This is a great book of quizzes for couples to take together to learn more about each other. Part 1 is about individuals with quizzes (two copies of each) in chapters on Favorite Things, Hobbies and Interests, Food, Entertainment, Personalities, Friends and Family, Travel. Part 2 is quizzes to complete together in chapters on Best Qualities, Intimacy, Our Past, Our Present, Our Future, and Our Couples Bucket List. The book closes with an "Ask Me Anything" bonus, where you can ask about questions that came up during the book or that you had in mind, with guidelines on how to ask and communicate.
Overall, I think this is a good tool for opening communication and learning more about your partner, no matter how long you've been together.

This was a really cute book to work through both by myself and with my partner. We learned quite a bit about each other and ourselves.

this was a great relationship builder. I loved that there were worksheets for both parties and the questions were more than just "what is her favorite color". What I am saying is it didn't have that corny "honeymooners" tv show vibe that most relationship books focus on which is memorizing facts about your partner. This was fun. I think if it were a tear out book it would be even better!.

I thought this was a very fun and helpful way to get closer to your partner and learn more about them. We made it into a game and it got quite competitive at times! We both enjoyed finding out things about the other that we never knew previously.

This quiz book had a lot of fun and interesting questions to ask your partner. My partner and I did it less like a quiz/game and more as a "ooh let's ask each other random questions to kill the time" type of thing. It's funny though - there were definitely some questions that I struggled to answer.

The Couple’s Quiz Book by Alicia Munoz

I have to admit I don’t know what I was expecting, but I didn’t think it was going to be so time consuming. Trying to get my spouse of 40 years to be committed to the time and that is where the frustration came in to get this completed. By the time I would get my section done and then explain it to my husband and then he would do half and then be bored with it. So, I would feel like I was nagging him to complete his part of the section. He said that some of the sections were useful, but it became monotonous to the point that he only did it because he knew I was reviewing the book otherwise he would not have done it.
So, I asked a friend who is in there mid 30’s to look at it when we had them over for dinner. I didn’t tell them anything about reviewing the book or my husband’s opinion and after two sections they politely told me that they thought it was superfluous in areas and that just to sit and do this is really time consuming. I can see where a couple can do it over time, but I know my husband would lose interest and the book would sit there and gather dust. I would badger him to do his part and then to find time to sit and do all the other sections together. I guess if a person is having major communication issues and they really need to do something about their marriage this is something they could look at doing. I personally think it’s just a lot to do, but I am sure it would help others open up lines of talking and discovering more about each other that you might not know such as what pet they might want to bring back to life if they could.
I received a advanced copy from NetGalley and Am willingly giving my thoughts and opinions.

I loved the idea of this book but it just didn’t work for me personally. I don’t even know what I would choose for some answers, and some of the choices were stupid to me.

Also, the questions that said you would get a bonus point for knowing that the song was My Favorite Things or what amuse bouches means were ridiculous to me and didn’t have anything to do with the book itself.

My husband and I have been together for 11 years and we are always looking for and partaking in couple's quiz books and questions. This book had a fresh set of questions that we have not asked each other before. Who knew there were still things I didn't know about my husband? Highly recommend this for couples new and old. Not only did we have fun while answering these, but we also learned new things about each other.

This was pretty cute! I did these quizzes with my husband and it was more fun than I was expecting! We actually learned a few new things about each other and we've been together for over 10 years. This would be a great idea for a date night!! I give it 4 stars because it was kind of difficult to do on Kindle. I feel like a physical copy would work better.

If you are in a relationship and you are home with some time, this book might intrigue and/or entertain you.  There are quizzes in loads of categories, everything from favorite things to food to travel to couple's pasts, present and future.

This title is written by a couple's counselor.  She notes that these quizzes are not about competition but about knowing one's partner and nurturing a relationship.

This book seems quite appealing.  Partners can see how well they know each other and also enjoy learning more about someone with whom they are deeply involved.

Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this title in exchange for an honest review.

This book has become one of our favorite quarantine activities, I love a quiz, and I love spending time with my boyfriend, and this book marries the two! We both have enjoyed having something new to do, while stuck indoors, getting to "interview" each other and learn more about each other. After being together for over four years, this quiz book shows you there are still things you can learn about your partner, and have fun - in a silly and non-competitive way.

I look forward to the conversations & insight this book will continue to bring to our relationship! I would however love to see it paired with more beautiful artwork, which would be the quizzes seem a bit more fun.

Thank you to Netgalley for the eARC in exchange for my honest review.

This workbook is absolutely adorable and helpful! My husband and I have been married 20 years and there was still so much I didn’t know about him! He was pretty clueless about me too. So glad I received a copy of this from Net Galley and I’ll recommend it to patrons at our local library as well as couples I know. Each quiz is specific and at the end the author gives you follow up suggestions for a long lasting relationship. And I loved that even though it was an ebook format, you can still highlight/answer questions.

This book is more of a guideline or reference that draws off of John Gottman philosophy. Gottman is a relationship communication wizard and has provided not only copious amounts of research but also assists in strengthening the relationships with couples.

