This series is beyond anything I could have ever dreamt up. I could make a list longer than my arm of the ways that it is so, so inclusive and accepting. This is something that I highly recommend to everyone, whether it sounds like your type of thing or not, because I learnt so much from this that I never expected to. The illustrations in this are also to die for, the tea dragon as are the cutest little things!! I loved how this book wrapped the trilogy up,, and while I'm sad that it's ending, I know that this was the perfect way for it to conclude and I thoroughly look forward to rereading them all together!!
I received an e-arc from Oni Press through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
Like the rest of the graphic novels in the Tea Dragon series, The Tea Dragon Tapestry is absolutely stunning and a beautiful story. I loved this novel just as much as the other two. The artwork is amazing and the story was uplifting as always. There is a lot to learn from these graphic novels about finding your passion, finding where home is, and finding where you fit in.
I love Katie O'Neill's graphic novels and definitely want to check out her other graphic novels. I just haven't been able to get around to checking them out with the 50 million other books on my TBR, but I will get there one day!
Katie O'Neill is AMAZING. She tackles tough topics with grace and her illustrations are absolutely stunning. These may be Children's/Middle-Grade books, but they are so much more than that. Although I would read any of her books for the illustrations alone (SO BEAUTIFUL!!) I also love how each book features a lesson for younger readers that includes tougher topics all while providing such a diverse group of characters. Each story fosters growth, love, and acceptance.
A beautiful story that is perfect for all ages!
This series just keeps getting better it builds off of the other two book and I followed this one much easier then the first. I am in love with the illustrations. I could look at a 100 of these books. The story was one with merit it was about grief and feeling lost and finding purpose and I loved the over all theme. Fantastic book, not only for the pictures but also the writing.
Like its previous installments, THE TEA DRAGON TAPESTRY is adorable, affirming, and a pure delight to read from start to finish. I will sorely miss Greta and Min and all the other charming inhabitants of this world (especially those dragons!), but I'm excited to read whatever Katie O'Neill crafts next.

First, I thank the people and publishers in NetGalley for letting me read this ahead of publication.
Second, this is a beautiful conclusion to a beautiful series and its kinda hard to say something new about the art and story that hasnt been said by the countless readers, and still, i must try.
This edition is stunning, the story is touching in heartwarming ways, the characters are beautiful, and i could not a find a flaw if i tried. It ties many plot point from the previous edition and gives a nice conclusion to them. I would also like to add I didnt expect to me so emotionally touched by the characters and i certainly didnt expect to cry. It was such a beautiful and moving journey, I once again thank netgalley for letting me read this, it was an amazing experience.
Yet again, Katie O’Neill delivers us a warm hug in the form of her beautiful art and wholesome stories.
As I say with every review of this series, you will find no cuter art style than this one. It is filled with so much vibrancy and joy.
The storyline is also incredibly wholesome and really cheered me up. This one did have a bit more of a somber feel to it but in a heart warming way.
There were some really great themes about change, loss and moving on that seemed really helpful to any child struggling from those issues.
Basically, if you haven’t already, pick up some of O’Neill’s work. I promise you won’t regret it.
I sincerely hope this series has at least ninety-one books because I need them all so desperately my heart aches. I loved this. It is so true and beautiful, heartfelt and kind. This one also felt sadder than the others and dealt with themes of change and loss, but in such a gentle and uplifting way. I felt it in my soul when the characters talked about losing motivation and passion for things that made them. How do you be you, when you have changed? It's a huge topic and yet this graphic novel completely wrapped it in a warm hug and talked about it with such love..
The art style is so whimsical and the colour palette is just gorgeous. Every panel had me pausing just to soak in the details, the cute and wry expressions. And there's so much emotion! From the sad little tea dragon still grieving to Minette's anxiety over not knowing who she is to Greta feeling so hard for everyone but learning to be there for them, not have to fix them.
Not only that it's full of POC and queer and disabled characters who love each other so deeply.
It's such a gorgeous, gorgeous story. I can't love it enough.
Wonderfully gentle and heartfelt, as are all Katie O'Neill's books. I just can't get enough of these precious little tea dragons!
I adore everything about this graphic novel series and I’m so sad that it’s only a trilogy, I would love more adventures from this world. Katie O’Neill’s art is so beautiful and emotive, some scenes didn’t require any dialogue at all to explain the thoughts and emotions of the characters and I think that just proves how phenomenal the artist’s work is.
The stories Katie O’Neill creates are so charming and inspiring, I feel cocooned in such a heartwarming and accepting world when I read the Tea Dragon stories. There is nothing I would like more than to have my own Tea Dragon, and I don’t even drink tea! There are such important elements to the stories in this series, part of The Tea Dragon Tapestry focuses on grief and finding happiness after you’ve lost someone dear to you and usually I find it so difficult to read stories so steeped in grief due to personal loss but I felt safe in this world that Katie O’Neill has created with such care and respect.
