truly begins. Can Gabe help Bella realize who he really is and how he feels? Or is Bella going to always be in doubt and not be a strong woman to stand by her man. She worries about Zoe and how this will affect her as well. I love that Avery, Carter, Tayler and Pierce are in this book too. This is book two in the Sunshine Sisters series and I feel that book one should be read first. But not necessary. Just gives you a background on everyone and who they are to one another. I enjoyed this book and highly recommend.
One of the best second chance romances I've read this year! Miss Probst is a go to author for me for this kind of tropes! it was amazing.
This is the second book in this series about the Sunshine Sisters and their wedding planning business. Bella Sunshine-Caldwell was widowed about 6 years ago when her husband was killed in a car crash. She has been raising her daughter, Zoe, by herself although she does have help from her sisters. She hasn't had a relationship since being widowed since she is afraid of being left again. Gabe Garcia is a wedding planner with their business. Gabe has had feelings for Bella from the first time he met her but she's kept him at a distance since she believes the town rumors of him being a player. He isn't a player just a very handsome bachelor. He has his own insecurities from his father never believing in him. I liked how Gabe paid attention to Zoe and always brought her pink things that she loves. He has a really good relationship with Zoe. Will Bella be able to get over the rumors and give Gabe a chance before it's too late? I really like this series and can't wait for the next sister's book. I received an ARC and am leaving my honest review.