This book helps this effort by being a more refined and adult edition of Pepsi or Coke. As we get older, we change. This happens whether you’re in a relationship or not, and this book helps you rediscover your partner with questions about likes to dislike and everything in between

I really like how this book is set up, instead of just asking a question and moving on it invites more discussion and communication. I had fun learning things that I didn’t know about my significant other despite having been together for 10 years. I would definitely recommend!

I thought Alicia Muñoz's "The Couple's Quiz Book" is an excellent resource for couples to get to know one another and experience a deeper connection. Great job!

As someone who's been struggling with not only social isolation but also a long-term long-distance relationship in which our busy jobs allow us only short daily calls, this book was literally DESIGNED for me. Alicia Muñoz was seriously reading my mind.

I was hesitant at first whether I should include this book in my reading challenge for 2020 because it is mostly a quiz book, but heck - I read it, I loved it, I talked about it, I laughed about it, so here it is!

I already owned this author's audiobook "No More Fighting" which I've been meaning to listen to, so I knew she was a well-known relationship counselor and author. So when "The Couple's Quiz Book" came out, I was drawn to the author AND the really cool premise: a book of quizzes crafted by a professional counselor to bring you and your partner closer to each other. You can tell it was written by someone who knows her profession through the design of this book. It is composed of two parts: while in the first one you answer questions about your partner, in the second part you both answer questions about you as a couple.

I also think the topics are fantastic, ranging from hobbies, adventures and personalities to your past, present and future. If this doesn't bring you closer together by the end though laughter and long conversations, I don't know what will. It can definitely highlight big personality differences in new partners and raise possible red flags, too, which is very valuable.

The only remark I have is that there are some questions which are specifically US-centric, such as your favorite childhood Halloween candy or favorite part of the country, which I feel should have been left out for the international readers. However, overall, we managed to substitute the questions, for example to the favorite part of another country.

*Thank you to the Publisher for a free advance copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Taking quizzes about relationships is literally my favorite thing, so when I saw this book was coming out, I HAD to read it. & it did not disappoint!!

I loved the progression of this book - each chapter focuses on a specific part of your relationship, i.e. intimacy, your past, your future, hobbies, etc. I would definitely recommend buying the physical version so that you could mark it up easily! However, you can still highlight etc on a kindle and there's a note at the beginning for a how-to which is nice.

We flew through this book in about a week, working on it each night. I loved the new little things we learned about each other and loved how it made us reflect on our marriage.

Definitely recommend this book!! Thank you to NetGalley for giving me an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Y’all, “The Couples Quiz Book” let me tell you-

Oh my giddy aunt, what a fun book!

When my husband and I get the rare chance to go out sans kids, we find that we often have a hard time getting back into the grove of talking about “us” as opposed to our kids. I know this is common because a couple years back, a friend of mine gave us one of those convo card starter game things to keep in the car for such a time as this.

This book is different because who doesn’t love to be competitive against their better half only to prove that you in fact know your better half better! It’s a total game.

Last night once the kids were in bed, I asked my husband if he wanted to do some quizzes with me. He said “I like quizzes.” So we did the first one. Then he said, “Are there more?” This is husband-speak for “That was fun, let’s keep going!” It was a great, quick way for us to reconnect after a day of being separated. We realized that we knew quite a lot of random things about each other, and even had some creative answers for some of the questions that made the other one of us go “I didn’t know you realized that about me!” or “That’s a better answer than what I was thinking!"

It’s amazing that there are two copies of the quiz, so each partner can take the quiz without seeing the other ones answers. Topics are fun and really probing. For example, there is a question that asks who your partner feels a ton of integrity. Maybe you’re more intellectual than us, but my husband and I have never sat down and said “You know who I think has a lot of integrity? _____.” After knowing I was going to loose a point to this question, I just guessed Dustin from Smarter Everyday. Turns out the answer is actually my husbands best friend, (augh, duh Natalie) but it was a great mini convo for us.

We did three quizzes, or one chapter, in about 20 mins. The perfect amount of time to play a game without it getting old. I would definitely buy this to use on long road trips, date nights, and already plan to buy this for the couple who bought us the convo starter question card thingy. Plus, last night I lost the first set of quizzes by one point. I’m ready for a rematch tonight on a new topic.

A fun way to learn more about yourself, your spouse and your relationship.

I voluntarily read an advanced copy.

While I really liked the concept of this book and enjoyed many of the questions, but it felt targeted to a small audience. I know it was trying to be relevant in many ways but it was almost too relevant for many couples that I would work with. It’s not broad enough for me to recommend to most couples. I think the second half was much stronger than the first, but it fell flat for me. There are some questions that could be used but I didn’t find a single quiz that I felt was something that my husband and I would enjoy all the questions or that was something we could use as an activity in marriage/premarital counseling. It could be our demographic as a Christian couple in ministry, but it just wasn’t quite what I was hoping. I did love the set up of the ebook version and found it very easy to navigate and use!

Thank you Net Galley for the opportunity to review this book in exchange for my review.