If you haven’t had the chance to read any of the books in this series yet I would definitely recommend them, I have rated each one 5 stars as each one is just as beautiful as each other.
The Tea Dragon Tapestry is a lovely book by Katie O'Neill.
They say don't judge a book by it's cover, but I totally did! The cover is absolutely stunning and drew all of my attention in when I saw it. Of course, then I read the description and found out more about the book, but that cover is attention grabbing! I love it! Bright oranges, reds and pinks all make for a really nice colour scheme. I also adore the cute, little dragons inside at the beginning of the book. So adorable!
This is a great graphic novel for middle graders, YA fans and adults alike. It's a fun, fantastical read that will whisk you away to a magical land with dragons.
I do wish I had read the previous two books in the series before grabbing this one, but it didn't affect my reading enjoyment too much. It more just made me super curious about the series, if anything.
Overall, the Tea Dragons are adorable and magical and everything I want in a graphic novel! It was feel good, heart warming and a fun ride. Selfishly, I kind of hope there is a television adaptation because I'd love to watch these adorable guys too.
Four out of five stars.
Thank you to NetGalley and Oni Press for providing me a free copy of this book in exchange of an honest review.
I have read the other 2 tea dragon books and really enjoyed them. This one was no different. It was short but a pleasant treat. I love the cute tea dragons and all the simple town happenings.
An extremely wholsome tale about emotion and belonging complete with our favourite tea dragons and their guardians.
The Tea Dragon series has such a cute style that makes everything feel so cozy and warm in your heart as you read. I just want to adopt every one of the little dragons for myself and take pictures of them all day.
But don't let these colourful drawings distract you for the complexity of the story. In this third volume they talk about topics like dissabilities and grief and how others can help you process it. These books are filled with important messages to young readers as they're entertained with the sweet story and cute illustrations. Plus they're less dialogue in this one and it focus more on the visual aspects so it fits perfectly to early readers.
If you've enjoyed Katie O'Neill's art so far you will definitely love The Tea Dragon Tapestry
Oh, my heart. It’s still tender because it swelled up by three sizes while reading this adorable and beautifully illustrated comic. Queer found family, mischievous tea dragons, being a supportive caretaker and friend for someone grappling with grief... my heart’s swelling again. The art is truly lovely, and I wish I could share some panels that made my jaw drop in awe. I need to hunt down the first two installments of this series.
Disclaimer: I received a free e-ARC from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
I've read and loved every Katie O'Neill's graphic novels. I felt so much joy going back into the world of Tea Dragons and especially back with Minette and Greta. I've loved everything from the colors to the story. It very much deals with grief and the many aspects it can take. But now I am angry I will never be blessed and own a very cute tea dragon. I need one in my life.
I loved this conclusion to the series. This is such a beautiful graphic novel series, and probably my favorite. The illustrations are gorgeous, the color scheme is pretty, the story is so wholesome and touching, and the dragons are adorable. This appeals to a wide array of readers, from children to adults. It presents such great themes and lessons and diversity. Highly recommend.
"Everything that happens is part of your wholeness. The sadness, the loss, the hurt, as well as the joy, the love, the friendship -- it is all part of your tapestry."
I've had to do a lot of self care this week, so getting approved for one of my most anticipated graphic novels of the year was absolutely perfect timing. These graphic novels are beyond comforting; they feel like such a safe space, and the art is so stunning and adorable and soothing. You know the feeling of lowering yourself into a warm bath and feeling all your muscles relax? That's honestly how it feels to read Katie O'Neill's books.
It was just wonderful meeting all of these characters again. Greta is trying to become a blacksmith apprentice, Minette is trying to come to terms with her past and figuring out what her future will bring. And Hesekiel and Erik have me soft as always. This was a truly beautiful ending to this series.
P.S.: I need a chamomile tea dragon in my life so badly. Have you seen the plushies in Oni Press's webshop? They're to die for!!
Each installment in the Tea Dragon series just builds and gets better! Per usual, I loved the cute illustrations, especially of the small dragons, but also the beautiful backgrounds and color work. The characters all have distinct personalities, and you build a little more on some of the backstory with some beautiful silent strips between the dialogue. The third book takes a deeper dive into grief, which was timely for me, and how others can care for those experiencing the emotion. I think it's a really important message to send to young kids, but told with care and with love that will make it seem approachable and understandable as a topic. Anyone who enjoyed the other books will love this stunning conclusion.
I love Katie O'Neill. I read everything of hers as it comes out. The Tea Dragon Books are wonderful and beautiful. The Art, the story, the characters. It is magical and real. These books have a way of sucking you in and keeping you caring about these characters as they grow and change and learn. I love this series, this author so much. Everyone should read all of O'Neil's books. Love love love love love.
